The one star is only so I can leave a review. I placed an order for pickup online and at the time my food was supposed to be ready I received a call informing me they were out of t-bone steaks. After figuring out they only had chicken fried steak and the lady who called me couldn't replace it with something comparable or give me two, asked put the manager Anita on the phone. She informed me she would refund me the difference of the two meals when we came to pick it up and I agreed. Upon pickup, she told us she meant she would refund the the price in food and I didn't appreciate her changing the tune upon arrival. I should have cancelled it then. But we were hungry and settled for chafing out order and the extra turkey bacon to make up the order difference. Open up the food and I had half a waffle that was also sliced in half, half the amount of fried potatoes that weren't crispy and cold, only 2 extra pieces instead of four to make up the price difference, cold half amount of hash browns, and the chicken fried steak . . . see the pictures. Nasty nonchalant attitudes . . . It's IHOP. Simple and not complex Won't be back at all read more

Would never come back again. So unprofessional. Staff on their cellphones in front of customers. Forgot our parts of our order. Staff was lighting scented candles in front of customers. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for our order, which half came out cold. And to top it all off they had off the clock employees who sat with her kids in the booth by us helping us when our waitress was gone! NEVER AGAIN! read more

never go there. first of all they don't care about customers. onions rings are super old. sandwich is like from yesterday. asking one thing the women there putting a complete different order. noone cares about customer service. cups are super greasy read more

IHOP - crispy chicken sandwich. #9 does it loon like one? - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Orangeburg, South Carolina

The food was delicious but was cold from the atmosphere. The entire place is cold. The staff walking around with big jackets, scarfs and mittens/gloves. Coffee was cold. Waitress never came back and check on us. I had to constantly ask other staff members for condiments. The restaurant was clean but the bathroom was a wreck. read more

I would give it a 3 1/2... The service was 8/10, very nice but very slow. Food is 9/10, Very good and rich but so filling I could not finish. Menu is a 6/10, it needs more options for lunch and such. Building was 9/10, very pretty and nice music. Bathroom was 3/10, very dirty... Prices were 5/10, a bit expensive but worth it! Overall- 66/100= 66 percent. -Anton Ego read more

Went in for brunch. Was immediately greeted and was about to be sat down when we asked if we could sit at a window because we had a loaded trailer and wanted to keep an eye on it. Waitress said no problem and sat us. As we sat there we had to listen to our waitress get berated and told by 3 other staff members that she shouldn't sit people out of her section and it just continued. We as customers felt very uncomfortable and just wanted to leave at this point. Lucky for us our new waitress came over and took good care of us. read more

This place is straight ZERO STARS! (couldn't post review without giving a star) The customer service is HORRIBLE! When we arrived, we let the female at the front know we needed a highchair for my son and she completely ignored us. Food was trash and cold and they literally didn't care for serving us. God forbid you tell them 'thank you' because the reply you get will be 'mhm'. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! read more

Waited on the check for 40 MINUTES after we finished eating. Would've walked out if I wasn't a good person. The waiter was sitting down on his phone on the other side of the restaurant the whole time we were waiting. He didn't stand up to bring us the check until we got up and walked to the front of the restaurant and his coworker alerted him we were "walking out." Also, there was NO HEAT in the building and it's 50° outside. read more

I ordered pancakes, eggs & turkey bacon through DoorDash. My Dasher has been waiting at this location for an hour & a half to pick up this order. The customer service representative was unable to get anyone from this location to come to the phone and give a time estimate. By the time this order makes it to me it will be lunch time. Unacceptable. read more

went in for a late lunch waited 30 mins to be seated waited 40 mins for our food and another 20 for the check food was gross not the cleanest place but our waiter Teresa was the nicest women in there busting her ass unlike all the other workers in there and Teresa is a manager not a waiter but she was waiting tables read more

I took my daughter for her birthday because it was one of her favorite places. We had an issue with our drink (something in it). The sweet girl brought out another drink and there was something in it. We figured it came from the ice box. My daughters chocolate pancakes tasted horrible. The manager never came over to address the issue and the sweet girl didn't know what to do. She just kept sending the girl with responses. Don't waste your time. It took forever to get the disgusting food/drink and the management was horrible. read more

