Used to go to IHOP alot but haven't been there for many years. Took our 7 year old there for the first time and he really enjoyed it. It was Labor Day and we went for dinner and it was pretty quiet. The young man who served us was so polite and knowledgeable. This is not your gourmet brunch place so don't expect that but it does the basics right. My wife got the country fried steak which was pretty tasty. The spinach was really well done and so is the garlic bread. The pancakes are fluffy though I would prefer fresh strawberries. You have 4 choices for syrup: original maple, strawberry, blueberry and pecan. The egg and home fries are average diner quality. Did not get to try the bacon because my son devoured them. Again, this is not a fancy brunch place, but with the right expectation, you may just enjoy it. read more

Aug 1 my family and I came here . Service was terrible. Tables were not cleared and staff was all in the back where is the manager . I ordered a cheese omelet and pancakes . Pancakes came out 10 minutes after the cheese omelet. Cheese omelet had hair in it. Not mine neither I looked. No one came to apologize and they made me an another one . I couldn't eat it after seeing the previous omelet. Instead of being open 24 hours maybe be open 12 and have a manager on site or people who want to work. Our bill was 94 dollars which isn't cheap but if it was good it wouldn't have mattered. We had to ask for drinks 2 times . I'm afraid we will find another place for our business. This happened a few weeks ago to Us but we figured we try again tonight . Hope corp or someone sees this . I saved our receipt if someone wants to contact us read more

Great place with ample parking, we came for breakfast with family and were seated quickly. Service was fast and food was great, we had egg white and spicy pobolo omelette, French toast, everything was fresh and tasted great. Place is small and was full but was cozy. Will come again! read more

Visited this place for the nth time now. We were seated as soon as we reached this place. The food was great , the inside of the place was good. As we were seated, we were greeted with coffee and sone fresh orange juice for the kid. We had biscuit sandwiches, fruit pancakes, breakfast combo, and fruit bowl. This came with extra pancakes. The overall experience was great as always. read more

Came here on as Saturday morning with a friend. The place wasn't as busy as expected and we were seated quickly and given menus. Pretty standard ihop experience. The waiter advertised that they had fresh squeezed orange juice and I ordered one not expecting it to cost $6.99! I ordered the bacon avocado eggs Benedict (which came with hash browns) and my friend ordered the breakfast sampler (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes). Nothing special about the location but its definitely a good go to when the craving for pancakes and breakfast foods hit. We were able to pay on the IHOP app by scanning the QR code on the check, which they handed to us quite abruptly, like within 5 minutes of serving us. I haven't been to an IHOP in awhile so I'm not sure if this is standard now. Also they didn't serve us water and we had to explicitly as for it so I'm not sure if that's standard either (usually places will offer you water or ask if tap is OK). read more

Sunday brunch... awesome fajitas... Saturday morning, fully packed, but it did not affect ordering or service... got the table quickly and we had a set menu. Chicken omelette Fajitas, and classic French toast... I guess it's been a long time since we ordered French toast, as its quantity (portion size) has changed. Earlier it was 6 slices but it is now 2 big fat slices (sticking to what America presents?) lol nevertheless- the food was good.. service was good.. a good old trad brunch... read more

The service was so very slow and the servers were all very young and inexperienced. It took over an hour to have breakfast there. The food is typical IHop food, exactly what I expected but the forgetfulness and slowness of the staff is inexcusable. They did have plenty of time to talk to each other and look at their cellphones. And did I mention the 7.99 orange juice ? That's what they charged. If you're in a hurry find another place to have breakfast. If you have all day and nothing to do this is your place. read more

I went here because I was in the mood for chicken fried steak. I knew IHOP had it so I decided to visit. I was glad I did. I went with my parents and our server was very patient when my mom couldn't make up her mind. He went back twice to check on us when my mom finally made up her mind. My CFS came with macaroni and cheese and both were delicious. The place wasn't crowded so it was quiet. I definitely will come back here. read more

Horrible service, when we got seated at our table we were never even given waters. Two tables got there well after us and still got Foodwe even got waters, when the waitress was taking the other tables order, she noticed we were there but it still decided not to come back. The ambience was as horrendus since we never even got greeted! We were there for 30 minutes and didnt even get water. i have been begging my boyfriend to go to ihop for a long time, and finally today the day came and i was so excited. We sat down and our server was very nice and attentive. everything was going well until our food came. my boyfriend's chicken was inedible, rubbery, and nightmarish. while my scrambled eggs were still partly raw and had slime and goo all over it. we were unable to eat our meal at all and still paid full price + tip. very sad and my boyfriend will not take me to ihop anymore and i have no problem with that. this was actually so disgusting and very disappointing. read more

Service was not good...food arrived cold and toast was burnt. Took 10 minutes to bring new toast.

