If I could, this would not even be a star. This place was absolutely horrendous. I have NEVER not been satisfied with a meal from any IHOP location prior to this. We got into the place, noticed there were a few couples waiting. I got to the hostess stand - no hostess for about five minutes. While we were waiting on her, I noticed the place is half empty and start to wonder why there is anyone waiting at all... She finally arrives and takes our name. Fifteen minutes later we are seated. No one comes to our table for about another ten minutes until a waitress finally shows up and asks if we have been helped. We do not even have drinks at this point - we told her so - so apologizes and says she will be right back with them. ANOTHER ten minutes later and we still have no drinks - we call her over and remind her of them. She says the same thing - she will be right back with them. Finally, we get them, but she brings only coffee when both of us also wanted a water. We ordered our meal. We start drinking the coffee & waiting on our waters. We each had one cup of coffee and a half a cup before the coffee pot ran out... IT WASN'T EVEN FULL! Getting that water took another 15 minutes. Group of four behind us (who arrived shortly after) started complaining about the service. One guy called out to the waitress to come over and said that he had been there 20 minutes and no one had even taken his drink order yet. We start to notice everyone in the surrounding area complaining that their food was incorrect, sending meals back, etc. We finally just said we are cancelling the order as we had somewhere to be and it had now been well over an hour and we only had coffee to show for it. I have never left an IHOP before - but this was insane. Every member of the waitstaff was an airhead. The hostess was ridiculous - not to mention never at her hostess stand. The management said nothing the entire time. All I could think of was how much money this place must be losing simply by comping orders that ended up poorly. Either way, this place needs torn down. If they cannot find better employees than that to run this place - then it needs to just not be operating. read more

We arrive at the restaurant at around 9am and hardly anyone was there. It seems like there were more servers then people. We waited over 9 minutes to get our drink order. We kept looking around wondering if anyone would ever actually help us, even though there were 10 servers and maybe 15 customers at max. Finally our drinks arrive and the waitress spills my orange juice all over my pants. She apologizes and promises to return to clean up the mess. She never came back with anything to clean me or the table covered with juice up. I had to use my only napkin to wipe the table down and my crotch was wet the rest of the meal. Finally we get our food after 35 minutes of waiting. My fruit is not brought out, even though it's included, and no jelly is brought out for my toast. I had to request for jelly and for fruit. No fruit ever came. Mind you the place is not busy. Finally after waiting what seemed like an eternity the waitress brings our check. We have to wait just as long to get the check back. Every single time I make the mistake to come here I am reminded why I haven't been back in months. Do not go here. Service is horrible. Food is always wrong. You have to wait for ever. I forgot to mention, the manager or someone, was yelling at the staff in the back when we left and it was so loud everyone in the restaurant was looking at the kitchen doors. Pleasantly surprised! I had been craving a burger and some good fries. Hubby wouldn't tell me where we were going and I admit IHOP wouldn't have even been on my radar to go to for a burger and fries. Wow! The burgers were excellent! The patty was cooked just right, came with big thick slices of tomato and onion, the lettuce was green and crisp, buns were delicious! And the fries! Yum! Came out hot and cooked to perfection. Will definitely go back next time we want a good burger & fries! read more

