My nephew was with me they have the kiosk for the orders and I made sure that I accidentally didn't add anything I didn't need talking to a employee. The double burger is delicious and the fries price point is great also. The shake is delicious! They always had the shakes on lock the shake was so thick I had to pull my straw out of the cup to clear from the bottom before it would go through. I visited on 3-20-2026 pull up and check them out. It's clean and speaks to Steak & Shake's origin on Route 66. The food looked really good... Sorry I was down to my last bite but it was a great smash burger. Located near Stonecrest Mall makes this restaurant very convenient for me. Parking is always available although I prefer the drive thru. It's clean inside from the few times I have been inside and they are always friendly. The food comes out quick and fresh. My fav are their milkshakes. I've also ordered from DoorDash and my order has always been right I appreciate that. Anyhoo I will definitely be back just because of the service and convenience. Worst customer service I've ever seen. So bad it brought me back on this app after years gone by. Extremely rude staff and the female manager working lacked sympathy or concern for how inconsiderate her staff was acting. Food was good and setting was nice, but I can't stress how much the staff sucks.... I suppose I should explain... short version is rude girl says no when I ask if they have A1 sauce. Then she walks away while I'm talking to her. Then I said I'm not done and she says "I already told you no!", so I ask to speak to someone nice. So a cook comes out and I explain that we ordered a specialty shake and they didn't have it so it was replaced for a shake 50 cents cheaper. I asked since no refund was issued, can I just get the 50 cent bbq sauce. He said the sauce cost 54 cents and I need to pay the extra 4 cents. When I said "really? over 4 cents?", he replies yea, or you can get that refund. So I said yea, give me the refund then (knowing it was a bigger deal than just handing me some sauce). Two stars although the food is usually delicious the service is normally very slow. Today I was able to get seated right away because not many people were inside. Our server was very unconcerned about making sure we were taken care of. I ordered a steak melt with onion rings and sweet tea. The sandwich finally came out after very loooong time of patiently waiting. When the sandwich came out it looked awful and and it was cold and not very many onion rings at all. The sandwich didn't even look like a whole sandwich it looked like it was shared between two of us as in two different halves but didn't equal a whole sandwich. I ordered a milk shake right after my food came out. I waited 15 minutes before I asked the server how long it would take to get the milk shake. I was told that it would be five more minutes, that wasn't true at all, it NEVER came. The server offered the milkshake to me as I was standing in line to pay for my bill which she never gave me, so I was standing in line after waiting the longest for the milkshake and or the ticket so I could pay the bill. Never came. As I was standing in line the server gives me the very late milkshake never apologizing for bringing it over 30 minutes later. I told her never mind because I wanted it in a cold glass while sitting at the table. She looked annoyed and just walked away. At the register I was overcharged, the milkshake that never came was on the bill. I let them know that I didn't have the milkshake and they took it off my bill. This restaurant is near other restaurants in the same area, I will never come back to this location because the service is slow awful. This location... I can guarantee I will NEVER come back. I started off in the drive thru. I sat there for about 5-7 minutes without the line moving at all so I decided to go inside. I ordered a simple fish sandwich and fries and I ended up having to wait for 20+ minutes. I sat at the register and watched as I waited and after about 15 minutes I asked to speak to the manager who was also in the back preparing food. When the manager walked up I asked him for an update on my order, and expressed that it had been almost 20 minutes I had been waiting on 1 simple meal. The manager responded saying that he knows, and the cashier never informed him to drop the fish. No apology, no care in the world that I had been sitting there for 20 minutes. I kept my cool and continued to sit there and wait patiently. As I waited I continued to watch and I watched as the same manager dropped the ketchup bottle as he was preparing sandwiches. I had hoped that he would set the bottle to the side and change gloves after picking up the dirty bottle but he placed it back with the rest of the condiments and continued working. That was the icing on the cake for me. When my food finally did come out I did not feel comfortable eating it. The food score at this location is like a 79, so I'm not surprised that I had the horrible experience but I was sure to call corporate and I sure as heck will not be giving Steak 'n Shake any more of my money. First time at a Steak n Shake. It's around 1 pm, and honestly am very ambivalent due to not so good reviews. For me location is good and when I walked in there was no wait and I was seated quickly. My waitress Ms Kim, gave me my space to peruse the menu then took my order. Much appreciated since most places bum rush u. I ordered the sliders and substituted cole slaw for the fries..apple sauce was my other choice. I chose a strawberry milk shake also. My strawberry shake arrived first. it was thick and creamy but I don't think they used real strawberries. Will try another flavor another day. The cole slaw and sliders complimented each other. Lloyd was the best server I've had in a long time. He got my order placed very quickly and checked on me several times throughout my meal. He was friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was clean. There always seems to be a light mess because they are always so busy, but today it was clean; no dirty tables and floor was visibly clean. Orders seemed to be getting out quickly too. I ordered a milkshake and a burger and fries from the 2/$3 menu. My burger was made upside down. All items that were supposed to be on the top we're actually on the