First time dining inside since the pandemic. iHop Parsippany definitely calmed my pandemic fears. The service was excellent, extremely clean restaurant, the staff were all amazing. Had the best Belgian waffle, with melted butter, and strawberry syrup. Very grateful for the excellent indoor dining experience. This is a very nice IHOP that my FiL goes to ever other week with his crew lol! The staff is very friendly! And the place is always very clean! It is a typical IHOP, with the typical reduced menu. I miss all the old options, but you know, covid... Hopefully it comes back soon! You cant go wrong with anything here. From pancakes to waffles, they know their breakfast lol! We always go at off times like Tuesday nights etc, and we never really have any wait, nor is it really that packed. We combined have probably tried everything on the menu so far lol! Pancakes are always a solid choice, I usually try to get one of their seasonal specialty pancakes. Other than that, I am a fan of their burrito bowls with extra sauce. My wife is a fan of those as well. Im not the biggest fan of their french toast, it seems a tad bit generic, and they could do a better job with them. That being said, they are good, but really nothing special. One of my last favorites is the steak tips, either the breakfast or dinner option, both are fantastic! Its not the best steak, but for diner quality, it is pretty good! Whenever we go here, it is usually slow, but the staff is always super attentive! They also do an amazing job keeping the place clean. All in all, one of the better IHOPs that we go to. Plenty of parking outside lol! read more

What a rip off!!! I don't mind spending money for a great meal but this place is ridiculous. Two adults & Two children age 3 & 4 for a weekday breakfast $50.00 plus tip. $65. Breakfast. Adult portions were not great but priced fine. Where they get you is for the kids. Each ordered children menu pancakes (5 silver dollar sized) $5.79 each and does not include anything to drink so add 4 oz size chocolate milk at $2.79 each (what a rip off):. We could have gone to any diner for better quality food and most likely better service and price. read more

Always a great tasting breakfast! Manager is always pleasant and kind. The waiters and waitresses work hard!

It's IHOP right, so you know what to expect. However, there is a sign up process if the restaurant is busy which leads you to believe that you will be called by the order In which your name was recorded. Well that is not the case here- if you're not paying careful attention - regular customers and friends will be seated ahead of you- this is a terrible practice. We asked about the obvious slight, and was told that "it's just the way our names came up on the iPad" - to which I countered that the Information on the iPad is inputted in the order we arrived- it does not make sense to seat folks who clearly arrived after us before were seated.- That being said, once you are seated, the customer service & food are both good. My advice to this IHOP is to stop this practice. Full disclosure, this happened on Sunday at approximately 11am and we were a party of 2. Be better IHOP! read more

Had a sudden craving for some pancakes so I came here for dinner with some friends today. The food is what you would expect from an IHOP, but I've noticed that the servers I've encountered the past few times I've come here were all very very friendly. I will say that the service was quite slow today, which I found strange considering it was pretty empty. Still, the server was quite attentive, checking in to make sure everything was okay a few times. He even asked to make sure whether or not we wanted straws for our water (we love environmentally conscious restaurants) and offered to split the bill for us before we even prompted it. I do think the wait today was a bit too much, but I think always meeting such friendly staff members at this location compels me to bump my rating from a 3 to a 4. read more

IHOP - cannoli pancakes, churro pancakes - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

