I ordered online for a Togo pickup. I ordered a Colorado omelette with avocado. I paid extra for the avocado. When I went to pick it up the server SPECIFICALLY asked me did I have the omelette with avocado. I said yes! I get home there is no avocado on the omelette. Something in the omelette was spoiled, because it tasted funny. Every time I go to IHOP I get the Colorado omelette. It wasn't suppose to taste how it did today. I feel physically sick from the couple of bites I had from that omelette. I threw it away, because it was disgusting. I contacted customer service about my experience today. The individual from customer relations totally disregarded what I was saying, and insisted that the food I received today was able to be served to customers. read more

This is probably the worst IHOP in the state of Illinois. I was informed that there would be an hour wait just to have our meal served because they are backed up in the kitchen. There always seems to be some excuse of some sort for the lack of good customer service here. This was the nail in the coffin for me. I will no longer patronize this particular business/location. Went here for brunch at around 10:30-11 am on Saturday. Although the line to be seated was long, the hostess was very quick and friendly and did not wait for long. Our server Clara was phenomenal! Very fast, friendly, and check in with us a lot (which we really like)! Overall this IHOP was great! read more

This place wasn't as bad as the reviews made it seem. I don't know if I just went on a good day, but I enjoyed it. The food was good, the staff greeted you nicely, & the waiter that me & my family had, Tyrese, was nice, respectful, & understanding. But the customer service was a bit off. They definitely needed more cooks in the back to fasten things up because of others wait, but all in all wasn't a horrible experience. Would I come back? Maybe if I was out here in the area again. A little piece of advice though : come in the morning before they get crowded, because it starts getting bad when the crowds come. read more

Came here on a Sunday horrible horrible horrible!!!! Waited 30 mins just to get seated. The staff was just walking back and fourth not acknowledging any of the guests that entered. Finally when she approached us she had a attitude like she's been partying all night and didn't want to be at work. She asked if we wanted a table or booth. We said a booth. She said "well that's gone be another 10 mins" we said well that's fine we will wait. Then the older lady with a attitude said " what? They waiting on a booth for? And rolled her eyes" they are so rude mind you it was at 8:30 am and they weren't busy at all. We walked out because of the way we were treated. Even other guests walked out. Worst IHop I have ever been to. Waited 10 minutes for coffee. Waited on other people that came in after us. Copped attitude when we asked for coffee and we weren't ready to place our order. Oh well, we walked out and never to return to this IHop again. Will travel to IHop in Crestweeod where staff treats you like a person. read more

I will not be eating here again. The location is horrifically dirty. I was disgusted before even receiving my food; so I should have left beforehand. Tables are not cleaned and prepared for seating. The food is cold by the time you receive it... after waiting forever. I believe part of this is because of the lack of enough employee on duty during the week. The one star is for the nice and considerate staff. I just see a lack of care for the establishment and workplace. Something needs to change. read more

I have been coming here for years. One morning ordered a steak omelet carry out. Get home no hash browns. About 1 week later me and my wife dine in i mentioned that to the cashier with the drawn on eyebrows. She acts like i was trying to get something for free. By the way i mentioned it after i paid and was about to walk out the door. Sometimes all people want to hear is sorry to hear that happened. Had a great breakfast with my wife and the waiter was excellent. Leave the attitudes at home when you work in a business were you have to deal with alot of people. Found a strand of hair in a stack of pancakes. I was brought out a fresh stack. In other words it was swept under the rug. The manager didn't even come talk to us and apologies. Every thing else was good but the thought of that hair remains on the back of your mind. read more

This has to be the worst IHOP I have ever visited. The red head lady that seated us was very unpleasant. I believe her name was Melissa. She sat us at a dirty table. My friend was given coffee in a dirty cup and when we asked to speak to the manager the same lady that seated us came over. So not only is the manager the one who seated us, she didnt care that the table was dirty and said that they are suppose to inspect the cups but never aplogized. Good food. Soooooooooo, 1st I'll start by saying that I typically love love love IHop and anybody who knows me knows I love breakfast period! The horrible service started when we walked in the door! The waitress had a visible attitude when she approached us. She asked if we wanted a table or booth for our party of 5. We asked for a booth and she led us to one of the 4 seat booths. We asked to be moved and the bus lady recommended one of the larger booths but the waitress said it's the same size as the other 4 seat booth. My husband and I gave each other the side eye and I informed her that the booth was visibly larger! I had the children sit in the booth and I asked the waitress to look at the difference and she just nodded me off. She came back to take our orders and again with the stank attitude! She never confirmed any of our orders after giving them to her she didn't ask for specifics (i.e. how would you like your eggs, any cheese). I asked to speak with the manager because I could not take her any longer. I took the girls to the rest room and it wreaked of old plumbing issues! My daughters were too disgusted to utilize it! The manager came to our table and I informed her of the issues and requested a new waitress. She apologized and obliged my request. The new waitress was really nice and more attentive (The reason for the 2 stars). She did forget somethings but it was probably due to her not taking our orders. The food was not as ordered. I asked for eggs scrambled hard but they were soft and the coffee was old. I ordered the new bon bon caramel pancakes and the waitress didn't even know what they were because they had no caramel drizzle on it as advertised. The bacon was undercooked and the middle looked like it came right out of the package! Yes, that underdone! The manager did not come back to the table to check on us either. Needles to say I was very disappointed and angry about my experience. I will never go back to this location ever again! My friend and I stopped here for lunch today and I was really happy with the service our server named Cookie was very professional and engaging and was worth her weight in tips. She was on time with drinks and our food was promptly brought to us. I got better service here than other locations where servers were very slow in bringing stuff. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, but not impressed with the gross smell that was in their washroom that was a cross between cinnamon potporri and something rancid. I broke out my purse size air freshner and sprayed to make the area a little more pleasant than smelling something foul. I would recommend this place, but they need to keep the bathrooms clean and use a different kind of air freshener because cinnamon and bathroom funk is not cool at all.They also need to consider expanding their drink choices out a little more along with offering free refills on fruit juices. read more