bottom, but it tasted amazing. My cookie dough milkshake was so good on this hot day. I love the quickness of this steak and shake and how friendly the staff is every time I visit. Read most of the reviews and still had to swing by and find out for myself. The funny thing is most of these reviewers can't even spell, yeah I get it you must've been using the phone. Recent reviewers informed the line wait is long, this is true somewhat. The drive thru line wrapped around the side, it took me about 15 min, i recommend to go here on a day when you are not in a hurry. Then again it was 10 cars ahead and the inside was packed. Royal burger w egg - not bad, it was tasty but nothing like the pictures. Obviously. Tossed in the bottom of the bag with my cup of fries on top, so when unwrapped it was somewhat smashed down. Chicken tenders 3 peices - Typical just like what you expect. Nothing bad to say about. It came with a tiny ranch cup that was 10% filled. Fries - skinny and not greasy at all. Totaled to about $9 not such a dent in the wallet. Service was ok, simple thats actually all I need. Don't really care for the super cheering corny worker type. I'm from the west coast so this was first time visit. I will comeback but only if I can't make it to Chik Fil A on time. read more

The last couple of times I've been there - the buns have been stale to the point of cracking and they put Kosher (white)- not dill- pickles on the burger. The fries were over cooked and cold. I've been to this location many times for breakfast and dinner. The cook in the AM is always friendly and accommodating, and the wait staff are attentive. The breakfast skillets are always good! Afternoons are usually pretty good, but when they're busy a couple of the servers can forget about you. I used to go for the burgers only, but the breakfast is awesome... And the pancakes are better than IHOP. The Chicago Dog is really good too. Managers are always friendly and funny as well as wicked helpful. I'll be back many more times! read more

#83 This is a tough one to write as I remember Steak 'n Shake from when I was a child. We would come to a different location about once or twice a month to grab shakes, fries--whatever we could sneak when mom was not with us and it was dad's night to "cook." It was my 'after cheerleading practice' favorite request. Apparently a lot has changed over the decades since I was dropping in with my dad and brothers as a little girl. The first visit we simply visited via the drive-thru to grab shakes on our way shopping. The line was super slow moving, but it was okay since we were in the comfort of our vehicle and planning our daily chores. After a serious ten minute wait in the drive-thru we received our shakes--the wrong shakes--yet we did not notice until we paid and were driving out of the parking lot. I thought it would be asinine to turn around, find parking, go in to the actual restaurant, find a manager and get the correct shakes--I supposed i would just deal with it. So now you ask, "Why the heck would you give them a second chance after that fiasco?" Well, I was still trying to convince my companion that Steak 'n Shake was as awesome as my childhood memories dictate. He gave in a few days later and we tried again as we were in the Stonecrest area meeting some friends. Well... Ugh ;( We decided to go inside and sit this time so that the drive-thru could not do us dirty again like last week. Not the best idea. We waited to be seated in a somewhat lightly filled restaurant for an exaggerated period of time. Then, we were not actually greeted but barked at, "Two?" I thought to myself, "Yes, wonderful, you can count, I guess we are off to a decent start here, huh?" Miss Personality (the hostess) took us to a dirty table littered with crumbs in the back of the restaurant and pointed and walked away. Ooooooookay... I guess we can clean our own table. We did, then we sat, then we looked at the menu. I shared that the fries were so dynamite and crispy, and we had to get some to split. At least, I would like to get some to share if someone would come and take our order. And, yes, about 15 minutes later someone did come and ask if we needed help. I felt as if I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone and Rod Sterling was about to step out from behind the counter and narrate some bizarre plot. But, not so. Just this ultra-classy waitress looking at me as if she were stabbing me with her eyes. Ouch. I decided to visit the restroom while we waited for the food to be served. I think that is about when I lost my appetite. I felt like I was at Fulton County Stadium after a double-hitter in the late 80's. You remember that old stadium, right? The vile bathroom upkeep? Some things one never forgets. Gross. I wondered if this Steak 'n Shake had an actual manager running the place? You know, teaching and training silly things such as customer service, service details, yada, yada, yada... I concluded that there must not be. I returned to the table, completely grossed out, and not really in the mood to relive my childhood memory of after cheerleading crispy fries at Steak 'n Shake. I was going to take one for the team and not let my companion know I was unhappy so he could enjoy his food--but I did not have to--he was ready to go as well. Something about the waitress and her attitude. I placed a $20 on the table (not sure why I thought $20 was a fair amount for the drinks, but whatever) and we left. I will not return. There's no difference in the provisions or the preparation of them... just different staff and service; maybe you may just get a different floorplan. Aside from the pre-made bacterial burgers they had. We only there to picking up a shake (comfort food) after a rigorous day helping Mom with her worsening health. The shake that we received (with chunks of real strawberry and banana) was simply awful it was tragic. Thinking that it was really thick and difficult to suck through a straw, Not, it was all fruit with milk on top, it had never been really blended. Most shakes are blended and the fruit is normally chopped up, this one went through the blender so fast the strawberries where still whole and the bananas where barely touched by the blades. We have ordered this shake from other stake and shakes and they are normally great. But, this one was the worst.