I had to wait over an hour for my food and they didn't even get all of my food. My pancakes smelled like shrimp and my French toast tasted like spoiled milk. SO NASTY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. But the people who worked there are nice BUT DO NOT GO WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! read more

I would give it zero stars if i could. But letting customers waiting to beseated or to place an order to go is very bad business to let people seat and wait when they are not busy. I will not go back to this IHOP or tell it to any one else to go there for food service sucks really bad. read more

I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance. It disappoints me EVERY time. First, I walked in and waited to be seated as per the sign. No fewer than three people in the kitchen area saw me standing there for several minutes before one finally came out to seat me. I actually had two servers technically; a young man who was average at most, and a young lady who, while serving other tables, actually came over to bring my my coffee and then my order to me. The food was bland, which has only been my experience at THIS IHOP. When the male server gave me my bill, I had to wait several minutes by the cash register for a third woman to take my cash and my bill... only to walk away to give it to the male server. She said NOTHING to me at all. I walked back to find out what was wrong. When I did so, a teenager who was apparently the daughter of a server kept staring at me and laughing, then whispering to her mother. To add insult to injury, despite all this, I was going to leave a meager tip out of principle, only to be told they didn't have change for me. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Every time I've gone here has been one issue or another. The people here are young, undisciplined and haven't a clue as to what customer service entails. Had I not been shopping nearby, I would never have gone in. I'd rather drive farther out of my way than subject myself to this again. I get better service at a McDonald's drive thru. The only reason why I gave two stars instead of one was the one server doing double duty. read more

How does this place have 3 stars. Where do I start this place deserves no stars. Worst customer service I've ever seen. We've been here once before an customer service was terrible an it's even worse now. Management an every employee there should be fired. When we finally got seated we had to listen to employees yelling an cursing at each other. What kinda crap is that. Then they didn't even seat some other customers they yelled at them to take a seat an then they were never acknowledged again n finally got up n left an we should have too. If y'all have all you can eat pancakes an I have to ask repeatedly to get some that's a issue. Do y'all's self a favor go somewhere else to eat. We'll never be back here again. read more

The server at this location on February 14th 2021 at 6a-7a by the name of neketa G was very rude had to ask for everything. She said we no longer do hot syrup I asked when this started she stated a couple weeks ago. Last week I came to the same ihop and got hot syrup. And ease dropping on customer while they are on their phones. This ihop should have never opened back up. This server needs to be fired. read more

I'm certain this was the secondary testing lab facility for COVID-19. It may have developed in Wuhan, but this restaurant must have been a lab or something. Honestly they should look into it. This is the worst service ever. I called for approximately 8 times. I arrived to pick up my order and observed people in the kitchen that wasn't IHop employees. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! It took 25 minutes just for them to get a few drinks and another 35 - 40 minutes for the food. Mind you, it was 8:00 at night so it's not like it was during a busy time. Would give -5 stars if I could! read more

Twenty four hours a day this small town IHOP serves the best pancakes in America. During my third shift visit it came out apparently clear they were scraping the bottom of the human evolution food chain for the night shift. The inside was fairly clean and the bathroom appeared as if not touched the whole day. My coffee order came out directly however, it took a bit of searching for the waitress on duty for the refills. The meal came out nice and fresh and the order complete. Out of the IHOP restaurants this was the first with such inadequate service and the feeling that I would be solicited by one of the criminal elements nearby. I am more than positive this can be avoided by eating here during the regular meal times. read more

