Breakfast

Delicious and fast! I had the scrambled eggs, sausage and buttermilk pancakes breakfast, and everything was made hot and fresh. I was really grateful such a quick service so late at night.

2 eggs fried over easy, bacon & waffles

After we checked into our hotel, we decided to find a place for dinner. We knew that this IHOP was on University Avenue...and if we had paid attention when we pulled up to the hotel, we would have noticed it was right across the street. It took us asking the front desk clerk where it was for us to have that ding! ding! ding! moment. So...we crossed the street to have dinner. We both had breakfast for dinner. As it was still early in the evening, there were only a couple other tables that were occupied. Our server was prompt getting to us. We both started with a glass of orange juice and my husband also had coffee. He had the "bacon temptation omelette" which consists of: jack & cheddar cheese plus white cheese sauce. For his side, he had toast. I had a breakfast meal that was only available during certain times of the day. It had 2 eggs (I did fried over easy), hash browns, sausage, bacon and ham. Plus it had all you can eat pancakes although one serving of them would have been more than enough. Sure enough, I was too full to clean my plate. Everything was properly prepared, so no complaints. My husband really liked his bacon omelette---he liked it so much that he still talks about it. Hmmm...time to give the local IHOP another try. If we pass through Las Cruces again, we wouldn't hesitate to return to this IHOP.

Okay Road Trippers! I was hesitant on stopping here due to the low reviews but said screw it let's do it! My fam of 6 were tired and hungry and Wil took care of us. The service was one of the finest I have received...granted not many people were in there, but the food was good and came out quick! Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked- it was great! Give it a shot!

My annual review of pumpkin pancake season at IHOP. It's really the only time I go. These pancakes are my absolute favorite. Kinda like gingerbread. As k for extra syrup. Makes it gooey soggy perfection! This IHOP is pretty well run for an IHOP. Some are just chaos. It shares a parking lot with a sketchy hotel and that always weirds me out. But the servers are never a disappointment. Always friendly, the food comes out pretty fast, the place is kept clean - tables don't sit forever with dirty dishes. And the COVID protection and cleanliness is much appreciated. I saw several folks pull in for curbside pickup. And while that's certainly a safe option, I like my eggs hot when I eat them. Speaking of eggs...it's one of the few places that know how to properly baste and egg.

Food is as expected. Very Organized when it comes to keeping track of who arrives when to ensure guests are seated in order of arrival. Understaffed first the Sunday rush. O well the company made up for. 3/25/2020 Greatness in motion! The staff is really working hard to keep the public safe. Thank You

You can also order loaves of bread to go, and I absolutely recommend getting the Green Chile Cheddar loaf - amazing! Based on reviews, I ordered the breakfast enchiladas with brisket. That brisket was tender and flavored perfectly. I also stole a bite off my bestie's plate of steak fingers - mind blowingly delicious. In fact The Shed was so good, we went back for a repeat meal the next day. I ordered a slice of quiche and could barely make a dent in the quiche - look at the size of that! The quiche was also pure perfection. The Shed does excellent food, and so they are usually very busy. Despite the amount of patrons, the servers are excellent and quick to get you in and out, while having an incredible food experience. So good, I wonder if they would do delivery to Denver...

I got the option of getting half breakfast potatoes and half beans. I used some of the red chile over the beans and potatoes, and oh my! It was the best red chile I had the whole trip. The queso was a true queso with real cheese and green chile, not the stuff that comes out of a can with canned jalapeños. To top it all off, you get a choice of their home-baked bread. Green Chile Cheddar, please. We each took a loaf home with us and put it in the freezer to travel back with us on the road. My repeat visit was the same meal because it was that good. We sat outside on the patio the second time, and despite the heat, the fans and the covered patio made it very pleasant.

I decided to get the Sopaipilla Compuesta ($15), a pair of sopaipillas topped with red and green chile. My dining companion enjoyed the Veggie Omelette ($14), which was equally well-prepared, fresh, and portioned generously. Our kids ordered Açaí bowls while I just had a cappuccino. We made our way to the back courtyard, which was wide open and great for two young kids to run about without bothering anyone. The interior is inviting. While I didn't take pictures of the food, it was simply because we dug right in. The presentation of the food was exquisite and the kids barely looked up from their bowls; that's a good sign! We made sure to buy some coffee beans on the way out, which we are now enjoying at home.

I opted for a bowl of overnight oats that included some banana and strawberry. It was just OK. Also had my Americano with a bit of almond milk that kind of curdled in the cup. On the plus side, they did have self serve packets of Stevia, which is always appreciated. This is a walk up to the counter and order kind of place. The inside does have a pretty cool kind of living room vibe. The real fun is the outdoor seating patio that includes tiled, furniture, brick floor, and completely shaded so a nice spot on a hot day. Despite having my marked service dog with me, was told dogs cannot be inside. A member of the staff did bring my coffee and oats out to me, so much appreciated. An OK visit even though my expectations for a full breakfast were not available. If that's what you're looking for would not stop in here. Think their strength the pizza and wine thing.

The restaurant is not much to look at from the outside but don't let appearances fool you. The two dishes we tried (Eggs Rancheros and the New Mexican Omelette with the green chile) were outstanding. When she delivered our food, she never offered to refill my friend's iced tea or my coffee. For almost 5 minutes I tried to get her attention without success. I got up to the counter where she continued chatting with the guy eating at the counter. I mentioned that I wanted more coffee, I was told that they had ran out and if I wanted decaf.
