My husband and I went here at about 8:30 pm Jan 9. There were no cars in parking lot so we thought they were closed. I saw on my phone that they were open until midnight so we checked the door and went in. We were the only customers. The waitress was nice and cordial. The food came out quickly but my pancakes were not warm. Waitress said that she would order some more. I heard her tell the cook. She used an excuse that she had taken the pancakes off of a hot plate and put them onto a cool plate! Pancakes were very thin also. May have been reheated. I don't know. The coffee was not hot either. I wanted to top my coffee off and it was not warm. My husband usually never complains about food at restaurants but after we left, he said that was the worst breakfast he had ever had! He had the 3 meats, eggs/ pancake combo with hash browns. He didn't eat the hash browns. I had bacon, eggs and pancakes, hash browns. Our eggs were scrambled and they were ok. Husband was in the bathroom that night with a messed up stomach. He never has stomach issues! Very bad experience. Not trying to get a free order of pancakes or anything else. I just think the manager needs to know. There's so many things about this ihop some good some bad. I give it a two stars and I feel bad doing it. The manager and most employees are very friendly and kind people. We get seated quickly and served with smiles and friendly attitudes. The food is just OK - I stick to breakfast. Although the waffles and French toast have always been good! The coffee is good too if you're not a coffee snob. The place itself is dirty - the floors sticky the tables not super clean, the window sills are dusty and you'll see the random dead fly. The doors walking in are greasy with hand/finger prints since it probably opened. It's NEVER cleaned. We know what we're getting into when we go - lol - so we do keep going back hoping they'll step it up. Also because there's no other good breakfast places anywhere for miles. My friends and I stopped at this IHOP at about 9 PM on a Friday night. There were a couple of tables in our section not more than four or so. The waitress who came to take our order, seemed very friendly and didn't have a problem with our slight changes to the meals we wanted. We did get our ice water, but then we never saw her again. We saw other waitstaff and some of the tables getting food, but never saw her. 35 minutes after our order had been taken and we were running out of water and our friend never got served her coffee. I went to the hostess to say we've been waiting that long. She went into the kitchen area and the next thing we knew she was at the table next to us, but never actually commented to us about what was going on. I always get their French toast. When visiting this ihop today with my friend I'm usually with, we go ahead and order our food when we ordered our drinks because we get the exact same thing every time. Our waitress was nice and went ahead and took both orders. She brought us our drinks. And we figured our food would take 15-20min like it usually does, we've never had a problem waiting that long for our food because we both also work at restaurants. Well our food came out within 5-7min of us ordering and our waitress gave us to-go silverware. Idk about y'all, but we can't cut our food with that tiny plastic knife. There was only one other table in the restaurant, so we figured we just came at the right time for our food to come out that fast. Also, our server brought the check out with our food. As servers, we understand that bringing the check with food is a simple way of saying "hurry up and get out". Okay. The food: French toast: tasted spoiled, like it was out of date. Sausage: tasted artificial. My friend's hash browns: transparent and felt like rocks. We didn't even have to talk to eachother. We just gave eachother that look of "we gotta get out of here". When we were paying for our food, the waitress said "oh y'all are ready? Y'all didn't eat too much" and my friend explained that the food just didn't taste good this time and told her it tasted spoiled. The waitresses asked which part of the meal tasted spoiled and we told her it was the French toast. She then responds with "oh I don't eat French toast, so I wouldn't know". I'm staying at one of the hotels behind the ihop, so I just came here cuz it was the closest thing. I walk in and make a to go order. At first, I kinda got the feeling the waiter that took my Togo order was new, but now, after replaying the events in my head, I think the dude was just high. "Turkey n avocado Bennie." (Hands me menu) can you show it to me so I make sure I don't get the wrote one. I hadn't looked at the menu, because this is my thing I always get from IHOP, but whatever, find it for him, point to it. He reads the description, and then writes down "turkey and avocado Bennie" (like for reals, you couldn't trust me? But whatever, I'm hungry.) He goes to the menu, and then comes back to ask me how I want my eggs. I say "oh just the way they're supposed to be." And then he comes back saying "the screen says scrambled, over easy..." "Ok...scrambled." At this point, again, I just think he doesn't know his menu and he's new. He calls 2 other people to help him make this order. The manager is even involved. It takes 10 minutes to make the damn order man wtf!! I know because I'm sitting 7 ft away, seeing everything. I heard the other waitresses tell the dude he shoulda ordered it differently, which shoulda been a red flag. So the food is done. HERES WHY I THINK THE DUDE WAS HIGH: he brings me the food. It's fucking wrong dude. The hash browns are missing, and I tell him n he just says "you just said Bennie, not hash browns" which dude, you made me point it to you on the damn menu man. So I give him the money to pay, whatever, fuck the hash browns, let's get this over with. He leaves, and then comes back and just hands me a receipt, no change. "Here's your receipt" so I give him a weird look and take it from him and place it next to the food. He then says "I need that" grabs it and walks off. If you need it WHY ARE U GIVING IT TO ME. Goes to computer. Stands there staring at screen for 3 minutes. Screams some persons name and leaves again but to the back. Come back minutes later. It took me like 10 minutes to get my change and the register was 7 ft away, because Einstein was walking around in a gaggle fuck the whole time. Holy shit dude. I wish I coulda recorded it. But my phone was dying from no battery. I'm writing this from the hotel, enjoying my hash brown less turkey and avocado Bennie. Typically if I'm hungry around Natchitoches my stop is the Huddle House but today (5/26/14) I was feeling the urge for some chicken fried so IHOP was the stop.... I glanced at the reviews as I was walking in but they didn't phase me cause I wanted that chicken