Came here after catching a movie, walked in at 130-2am and was seated quickly, Food was good had the steak tips meal w pancakes(those were the only good things I ate and finished) hash browns were burned and crunchy, I prefer soft and perfect, the eggs were lukewarm and the cheese wasn't even melted at all, lemonade had particles in it, nonetheless the steak tips were so flavorful it was my first time trying that and I'll get that again and the pancakes were great also. read more

This place is the worst place to have a meal at. Very slow service took them Over a hour an 20 mins to get food out on a very slow Sunday. The managers of this place did not want fix any problems with our food just pass it to the next manager an tell them gave them a discount just to get them out the door. Well, I entered only to be told there was a 15 minute wait, while waiting I noticed the waitress socializing with two of her loud friends who arrived after me and my friend. So I'm sitting patiently and I noticed a couple who got there after me being taken to a table...WTF???? Then the waitress seated her two loud mouthed friends, so now I'm irritated. Do not go to IHOP after breakfast hours because no one waits on you. This is my 3rd time going to this IHOP mid-day and the service was terrible each time. The 3rd time, yesterday was the last straw, we had to ask for a waiter & a lady sent a guy over who said he would get our drinks but he was about to leave so he wouldn't be our waiter. I ordered from UberEats today and they COMPLETELY omitted several items on my order. How do you forget syrup when there's an order for french toast and pancakes?! This is the worst IHOP I've ever been to. I've been going to this one since it first opened and it's just getting worse and worse. We're going to the one that's further away from here on. There isn't often much of a wait to get seated, which is great, but then it sometimes takes a while for a server to get around. It then takes a while for them to return. It takes a while for the food to come out. Many times something is wrong with the order -- eggs are cooked completely wrong, get the wrong kind of pancakes, something is missing from a dish, or missing an item entirely. The syrup bottles aren't kept very clean, so they're terribly sticky and dirty, if you even get all of the flavors. They no longer offer a hot syrup. Worst, many of the servers are, at best, detached or apathetic, and some are downright unpleasant. There are those few good ones who seem to care, have a pleasant demeanor, and seem to want to earn a tip. Being apathetic and not trying somewhat to keep our glasses full and see that our food is OK is a big mistake with me, because I'm a very generous tipper. Not being able to keep up because your workload is too much is not something I penalize for, nor do I penalize a server for a kitchen's mistakes when the server takes up to get it rectified. I do, however, penalize for obvious lack of concern and willingness to do a job, and I seem to be doing that a lot at this location. I suspect this is part of that store's culture, a result of bad management, and perhaps the servers are treated poorly by management which would make it harder to be that enthusiastic. I don't know. One example of crappy service: We've been in the birthday club for many years. The certificates always indicate that they're good for a stack of Rooty Tooty Fresh & Fruity (coupon says that large at the top) but in the print below says "or any other stack of our pancakes". In the distant past when the servers were friendlier and better trained we would be told up front that it even goes further than that: Order anything and the value of a Rooty Tooty stack would be deducted from the bill. Later they just went to only allowing either Rooty Tooty or a stack of something else as the coupon says, which I'm fine with. Then one year we had a server tell us it had to be Rooty Tooty and nothing else, and they wouldn't bend despite what the coupon said. I had already ordered and gotten and eaten my pancakes and then had to pay full price for those. Then for the next 3 years after that, it's been the same hassle every time: We present the coupon UP FRONT to make sure we're clear before getting to the billing, and we ALWAYS end up having to go through some hassle where the server starts by saying "That's only for Rooty Tooty", followed by us pointing out what it says below, followed by the server going back to the manager and coming out and saying the manager would allow other pancakes (as if this was some kind of special favor rather than what the coupon actually allows). Then this year was the worst so far -- I ordered the seasonal pumpkin pancakes and after going through the "that's only for Rooty Tooty" nonsense and me pointing out the "or any other stack" clause, I was finally told pumpkin pancakes aren't their normal pancakes so they don't count (as if she knew what counts -- she didn't even know about the "or any other stack" clause before I brought it to her attention!). After some further arguing over what should or should not count, the server reluctantly said she'd have to go check with the manager, and then came back and said in a pretty nasty tone, "the manager said they'd let you do it *THIS TIME*", strongly emphasizing that last bit, and for some odd reason the server clearly didn't seem to like the manager's decision. No idea why this should have been different from any other stack because although these are indeed seasonal, they're exactly the same price as a stack of buttermilk pancakes, and the coupon clearly says "or ANY other stack", not "only our non-seasonal ones". So that was the last straw, and the last trip to that crappy location. Oh, and yeah, they cooked the eggs wrong again and the food took forever and pretty much everything else was screwed up as usual. We've changed the birthday club deal to the other location where we always get great service. And one last thing -- they had WiFi YEARS ago, then it broke and sometimes worked, then it just went away. If even McDonald's can have WiFi, why can't IHOP??? read more