To echo some other reviewers...I can't believe I am giving IHOP five stars but everything is relative. This IHOP has been here for years but you would never know it when you walk in because everything looks brand new. There is an overwhelming number of staff in the restaurant and everyone helps each other. Our server was Antonio, he was by far one of the nicest, competent servers we have ever had. He was attentive, polite, well spoken, helpful, spotlessly clean in his appearance and a gentleman. There must be quite a few regulars because many guests knew the staff and everyone greeted each other with smiles. The restaurant was packed, it was a Sunday morning, but we were seated promptly, water and drinks delivered right away, order taken and food delivered before you could blink an eye. And the price is right. More reasonable than any finer around and it tasted better too. Whoever manages this restaurant is doing an incredible job. I will be back, but not too soon, my waist can't afford it. The bathrooms were spotless as well. read more

It's been a while since I had been to an I HOP. I was in such a mood for some breakfast for lunch and I am sure glad I chose this one. The interior looked like it was newly renovated and it was very clean. The waitress was super friendly and was patient with the amount of time it took me to get reacclamated to the menu. I ordered very basic items, eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns with French toast and it all came out perfectly done!! I did ask for no butter on the toast but having it on there was no biggy since the rest of the food was cooked to my liking! This is my new favorite IHOP! The bathrooms were also clean and I loved how organized and clean the server stations were! Will definitely be returning for my stack of pancakes that were earned from downloading the app Ate there on July 28, 2022. Hope the staff that worked that day gets acknowledged for this read more

Ordered the egg white garden omelette with red v velvet pancakes Colorado omelette and chocolate, chocolate pancakes. To begin, our server was kinda slow and asked us a million and one times if we were ok. My Friday delight on Tuesday. 59 cent pancakes today and there are not open at 7am as advertised. Did not open till 7:12. Not the way to start you're 59th anniversary day I defeated the purpose of just enjoying spending 59 cents and having some great pancakes. So to ease my guilt I decided to have the garden omelet. First time trying it. Broccoli, mushrooms spinach. Was ok. The veggies were not hot like the omelet, EVEN while most the veggies was in the omelet. If they were it would have been much better The place is very clean and noise level today was actually pretty low considering the crowd. I'm sure today they will get very busy. Ordinarily, Im not a huge fan of IHOP, but this location does a good job in preparing the food well, pretty quickly, providing generous portions, and staffing friendly servers. It doesnt have the stale feeling of other locations that I've been to. The wait is sort of long, but that's understandable, given how busy it gets. I got the spinach and mushroom omelette with blueberry pancakes and coffee. The omelette was delicious with lots of rich sauce, and the pancakes were decent--blueberries were more sugary than I expected. The coffee was good. read more

Stopped to buy waffles to go for the entire family. Well, each simple waffle costs $6!!! I had to buy one because my kid was expecting it, but I won't be back to an iHop. No wonder why the place was totally empty... Pretty funny the kid they had receiving people and taking carry out orders. She pointed out several times I was "Just ordering a Waffle"... The waffle is similar to what you get from waffle mix out of the supermarket. I am so disappointed! It's incredible they think they can charge $6 for this. And when I asked for the price they told me that I could add 2 eggs and 2 pieces of bacon for $2 more, what! $8 for something with no quality at all that cost them $1 max... As I said, I won't be back. I just pay high prices for food that has a minimum quality and taste... read more

Not usually an IHOP fan...just don't think the chain is that good. However, we had a great experience here . This location reopened about 8 months ago and it was renovated and it seems like everyone was retrained in customer service...thankfully because the sevice here used to be terrible. My daughter and I stopped here on a whim one day for "breakfast for dinner" and we had a pretty good meal. I had pancakes and two eggs fried hard and my daughter had three eggs, a pancake and hash browns. Now I know this doesn't sound like a meal that could ever get screwed up, but believe me it can. On this night though, the pancakes were delicious and the eggs were done perfectly. What I was impressed with though was the customer service. When I get a waitress that seems to be enjoying her night, is talkative, and has a smile on her face, then I know it's been a good service. I wish I could remember her name because she deserves to be called out for being such a good waitress. Three stars? Yeah, it's a chain that I expect to provide the same quality of food with each visit. It wasn't a superstar meal, but we did receive excellent service and a decent price. Perhaps another visit will get them another star. read more

It's IHOP, the breakfast chain restaurant. The food was always mediocre, but affordable. The place itself is spacious and can seat large groups.