fried... one thing I did notice was that most of the reviews had been written back in 2013.... Anyhow upon entering I was greeted & seated with a smile and had a wonderful waitress, Kathy W., who was prompt and always seemed to be there when I needed her but definitely wasn't the smothering type... Now my meal was on point, the chicken fried steak was cooked just right, tender & tasty, the gravy was warm and good and the eggs and hash browns hit the spot.... Now if I wanted to be bitchy I could complain that it seemed to take my order a bit long to come out but I'm not gonna be bitchy about it cause I didn't mind a leisurely pace as I was taking a leisurely pace back south from the Boss City and a fun Memorial Day weekend visit with friends.... Safe to say this was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, and I definitely eat out a lot. I'd like to start this off by saying I work at a restaurant as a server and so does my friend I went to this IHOP with. We were on our break from working a double and wanted to get some good food for cheap. We went here because we go here a lot and we enjoy it (usually) very much. My friend and I walk in to enjoy some lunch and get seated at a middle booth (because we thought the flies wouldn't bother us as much). We got sat and the waitress got our drinks and order because we were already ready. She came back about 5 minutes later and gave us some plastic silverware and some napkins. I'd say it wasn't until about 5-7 minutes later she brought us our food. We said "that was fast". She gave us our ticket right away along with our food and we started eating with our plastic silverware. I immediately could tell there was something wrong with the food. I went up to what looked like the manager and asked him if we could have actual silverware to eat with because we didn't come out to eat so we could eat with to go forks. He automatically said he was sorry and got us some immediately. As I was walking away from talking to him, I saw her standing sort of by our table and she asked me what the problem was and I just said I didn't see her so I asked him for some. Why did she give us plastic? Laziness? Not sure but it's a -1 for me. She went to the back after and came back to stand at the host stand but sat there and watched us eat like a hawk. We began eating while she was watching us and we both took a bite of our French toast and looked at each other like "let's go". But I gave it another chance and started eating my hash browns... mistake. They were like rocks in my mouth and transparent. They were old. The French toast was sour and soggy. At that point we paid our food and began to get up. She came over to our table and said "y'all didn't eat very much". I explained that it was spoiled and our stomachs just couldn't handle it. She responded "Oh, I don't eat French toast so I wouldn't know" and gave off a giggle. I said "it's okay don't worry about it" not like she was going to anyways. We walked out and she said to have a nice day. We said "you too" and left. Looking back, we probably should have gotten our money back, but oh well. Just wanted to let some of y'all know, it's not the best restaurant in town. I would also like to re-announce my statement of why we did not make a big deal out of spending our money there. As I said earlier, we both serve at a restaurant and know how much of a hassle it is for the waitress/waiter to take something off of a ticket, but it would've been nice of her to ask if we wanted anything else. Honestly, Denny was better and at least their coworkers are nice to each other...the respect for some employees was crappy. Apparently one of the other workers missed my food, there was one server, he was super sweet but others were giving attitude and other things. I honestly never seen a place full of more high school drama than nursing and that's saying something. It is very upsetting as this place was labeled as a starter job and this place is so toxic. The fact that there is drama between employees and it seems the manager was having a bad night but it isn't okay to take it out on your team, and they're also slightly against the LGBT community but I don't know because they kept calling someone a name that wasn't on their name tag but I'm not sure, but that's what I saw. Honestly, the food was decent but I don't really blame the cooks. The manager seems crazy and disrespectful all around. I don't know but I feel maybe the HR or even health department needs to check in on some behavioral issues in the managers and other things. But I won't be visiting this place anytime in the future and I'm gonna advise my family and friends to stay away if I need to, but meh, it's ihop ‍ read more

We went here with a very large group. I'm so sorry to say this was probably the worst experience I've ever had dining out anywhere. I was hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt because I have had good experiences in the past at other IHOP's. It took forever for anyone to come and take our drink orders. Once they took the orders it took forever for them to bring them. When they finally did bring the drink they only brought some out and for about the other 10-12 of us we had to continue to wait. After waiting and waiting and waiting some more..... We had to go get them and ask for our drinks. Our waitress apparently didn't want to wait on us??? We had a new waiter and he had to come and retake our drink orders. I guess he got lost because a 3rd waiter came in. About an hour after being seated and going round and round with 3 separate waiters we finally got our drinks. Then after waiting even longer they finally came back and took our orders. The service/ management definitely lacks at this particular IHOP. By the time we got our drinks, ordered our food and got our food we had been there almost 3 hours. This is insane, someone from corporate needs to come in and re-train their staff. By the time we left we had our 4th staff member trying to come in and fix the tickets. It was a huge mess. I strongly advise that unless you have A LOT of time to waste keep driving. There's better options with better and faster service. I thought maybe the blonde lady that was our original waitress was just having a bad night or something. There's no way 4 people can all be having a rough night..... Is there??? read more

Definitely not the best IHOP I have been to. To start off with, I had to wait 2 minutes before the hostess sat me. Then, once I sat down, there was a foul odor that lingered about the area. My waitress was very prompt and pleasant though, which is why I am rating 2 stars instead of 1. I ordered country fried steak with grits instead of hash browns and pancakes. When my food arrived, they gave me the hash browns instead of grits and the pancakes were so cold that the butter wouldn't even melt on them.