I went there twice and was completely ignored both times by waitresses that were standing 20 feet away. I posted my experience on ihops website and nothing no response at all. The second time it happened the manager was standing at the door and did nothing even after I told her about the crappy service, she just shrugged her shoulders as if she didn't care. I wish I could judge them on their food, but after waiting an hour and a half for our food we decided enough was enough. I've ate at this location before and it's always been this way...terrible. I'm writing this for my 74 year old Mother who went there this morning. She related to me that it was one of the worst experiences she has had at a restrant in some time. 1st the server took the order of a large family and then vanished. She wondered if she had to cook their meal. 2nd the place was full of several screaming kids and the parents didn't seem to mind the caterwalling. To top it off when she finally got her food after a very long wait it was cold. Not warm but cold. She complained about it and all they did was make her coffee free. We popped into a semi busy restaurant so I expected a wait. When we came in the hostess was memorizing everyone instead of writing it down. Well our family was missed, everyone around us was seated and then she came over like she had never seen us before and goes "just the four of you today". So after waiting 2 rounds to be seated, we sit down. Several people left complaint they had waited over an hour for food and never received any. The waitress apologized and said they had a big party who's order was holding up everyone else's but it was just about to come out. Well we waited half an hour before we ask for someone to come take our order. By this time most people had left or been served, maybe about 5 tables. We finally get a server to take our order but made us wait to do so until after another huge party order. It's been over an hour and a half now and when we asked how much longer we were told our food hadn't even started yet. DO NOT EAT HERE...today was a good day and tonight a great night, until...my two friends and I decided to leave Chattanooga and go to @ihop in Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga. My friends and I go into the restaurant and one friend says "can we get a table please, instead of a booth", the waitress turns and says "sure" in a snarky tone. We are seated and she asks for our drink order. I order a water w/lemon, a friend orders water w/lemon and the other orders a sprite (Sierra Mist). The waitress (Jerrika or Jessika) comes back with two waters no lemon and one Sierra Mist. She asked to take our order but we weren't ready so we asked for another minute. She turns to go back into the kitchen and one of my friends said, "can we get some lemon, water with lemon". She goes into kitchen and brings back lemon. During this time there are only two other patrons in the restaurant. She come back to us to take our order. 1. Pancake Combo no eggs. 2. T-bone, medium well, scrambled eggs and pancakes. Also since I'm paying for her eggs let me get the ones she didn't want. 3. Country fried steak, eggs over easy but well not runny. Waitress leaves and heads to chat with other patrons. The guys and I are having a good conversation and laughing about some things from earlier in the evening, just enjoying each other's company. Food comes out and the eggs are runny he slides them to unused portion of table and the other friend asked if he could have the chef cook his steak a bit longer. The waitress goes to kitchen then comes back and says "I've talked with my manager and we would like to ask you to leave". We are looking at one another like what, why. The waitress says, "you have disrespected me from the time you came in and I gave you your food the way you asked, now you are not about to have me running back and forth to the kitchen". So of course I remind her, that's the whole purpose of her being there. She then proceeds to inform us that she has called the police and we can leave or talk to them when they arrive. At this point, I'm getting pissed because we haven't done anything wrong, so I politely asked to speak to the manager. The waitress went into the kitchen and came back to tell us the manager didn't want to talk with us but we re more than welcome to talk with the cops when they arrive. I said, "we sure will". We are waiting on the cops and the waitress starts cursing and raising her voice when we asked her to explain why we were being kicked out of the restaurant. So I put her in her place real quick, "I'm not raising my voice or cursing you and I am asking you show me the same respect so it doesn't get ugly in here". 3 police officers arrive and she's telling them some story about how we were loud, disruptive, and throwing food. ‍ The cops talk to me and my friends, the manager who said "I never heard them get loud" and the other patrons who said "they weren't disruptive and no one threw any food". So nothing this bitch said was valid! The police told us that it's their right to refuse us service and if they wanted us to leave we had to leave. So we did indeed leave. Now I'm posting this because I want you all to be aware of the horrible service and blatant disrespect we encountered at IHOP tonight. Save your money. Worst trip to an establishment in a very very long time. Went in late at night with another party, our waitress barely paid any attention to us, we had to hunt her down ourselves to get a refill on drinks. Ordered an appetizer and asked for dipping sauces, we had almost had the app gone by the time she got to our table. Ordered our food and some of the food came back cold, not cooked, and made completely wrong. Never had the chance to get her to fix it. Our waitress literally brought our tickets to us not even 10 minutes after we had received our food. myself and the other party both gave her a card, she came back with a receipt for both of us to sign, we both signed our receipts and left. I had even left her a tip on our signed receipt. The other party got to looking at her bank statement and she had been charged for both tickets. She called to ask them to fix their mistake and the manager she spoke to refused to do so. Said it wasn't her fault. The service was terrible and food was cold. Never have I ever seen an establishment treat people this way. I will be notifying corporate about this matter. read more

My Fiancé and I try to come here at least once or more a week. The service is always good and we always get the Big Steak Omelette with Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes and it's always outstanding. I would give it 5 stars but I feel it's a little too over priced for certain items. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. My husband and I stopped by for breakfast. We ordered the Gravy Biscuits with sausage links and eggs. The biscuits were hard and tasted worse than a box biscuit. It was the nastiest tasting food I have ever tried to eat. We ate 2 bites and were ready to go. When we asked for the check our waitress was upset that we didn't care for the food and got the manager. We still ended up paying for 1/2 the check anyway. I had pretty much given up on this location after a couple of prior visits that were less than stellar, however with it being Christmas Day and options being limited I gave it another shot and this will be the last. I completely understand having to wait on Christmas when everything else is closed. I don't understand why when we are seated as soon as we walk through the door and the waitress lets you know it will be 30-45 minutes for your food due to how busy they are why it takes a little over an hour and half to get your food. Then they complete leave off my sons order so by the time we are done eating he is getting his food. Pancakes rubbery and not even hot enough to melt the butter. My daughters scrambled cheese eggs not even eatable but when it takes that long to get food in the first place you can't send it back cause you may never see it again. The topper is the table next to us who ordered after we did and got their food before we did got 20% off the total tab. We were offered the one meal being taken off the tab and a quick pay your bill or I'm gonna get your tag number and call the cops. Great service from a manager and way to treat people on Christmas. IHOP food is typically pretty good and service is hit and miss but I will never be back at this location again. read more

