While driving through Atlanta on the way to Louisiana on Christmas Eve, Sophia and I had breakfast at this IHOP which we've been to twice before in the past. We always had good meals prior and it was time to fill our bellies during the long trip. Let's see if this visit fufilled our needs. When we arrived, they were actually opening up. I thought this IHOP was 24 hours but a lot of them changed operations during the pandemic. Nonetheless, we were fortunate to come with perfect timing. The staff greeted us when we walked in and got seated immediately. After a few minutes, we were ready to order. I selected the Sirloin Steak Tips and Eggs breakfast meal which came with scrambled eggs and buttermilk pancakes. I ordered this meal many times before so it's nothing new and it came as I expected. Every thing was cooked well and tasted fine. One thing I liked was they gave us hot syrup. It definitely added a texture to the pancakes which I appreciated. I checked into the hotel next door. It was kate and we were hungry but we didn't want to go far. This was super convenient. We walked in the door and was net with a white table going across the entrance. There is a sign that says the dining room is closed after 10pm. Basically they only serve takeout after 10. I asked the host when did this happen. She stated it happened after Covid. Despite all of that we sat down in the lobby and ordered some food. Cheeseburger and Onion Rings. Amazing place. Planned to meet with friends here after I flew in and it was great. Not super busy and we were able to be seated right away. My friend and I ordered water while we waited for my other two friends to show up. The server was really cool and let us take our time waiting. Finally everyone got there and we ordered. I'm only able to eat gluten free pancakes, so i ordered that as a combo and had grits and scrambled eggs and burnt bacon that I requested. I ate almost everything, it was really good. My friend's had the original buttermilk pancakes, strawberry French toast, and the pancake of the month. The restroom was also the nicest restroom I've ever seen in an IHOP before. read more

I was in the mood for a milkshake while I had to wait for my dad's flight to come in at nearby Hartsfield Jackson and I thought it would be nice to go sit down inside an IHOP and enjoy a milkshake while I wait. I came inside at 10:10 pm and for the first time ever, across the many Dennys and IHOPS I've eaten in across the country, I was told the dining room was closed and I could only order to go. This IHOP even has a sign advertising how they're open 24 hours outside their front door but again, I was denied entry. It's no wonder IHOPS across the country are beginning to close if they can't even operate on what used to be a core principle for them. IHOP as in International House Of Pancakes LIVES up to its name the chocolate waffle that I ordered and the classic strawberry/banana pancake was AWESOME. I also got Grits a southern specialty. It was so good!!!! Out waitress was attentive and checked on us every 15 mins or so to see how we were enjoying our food. This was not my first time at IHOP I let her know. My first time was in Walpole MA on Rte 1 about 35 years ago. My 2nd one was in Hapeville GA last weekend. Also the IHOP was at walking distance from our hotel the Holiday Inn Express. The only issue my wife had with her omlette was she found hair in her omlette which she told our waitress, to which she appologised and told us she will show it to the manager. When we walked in one afternoon, we were greeted by Claudia and she was super kind. Guided us to where we needed to sit while striking up a good conversation and laugh! The atmosphere is what you would expect; clean, joyful, and chill. I was told the rush hits later in the night, but based on the other reviews I doubt they'd ever miss. Everything was perfect. I'm sure iHop corporate would be proud. Halfway though my meal I thought "I should take a picture of this," but didn't due to the simple fact that it was difficult to put my fork down. I walked in this IHop @ 715a. Cashier asked if I was picking up. No, I said, I'm placing. She asked the person that came in 10 secs behind me, are you picking up? They said yes. Surprisingly one of the better iHOP locations I've been to! Service was speedy and coffee was hot. Food was actually decent! I ordered some breakfast combo that came with bacon, sausage, eggs, ham, pancakes, and hash browns. Everything was made perfectly to order and came out quickly. I ended up sharing my pancakes with my MIL because I had too much food to eat! Normally I don't like visiting iHOPs because my stepson ALWAYS wants to go to a particular location that has greasy, cold food. This one was a nice change. I ended up at this IHOP because I was rerouted to Georgia on my flight from Florida to New York. I ended up having to stay over night to catch a flight in the morning and my hotel was luckily next to this 24-hour IHOP. I didn't get to my hotel until close to midnight so I was thankful for this food option. The IHOP was cleaner than other IHOPs I have been to. I was excited to try their new pancake flavors. I debated between the churro or tres leches pancake and ended up opting on the tres leches. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet and that I could choose to do the side of pancakes rather than the full entree. A side of pancakes consists of 2 pancakes. I also got a classic breakfast with over-medium eggs, hash browns, and sausage. You could have chosen bacon rather than sausage. They cooked my eggs over-easy rather than over-medium but I didn't mind because I like eggs cooked pretty much any style. I also tried their berry splash drink and thought it was good but on the sweet side. I asked for it to be reduced in sweetness so I am not sure how sweet the original drink was supposed to be. My waitress's name was Marcia and she was a darling. She made me feel welcomed and called me honey and other terms of endearment. Soooo we were in Atlanta airport trying to buy tickets for Spirit but they didn't open til 8am it was 6am. We said we fan kill time getting breakfast. She didnt have any real customer service skills and was very rude and impatient when we were asked where we wanted to sit. Her name was Emily. This was the worst IHOP experience I've ever had in my entire life of supporting the chain. I ordered through postmates from this specific location and when I received my order, the chicken was undercooked and extremely chewy, also the bananas were rotten on top of my pancakes. I tried to call the store to see if they could restore the situation and I dealt with the most rudest lady on the phone. She had no desire to show any empathy for my situation nor did she wanna help with credit or a replacement meal of any sort. She could care less and her attitude was piss poor. I have been here numerous times and have had numerous bad experiences. The typical experience is a long wait time to be seated even when there are no other patrons waiting. They folks working will argue about who's turn it is to seat guests and it will result in no one helping. And just a general type of attitude. Including the managers. But enter MARCIA! She is great. I asked her to remake the eggs as well because I had asked for turkey sausage originally, and I can't eat a plate of food that's been touched by pork. The food was not remade because she brought it back to me 60 seconds later, with everything re-plated. Before touching my plate I asked her if I could have an extra egg because mine didn't look like it had two in it. She said she'd have to charge me extra. Why? After my order had just been messed up? I have been working in this area for the last couple days and this is one of the few places to eat at. This is a pretty good IHOP. This IHOP has lunch specials throughout the weekdays that are quite good. I got the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity and it was delicious. The service was fast and pleasant. The food came quick and was good. This is a great Ihop. I came here after work for a chicken fajita omelete and strawberry-banana pancakes and it made my week.