Walked in and walked right back out!!! Worst customer service I have EVER witnessed at any IHOP!!! There was a young lady at the register who refused to give us eye contact let alone a friendly greeting (the first ever at IHOP) then when I said "Hello" she said "Heyyyy" HEY!!!? WTH is hey, when ever was that an acceptable greeting to greet a guest at ANY establishment! And what made it worst was another server came to the register and like the first she also didn't acknowledge our presence! I asked "are we to seat ourselves?" And they both continued to ignore me and talk amongst each other, that's when a third worker approached the desk and I guess she over heard my question because she aggressively responded with "No, you have to wait to be seated!!" That's when I told my family let's go! I'm not eating here!! Like I said I never, Never experience customer service like this In ALL the years I've visited IHOP!! And mind you I've been a loyal customer for over 30 plus years!!! We show up when they open on a Wednesday at 6am as advertised on the Stonecrest IHOP website and on the door. We watch employees rush in. We give 10 minutes courtesy to set up. As we sit down at a booth, a woman lies to us saying they don't open until 7:15, which is a weird arbitrary time. When we point out that it says 6am on the door, she says with attitude "you guys are wrong and there is no food anyway right now." Needless to say, this was a poor customer experience. read more

By far the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I honestly had no issues with the servers but everything else is complete trash. My server came out got my order in a timely fashion only to give it to people in the back that clearly didn't know what they were doing. The establishment was almost empty so I can't understand why it takes over a hour and 1/2 to get food. Then a cook or someone comes from the kitchen out looking like he just walked off the street ready to fight a customer who was also unhappy about the service. This isn't the first time I had to wait long at this location but it will be the last I visit this location and I would advise others to stay clear!! So you can know how long I waited I got there just after before 2 and left at 3:30 with a party of 4 no wanted to sit there and eat anymore because of the wait time. This location should just close after hours if it's not able to meet the needs of the people that are coming there to spend hard earn money. read more

I came here around 10am for breakfast, but in actuality it was my dinner... You don't have to think about it; my sleep hours are more wrong than baboons throwing their feces at people at the zoo. Whew, good thing we evolved. MOST of us at least... most of us. I called it breakfast anyway because more than 99% of their menu items are breakfast foods, which by the way is totally wicked. This place is also open 24 hours, which means whatever damn part of the day you feel like having eggs, hash browns, french toast or pancakes? You can sure as hell feed the need. I honestly forgot what the plate I ordered was, but it was frickin delicious! It had grilled onions, potato squares (which basically seemed like small square shaped french fries), and a bunch of other stuff. What I do remember though are the strawberry banana pancakes. Two buttermilk pancakes cooked to perfection covered with slices of bananas and smothered with strawberries, all topped off with some strangely delicious strawberry like syrup (it wasn't pancake syrup though) and whipped cream. Ah yes, and scrambled eggs (obviously, you can have the eggs any style you like). If I order those same pancakes again, however, I would tell them to hold out on the whip cream. A hearty breakfast? Yes, I'd like that very much... Aortic valve stenosis? No thanks (see my review on In-N-Out Burger in Daly City). The service was spectacular. It was my first time going to this particular IHOP, but the waiters and waitresses greeted everyone in the same fashion, like a guest at their house. There seemed to be a lot of regulars there as well, most of the workers were calling folks by their first names and engaging in friendly/personal conversations. It was very busy when I went, but the workers still did their very best to come by and ask how everything was, at least twice. If I had four arms like Vishnu, I'd give this place 4 thumbs up. But since I'm not even Indian, nor am I a believer or follower of Hinduism, and am just a normal human, and only have two arms... I'll just give this place a well deserved five stars. read more

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Last night was my first time in over 2 or 3 years coming to this location. Needless to say, it will be my last time! We waited to be sat, which wasn't too big of a deal but I noticed that there were plenty of open tables. Once we made it to the table, I noticed it wasn't cleaned and asked the guy that sat us to wipe the table off. That took what seemed like forever! We wait 15 minutes before our server greeted up and finally wiped off the table. I tried to remain claim and not blow up and storm out. I was tired and hungry. He took our order but kept getting it wrong. He brought our drinks(I had water and my brother had Pepsi). The Pepsi arrived and it was only a little over a half of a glass. Wth?!?! The silverware was dirty. My food wasn't the best. A tuff pancake and too crispy bacon sums it up. This is one of the worse dining experiences I've had EVER!