Ok, I've been here several times to give a good review on take out orders. First time, I thought just not a good day for them. 2-6 times later, I must let you know. I'm mad. The Customer Service from the time you walk in and informing them you placed an online order takes way too much time. After you've told them you've placed an online order and you're there to pick it up, way too long. This last last time, I walk in and waited for the one customer in front of me to finish placing his order. This took quite a bit of time, not his fault. Watch how long it takes for them to enter and exchange cash. Now my turn, I tell her I'm here for pickup and tell her my name. Oh, I placed my order 50 mins ago. She then goes walking around the dining room til another person asked me what I'm there for. I replied online order. The original lady comes back again and ask me what I was there for. Now you gotta know my food is probably just sitting there all this time while this is going on. I had an estimate time that it would be ready in 25 minutes. I almost lost it. I asked if there was a problem. She said no, just had to go pack it up. Finally the original lady went to go bag up my breakfast. Very bad Customer Service. read more

Went here for breakfast with my family, best part of the entire experience was that our wait was shorter than the hostess originally told us. It went downhill from there very quickly. First, it took us over 15 minutes to get our drinks, and I didn't even get mine until 5 minutes after the rest of my party did. Next, we were ready to order (15 minute wait for drinks gives you a lot of time to read the menu..) and the waitress LEAVES US to take the order of the table who was just seated. Her words: "I'll come back and take your order after I take theirs they just sat down." Oh, so you take orders of people who just sat down before people who have already been here for 20 minutes.. backwards. Then, we wait for our food. It arrives, or should I say half of it arrives. Waitress tells us to enjoy, pretty hard to do that without silverware or napkins. So I ask for silverware, and get a DEATH STARE because apparently that's too much to ask. You'd think she would come back in a minute or two with silverware, nope we had to wait over 5 more minutes. By the time my brother got to eat his food, it was cold. She never apologized a single time, and really the restaurant was not busy as it was pretty cleared out. It was an absolute disaster and I will not return. read more

Horrible take out experience: I ordered the taffy caramel apple French toast ultimate breakfast without egg add grits with cheddar cheese, snowman pancakes, 2*2*2 and two breakfast samplers which came to $58 and some change. Let me say how awful the service was the snowman pancakes looked like just two pancakes in different sizes no whip cream no berries and no bacon, my taffy caramel apple French toast came with no filling no whip cream and maybe three to four burned apples didn't receive the grits at all. I called the restaurant and spoke to Melissa the manager who was very rude she basically told me I could not have a refund I could have a store credit I told her I wanted a refund for the uneaten portion only not the entire meal. After a 15 minute conversation and threats to call corporate, which I did, she says I will refund it this one time and hangs up in my face. I definitely will not return to this establishment that I usually go to two to three times a week!!!!! read more

Recently while running errands I called and placed an order for breakfast. The person who took my order did not identify herself and told me that the order would be ready between 15 - 20 minutes so I went to a store adjacent to the location to burn some time and pick up a few items. I arrived within the time specified to pick up my order and paid and waited an additional 5 or 10 minutes. I was not issued a receipt and when I questioned the cashier/waitress I was told she gave my receipt to someone else and they could not print me a new receipt. When I asked what if I am not satisfied with my order an unidentified female said to call her, she wouldn't identify herself and had no name tag. When I mentioned that she hadn't given me her name, she said I answer the phone. She also suggested that I check my food before I departed so I did so in front of her. Well part of the order was cold and the bacon looked under cooked. When I complained she said to me well we can warm it up. I told her no that would not be acceptable and then she responded with well you took so long to pick it up that is why it is cold. I will check the call log. I said to her you can check a call log but can't print me out a receipt? Really? She stumped off to have the kitchen remake the order and rudely yelled back at me that she would do it this time but next time when she said the order would be done at a certain time to be there at that time. I responded with as poor as the customer service was, this would be the last time that I would patronize that place. I complained to the corporate offices and they said that someone would be contacting me by June 20th. Someone named Ethel called from a cell phone and the noise was so loud in the background you could tell that she wanted to make certain it was hard to hear what she was saying. I had to play the message 4 times to hear what she was saying and when I returned her call there was no voicemail. Bogus! Don't go to this place if you want good food and good customer service! read more

Found a strand of hair in my waffle. Told the waiter, Mike, (who was extremely apologetic), asked me if I wanted another waffle or a discount. Needless to say I didn't want anything else to eat from them so he went to tell the manager, Michelle. She never came over to apologize. She took 20% off the meal but that wasn't acceptable to me. Money wasn't the point, I could have paid for everyone's meal but it was the principal. I had to ask for the manager in order for her to come over. She said she only gave 20%off ($1.97 to be exact) because it's based off how much you ate? Really? So she adjusted the bill and charged me for the eggs and bacon. (Hair might have been in my eggs also but didn't see it). Good customer service would have been to taken the meal off or gave a credit for the next time to try to get you to come back. But she didn't come to apologize even after I asked for her to come over, so why would I expect anything better. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed with this location. read more
