I go here every year for my birthday, the pancakes are so good. Just dont get the lemonade it isnt very good but other then that its a 10/10

Saturday night,last minute decision. Late enough,so it was quiet.& no wait.( that's key for me) We wanted breakfast for dinner. Daniel was our host & waiter.Daniel was Friendly & attentive. We decided our meals within 5 minutes & our food came 10-15 minutes or so later .I had the Power protein pancakes , which to most people probably sounds " not good" but trust me they are delicious! This is not the kind of meal I eat normally. it was a treat, so therefore I drowned it in butter & syrup.These pancakes have a nutty crunchy flavor and I will definitely get them again .... in my warped mind I ate healthy! lol. We went this morning at 7:30 am- first customers there. First time I've been there and the tables were dirty. We were sat at a table and the tabletop was broken- it was rocking back and forth- so we moved our table. The food and service was good with the exception of the OJ my husband ordered. Visited on a Sunday morning and the place was packed! They were able to accommodate our party of eight within a few minutes. Our server was patient and attentive, even proactively brought us a kids' menu and coloring sheet for our 6-year-old relative. All of us ordered combos, which come with 2-3 pancakes (you can add more, but trust me - it's a lot). I went with the breakfast sampler and original pancakes. The hashbrowns were spot on - crispy outside, tender inside, bacon was a bit too crispy for me, but the ham was thick and flavorful. And of course, the pancakes were the highlight: soft, fluffy, and the perfect way to end the meal. It's been years since my last IHOP visit, but this experience was welcoming, filling, and nostalgic. I had a wonderful experience when I had breakfast here. First of all Giovanni is a class A gentleman. He paid close attention to the food I ordered and made sure everything was hot and that I had everything I needed. I was impressed! Also Daisy was very pleasant . Although she wasn't my waiting on me, she came past my table more then a few times and asked me if I needed anything and we had a brief conversation that was cool. I had eggs, Turkey sausage, hashbrowns, toast, and a coffee and I was very pleased. I visited this IHop with my (8) year old nephew who is special needs. Our waiter Kenny was fantastic and so kind the entire visit. He should definitely get a raise. He was pleasant, quick with our order, and interactive with my nephew. The food was great too, but not as great as Kenny!! read more

IHOP should consider an upgrade to their architectural design. The restaurant has a tight compact seating arrangement with a cooking counter adjacent to the reception desk. The omelets are wonderful especially compared to the local diners. I would say that other than their famous pancakes, I would visit IHOP more often if I was planning an omelet breakfast. read more

What can be bad about an IHOP! Classic breakfast food and very consistent. You cannot go wrong with a stack of buttermilk pancakes any time of day and that is what I order every single time so this review is short and sweet! Came here for breakfast with my wife. First of all the menu is very confusing, especially with the specials and promotions. We ordered two breakfast combos, the usual 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage and hash browns. The food came within 5 minutes, wow how could it come that fast, then I tasted the food and I realized why. The food quality was terrible, the sausage and bacon must be premade and just put on the grill to heat up, boy were they dry and overcooked.The Scrambled eggs had no taste and the hash brown's were crisp on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The only good thing about this meal was the service and waitress were vey good. I must add that the prices were expensive, $14.99 for a basic combo. We will not be coming back we are better off going to a diner. Follow Up: PS I ended up going to a diner and we are not better off. We had two omelettes with sausage, the bill with tip surcharges, credit card fees etc. came out to $50. Now I am going to eat breakfast at home lol. read more

Good morning friends and rise and shine. Its a bright eyed bushy tail Saturday morning. Let's all get some pancakes for breakfast. The International House of Pancakes has been around since I've been a kid. The business model is pretty much consistent throughout their different locations. I love their Bavarian Style tall peaked ceilings and Blue Roof. This restaurant is located on Old Walt Whitman Road , as historic note. It's the birthplace of Walt Whitman just a block away. The pancakes are all consistently good. Their batter contains ingredients that are a a closely guarded Secret. I love the fact that they offer a discounted Senor menu and also serve lunch and dinner. Probably one of my favorite things about the IHOP, is the different type of syrups that are available for with your fluffy pancakes. I don't know why but I've never been to this location before. I was immediately seated 8 am. early this morning there was no wait yet. The atmosphere was quiet and the morning stun streamed through the east facing windows. There were a few different menus available with seasonal specials, and their everyday items. One of the things I also like about IHOP is the endless pot of coffee that you get. You can drink as much as you want they'll just keep refilling the hot pot with a smile. Coffee pot itself is insulated keeps it nice and hot for you. Service was very courteous and quick I got the sampler platter with bacon ham sausage pancake home fries and egg. I figured I'd try a little of everything. I noticed that the restaurant was filling up quickly with Saturday morning families an early shoppers. The BIG Huntington Walt Whitman Mall is right across the street. And I'm sure that keeps this place busy. I enjoyed my breakfast here very much it came to me hot and fresh and it was at a great price point. Felt like a kid again, I loved the family atmosphere of the Pancake House on Saturday morning. As a note it would be really nice if the ownership got those paper placemats so I don't have to eat on the bare table and the morning newspaper would be nice, as it is provided at most other IHOP's. This is our local ihop and go frequently with the kids. Standard food and I know what to expect when I go. I like that they have coupons in the local papers but wish they would participate in kids eat free more often. It would also be nice if drink was included with kids meal. Month of October is All-U-Can-Eat Pancakes.. It's not humanly possible to order more after you're meal- these are huge portions to begin with!! The veggie egg white omelette is always hot and damn good w a splash of Tabasco sauce and I can't complain about their hot coffee they leave for you on the table in the carafe this way you don't have to wait around to ask for a 2nd cup!! Got in just before the dinner crowd and the place was empty, except for staff which had me worried. Went in based on reviews and honestly, they changed my mind from a bad ihop experience at another location. Food was surprisingly great here, service was a bit off yet attentive nonetheless and fed a family of 5 for 45 bucks, which was surprising. No charge refills on drinks, specifically coffee and soda. Keep that in mind when ordering beverages. If you're doing children's menu btw, kids are free after 4pm every day; with Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday earlier after 2pm according to staff. Kids size plate of cheeseburger and fries were enormous. My biggest boy about to be 7yrs was only just able to finish it. I usually make my own country fried steak along with a light mushroom cream sauce, but this was a nice & fast alternative to a 4-step process at home and I never serve it with eggs, hash browns and great pancakes. ;-) Very nice find w/kids in a very big town. read more