This is the first review I've every written! But, after the third problem with I-Hop in Ft Oglethorpe, Ga. I felt compelled to express my disappointment. Today was Red, White & Blue FREE Pancakes for Veterans. I placed my order (the server ask if I wanted 1/2 order or full - I told him 1/2) and my husband, being the Veteran told the server he wanted the VETERAN Red, White and Blue Pancakes. When the service brought the check, it was full price. Mine being a full stack and my husband told the server that his should have been free because of their offer to Veterans. Server looked around and said he didn't know about the Veteran offer. Husband showed him his military ID. Server came back when 10% military discount on his pancakes. Husband told him again the pancakes should have been free. In the end Server told us that THEY brought him a full stack and they couldn't reduce the bill. Ended up paying $25.00 for my 1/2 stack and Veteran (should have been FREE). pancakes. First of all management should have informed the servers of the Veteran Special and the cook should have know it should have been half order. We have gone to this restaurant since it first opened many years ago. We have noticed how it has gone downhill for the last couple of years. Always new management and new servers. I have ate at this restaurant several times without problems, although i can't find anyone to join my wife and I when we eat here. Yesterday i got a sampling of why. We ordered breakfast, and my wife ask for over well eggs. I ask our waiter to be sure they weren't burned. He acted edgy all of a sudden. When i gave a quizzical look he told me he had ptsd and he couldn't tell when he was yelled at. I told him asking him to make sure the eggs were prepared properly was not yelling. In a bit he brought our food and my wife's eggs were burned and I pointed that out. He very quickly and aggressively informed me that it was impossible to cook a well done egg without burning it. I told him i knew better, and my wife said don't worry its ok. He told her he could take them for a recook but they wouldn't be any different. I told him it was fine. He proceeded to tell me again that was sop for cooking well eggs there and again no way to not burn them. I told him again i knew better but my wife said it was ok so let it go. He continued repeatedly to tell me he was right. I told him to let it go he was pissing me off, then he told me to calm down. I told him he was the one needed to calm down and just go. Then he told me to shut up. That got to me, i told him he needed to shut up. Then he threatened me, told me he was the last person i needed to say that to. After a moment to compose myself i told him the same back, and told him to get the Mgr. He glared at me, then headed to the back and told someone they needed to go calm me down. A female voice, i assumed to be the mgr, replied she had heard. But she didn't bother to come out and deal with it. After that we were ignored by all the staff. After awhile a young girl brought our ticket, and before she could leave i ask her for the mgr. Without hesitation, as if she had already been instructed, she told me the mgr was to busy and wouldnt be out. After that the waiter walked all smug and smiling as if his behavior was accepted by that restaurant. Needless to say i understand why no one else would join me. It's obvious that management of this location does not have any customer care or concern. I won't be back. read more

Our waitress was great! However, the hostess was very curt- not friendly at all, the table was dirty when she sat us down. We had to clean our own table. The service was extremely slow. While there, we saw a waitress drop a fork and kick it across the floor. Several tables were left dirty for several minutes. Maybe the hostess was rushed because she had to bus tables as well. This is the 2nd time I've been here. 1st was horrible when they 1st opened so I decided to give them a 2nd try today. I was seated facing the kitchen. The manager is a nice lady, she came over to us twice catering to my grand baby. But apparently she can't keep good help or she has no backbone to straighten out the staff she has. The waitresses need to be trained or retrained. The kitchen... Everyone behind the grill needs to be fired. The main cook would take off his ball cap and scratch his head over food, slam plates up in the pick up window, food pops off the plates and he picks it up and tosses it back on the plate. The most bizarre thing I witnessed was he would use a napkin and wad it up and throw it up on the pick up window landing in plates of food. I saw that happen with my own eyes 2-3 times. He did the same with food tickets. When the order was filled he snatches the ticket, crumbles it and tosses up into plates of food or where ever it may land. Then I had the opportunity to watch them throw food at each other like kids having a food fight. All were young men and honestly looked like ex cons and juvenile delinquents. Contrary to other reviews, at 10 AM on a Monday, we received fast friendly service, good food quickly, and had no complaints.

HAIR IN THE FOOD! If I could give negative stars I would. Not only 2 out of 2 orders of food come out with HAIR in the food (two different types of hair, two different donors) the manager would not even come out to the table and apologize. When he was asked for AGAIN he showed up at check out and simply stated "yeah, I know about that and can give you 10% off your meal".