I have been to IHOP restaurants all over the country, and have always been relatively pleased. Until today. I stopped in for breakfast. The restaurant was clean. The server was prompt and polite. But the food, well the food was deplorable. I ordered an IHOP classic T-bone steak and eggs. I mean how can you mess that up? Well this is how. I ordered my steak medium well; That means a little pink in the middle. My state came medium rare; a whole bunch of pink was in the middle. I ordered my eggs over easy. They came far runnier than any over easy egg I have ever seen. But, I could've dealt with all of that IF the quality of the steak was better. The T-bone steak was disgusting not only was it not cooked as I ordered, but the taste of the meat was subpar at best. I understand that this is a local restaurant and many people frequent it on a regular basis. However, if you want a breakfast that is cooked correctly, and tastes good, may I suggest Cracker Barrel or Waffle House, because this IHOP is INOT! read more

Such a shame that a good chain can go bad. I went for my Bday pancakes and got THE worst service ever. 20 minutes passed before I got my 2 eggs, 2bacon strips, and a short stack. After having stopped for lunch quite often, decided to try their dinner hour. Sad to say the experience was severely lacking in both taste and customer service. We were adults and were seated in a booth. The next customers that came in were a family. Guess where they put them? Right behind us. Through out our whole meal we had this yelling, rambunctious child we had to listen to, rather than try and have a decent conversation. Food was extremely slow to come, and when it finally did, it was not hot. The "sauteed spinach" looked as though they flung a bunch of leaves into some grease and pulled it out. Horrid "flavor". The sirloin tips, although cooked to perfection, tasted like they had put sugar on the grill prior to cooking the tips. We had to ask repeatedly for coffee, sugar, the waitress actually rolled her eyes when told she did not have the right side (person got that awful spinach mess) instead of broccoli. All in all, the whole experience was terrible. Why do you put a family with a rambunctious child right behind 3 adults? It's not like the darned place was full, there were PLENTY of other places they could have placed the family, the food, even though we waited quite a while, was not hot, the tips tasted awful, spinach was horrid. The only saving "grace" was the fact the manager took 10% off. read more

I recently dined in with my twin girls of the age three years old along with my mother on Friday, April 6 2018, approximately 6:30pm and was treated with discrimination from the MANAGER DOTTIE CREEL! Dottie, walked in our area and began greeting her guest in which where 2 separate parities of white guests. Both parties were sitting next to us and Dottie skipped over my table and began greeting the second white guest and asked if they needed anything. I'm sorry but did she not see my family sitting there like every other PAYING customers?? Of course she did! Dottie just chose not to offer her same services to my family! Dottie can rest assure that I'm NOT DONE with her! I'm an educated woman of color that will not stand for blanant disrespect and discrimination! I will never eat at this location EVER AGAIN! If you want to give your money to people who don't care anything about you like the next paying customer then go eat with IHOP in Orangeburg, SC! read more

I have never been so disappointed in service in my life. We were seated at a dirty table and waiting for over 25 mins for someone to take our drink order...only after we prompted them did it actually get taken. One of the waitress' tried to get someone to help us; however, our service was terrible. After we finally ordered drinks, it took 15 mins to get them. Now, we have been sitting over an hour as everyone around us has gotten food (also came in well after we did, as well as, larger parties) we are still waiting. This was a weekly Saturday morning visit for us- but we will not be coming back. read more

I know it's an IHOP and I can be a bit of a food snob, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks. Last week I bought 2 organic lobster tails at Earth Fare for $9 so considering what you get for your money it's still worth mentioning. It was about 2:30 pm Saturday and there were 20 or 30 employees and no customers. I think they had some employee meeting. The manager was going on about 'stories' where an employee was threatening to 'rip out her throat' she was telling the other employees. I thought very inappropriate for a manager. Anyway we got a belgian waffle and a chicken florentine crepe, not normal IHOP fare but it was really good. Food quality (ingredients) could have been better but it was cooked well. We asked for extra butter for the waffle and ended up bringing out only 1/10th of a spoonful extra. Just a little strange. But overall the service and food was very impressive for IHOP and the waffle was crisp much better than awful waffle! Will return again! Only 3 stars because for the quality of the food it should have been less expensive. I had water because their coffee which I know is so watered down you can see through it was 1.99 a glass. I know that inflation is killing restaurant budgets but if people are going out and paying top dollar they should get more for their money. read more