My eggs were tasteless and cold, sausage were pink in the middle, I had to ask the waitress to ask the cook to cook them a little longer, bacon was so greasy it was disgusting, I posted a picture to prove it, honestly I don't understand why people go here, the place was crowded. IHOP isn't great food to begin with so with that in mind the overall experience was typical for what I expected from this kind of place. Usually wait is usually out the door on the weekends and holidays. During the week it's hit or miss. The atmosphere is loud and you feel like you have to yell over everyone. The waitstaff is always very kind but the hectic crowd doesn't allow for over the top attentive service. When someone at the table orders coffee they leave the pot but there is less than two cups in the pot. They only give half and half and I think they should ask what kind of milk guests prefer before assuming half and half. I think waters at the table should be a given no matter what and here they don't give water unless you ask which makes it difficult when the waitstaff is busy because it leaves you waiting a while for a drink. There are so many mouth watering items on this menu that are really unhealthy and hard to pass up on. The pancakes here are so delicious. For healthy options they have a veggie omelette that has Swiss cheese, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes. It comes with a side of fruit and unfortunately it was pretty inedible when I came in. The melon wasn't even close to ripe so it was pretty disappointing. The omelette however was pretty good, cheese on top instead of instead which I didn't like but it was definitely healthy. I think this place is better when you are hungover and want to pig out with your friends. Get a bunch of unhealthy items and then regret it an hour later. read more

There are so many ihop locations on long Island. Some I like; some I don't. This one was good. My husband and I had breakfast. I had the egg white omelet with spinach and it came with fresh fruit. The omelet was delicious, packed with lots of spinach leafs. The fresh fruit was fresh and tasty. My husband had 2 eggs over easy and they were perfectly cooked. He enjoyed the bacon. I work in the area so I've come here during my breakfast or lunch break a few times. I've only had to wait for a table once. This location is a little small compared to other IHOPs I've been to. Service has generally been a bit slow and I've had to wait a while for my food. During my most recent visit on Thursday, I tried one of their new burgers. All I gotta say is IHOP/IHOB should stick to breakfast foods. I'd give the Jalapeño Kick burger a 4/10. First of all, it's called jalapeño kick but there was no spice??? Second, they will only prepare it medium well or well done. Like seriously???? The burger was bland and came out a greasy and soggy mess with all the bacon and onions piled up on one side of the it. Also, cheese should ALWAYS come melted on a burger and this was not the case here. Good thing about ordering a burger is that it comes with unlimited fries and drinks! They need to completely remove, renovate, or dormer out the restroom side of the restaurant. We were seated there and it was horrible. People were requesting to be moved and if we weren't so hungry from the wait, we would have also. The other side of the restaurant is so airy and inviting. Full disclosure: I have not been to IHOP in years, generally because I always felt like the food was cooked in a rancid tasting oil. I was drawn in today by a special The Grinch menu since I was going to see the new movie. First of all, the place was physically revamped since I'd last been, and seemed much cleaner overall. Service was great, they were attentive and actually gave the kitchen my requests for soft scrambled eggs and extra crispy bacon. I really enjoyed everything I had. Got the Grinch pancakes, which were a regular pancake with green food coloring, topped with frosting, red heart sprinkles, and green whipped cream. The pancakes weren't too sweet, which made me really happy. I'm a savory over sweet kinda gal. I made it a combo with scrambled eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. Everything tasted freshly made, and surpassed my past experiences. I also had the Grinch Mint Hot Chocolate- green, minty, and yummy. I couldn't finish it because the cup was so big! All in all, yes, I like IHOP a lot more than I did. I'd still prefer a mom and pop shop for breakfast, but this hit the spot today. read more

We went at 2 pm on Sat, and waited 10 minutes for a table. Food was delicious and coffee was hot. I had a country breakfast omelette with cheddar cheese, hash browns, and cheddar cheese. It was cooked perfectly. Had a stack of pancakes on the side of course. My boys had chocolate chip pancakes, and cinnamon french toast. My mom had a bacon and cheddar omelette with pancakes. I find myself going to different IHOPS because the one by me on Old Country Rd in Hicksville closed. I'M still trying to find out why? anyway I visited this location and I have to say they were more organized than others. We were seated quickly and within minutes the waitress came over to take our drink order. Then within a few minutes came to take our food order. My egg whites were very runny on my over easy eggs and I oddly got French toast instead of regular toast with my meal. (French toast wasn't good) chocolate chip pancakes will satisfy you if you have a chocolate craving. Stick with their pancakes they are the best thing on the menu. Service was good. I met my friend here for lunch a few days ago. I've recently started a quasi diet so I was very impressed that they had a fit and slim menu. I ordered the crepes with Strawberry yogurt, fresh fruit and granola. It was a great combination, the crepes were soft and wonderful, they would have probably been better with jelly, nutella or syrup slathered all over them but that's for another day.
