Start off, it was really hot in there & temp outside was 85°. Heat was on & set at 89°. Food- spinach dip was blistering hot & chips were stale. Salmon was a bit overcooked but tastes was good. Service- OMG.. HORRIBLE. No straws silverware, napkin & check. Had to ask multiple times & waiter NEVER came back with anything. The hostess was wonderful & brought silveware & check. Showed up for a late lunch. We ordered and waited. And waited. Finally our food shows up except for 2 chicken salads. We had to get up and go to the kitchen to tell someone because the waitress sure was not making the rounds to check on us. When they finally came out, we told them just to make them to go. Thinking they would make their mistake right, we looked at the bill and they had the audacity to leave those salads on there despite the fact that they never served them. We're normally great tippers but this lady got ZERO. The "salad" we got was lettuce and chicken. Nothing else. This is a sad excuse for an Applebee's and needs to be shut down. This Applebee's was the worst I've ever experienced in my entire life. Applebee's is one of my favorite dining spots. I ordered my favorite dish, which is the Bourbon Street steak. When my food arrived, the steak was overcooked and rubbery; it didn't have the professional quality of the Applebee's locations I've visited elsewhere. The onions and mushrooms were also overcooked and lacked the fresh taste found in other Applebee's. The mashed potatoes were terrible. I will never return to this Applebee's in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and I strongly advise anyone in the area to avoid it. It's dreadful. read more

I bought it to the managers attention and he said he would get someone in to clean. A follow-up visit revealed not much had improved. Upon closer observation, the stall, that had the most paper on the floor, the toilet was dirty. There was also something in the sink that was highly suspicious of vomit. If it wasn't, something should be repaired or exchanged to remove the offensive display. read more

Oh gosh how I wish I would have read the reviews! We travel full time and usually prefer to eat local but I was craving Wonton Tacos and there was an Applebee's 3 miles away so we headed over. What a mistake! The hostess was sitting in the bar when we arrived and seemed very troubled and bothered by our arrival. Our server was training someone else and was friendly enough but completely disappeared! Our food came out in a super random order, one thing at a time, by all different people so we never got to see our server again until we were done. Sadly, the wonton tacos I was craving weren't edible. They were tasteless, stale and chewy, no crunch at all. I let the training server know so she could inform the kitchen, she smiled and said thank you!! The other food we ordered was at least edible but definitely not worthy of the Applebee's name. Wow is all I can say the service here is the worst I've ever seen. They don't deserve any stars. There were three of us an when we finally got seated we put in are order. It took forever to get it an they weren't even that busy. A party of two was seated right before us an they ate an left before we ever got are food. When our food finally came we didn't even get napkins I tried to get our waitress attention an nothing. Finally I got another waitress to bring us napkins. We weren't the only people complaining there was another table having same issue with waitress. The only bright spot was there was a manager filling in from Columbia an he tried his best to make things right. I felt bad for him for being thrown to the Wolfe's at this location. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful. The website sucks! Phone number on site was wrong. I ordered take out, planning to pay online with gift card. Site asked for PIN number, even a graphic to show where the PIN number was located on the card. My gift card and their graphic did not match. No PIN number on my gift card, so had to use my credit card. At pickup, I asked if I could cash the gift card. Answer was no.
