It wasn't just the sauce. All my food was cold. Everything was tied closed and not cause by my dasher.

I wish there was a way to fix things like this... my dasher handed off the bag with no apparent distress, but this was packed wrong. Door dash won't go back and ihop blames door dash. Please get it right ihop.

Many years since I last visited this IHOP at the intersection of North Olden Avenue Extension and Parkway Avenue, Ewing, NJ. It looks about the same on the outside, but there has been a modest makeover within making the space appear brighter and renewed. The greeting by the staff was legit friendly, and the care provided throughout breakfast was very good. One of the servers actually came over to me to compliment me on my watch. That is a very rare occurrence. I ordered the brioche French toast from the griddle menu. At $6.99 is seemed reasonable. The carafe of coffee was another $2.49 for a bottomless mug. Still, getting out from a full breakfast for under $10, was appreciated. Yet, there must have been a little communication problem with I did not catch until my food was served. My very pleasant server came back to me after ordering to ask if I wanted blueberries or peaches with my breakfast. I hadn't originally asked for that. Nothing was said about an up charge, and I thought it was something everyone was offered with this meal. In fact, it wasn't. The extra canned peaches, caramel-like syrup and dollop of whipped cream was another buck fifty. No biggie, but I would have preferred to be told the complete deal. The food itself was good, but too sweet with the syrup they drowned the bread with. I have a lighter touch on breakfast syrup. I would return, but be sure to be prepared for the attempt to upcharge for extras I really did not need.

Look close on the photo on the floor there's a home knife on the floor that lady on the picture drop it and she dint pick it up!!

This place is nasty- bad customer service, they drop things on the floor that's so unprofessional. The lady on the picture dint pick the knife she dropped until I told her to do so. They just don't care in here! So unprofessional. The people who cook don't use glove and they don't put they mask on. That's even worst!!

Wait time was a bit long but that's because it was a busy day! The weather was fantastic so everyone wanted some good grub. But the waitress I had was very polite, patient, and fast. The food was made to perfection and the atmosphere was nice. I go to IHOP on occasion with friends or family but it's never the same one. So experiencing this one was nice :)

Stuck in the back of the shopping center with Marrazzo's and Sal DeForte's, right next door to a ramen noodle shop, these friendly folks are hospitable and enjoy conversing with their customers. After a few questions I ordered their "The Dragon," burger combo. They do smash burgers here, and the finished sandwich looked like a half pounder in an oversized bun, with plenty of heat from cherry peppers, jalapeños, onions, topped with spicy mayo and creole cole slaw with a hint of mango to offset the flames. It needed no ketchup nor additional contributions, and was delicious from bite one. All the parts played very well together. A little drippy to be sure, but easily managed. It came with a pile of crisp waffle fries that did require a squirt of ketchup, but were able second mates to the main beefy attraction. This was a very enjoyable meal, that would only be complemented by the house being better suited for eating in, right when everything is at its apex of perfection. Shitzz n Glizzies has the potential to compete with the big burger guys in the area. Will have to let you know about their franks and steaks at another time, but there is reason for optimism.

I asked for the lettuce, tomato and onion on the side. I also got cheese on the burger, which i believe was white American. It was so juicy, flavorful and the right temp, and didn't need any condiments. The Italian Kaiser bun has mixed reviews on Yelp, but I was a huge fan. It tasted great and sopped up the burger juices. Rossi's is an area institution. In Trenton from 1933-2014 and then in Mercerville for the past 11 years. It has tons of old photos on th wall of the OG Rossi's and the people that ate there, like Joe DiMaggio. It was huge space with a bar, tables and booths. With the girth of the burger and at the price (May 2025, $16.68 with tax), it should have been presented with fries or a side salad, not just a la carte. Nevertheless, I'm a big fan!

Years ago I took him to the original Rossi's in Chambersburg after they won WIP radio host Glen Macnow's best burger contest. The place felt smoky and cramped and alive, a beating heart of the local community. So he came back to town and said, Take me to Rossi's. I want that burger again. The new Rossi's is bigger and brighter and very aware of its own legend. The website still shouts proudly about the award winning burger, the kind of pride that lingers long after the parade has packed up and the confetti has been swept into the gutter. The official burger of Polk High. We ordered the famous burger. It arrived on a soft roll, thick and respectable, cooked properly enough. The beef had that loose packed texture that once made it special, a little craggy, a little juicy. It was, in a word, fine. It didn't part the heavens, and it didn't cause my friend to close his eyes and whisper my name in gratitude. It was just a hamburger. The fries were plentiful and hot. There is still a sports bar soul here, sort of. Televisions glow and beer flows, albeit very VERY slowly. The menu stretches wide with wings, sandwiches, steaks, things for people who want something other than beef on a bun. It feels like a place that knows how to feed a crowd after a Little League game or a retirement home on an afternoon outing. The service was friendly in the way a distracted and rarely seen cousin is friendly at Thanksgiving. Smiles, sure. Refills, eventually. Our server moved with the gentle chaos of someone juggling too many plates and not enough time or help. Nothing disastrous happened. Nothing especially polished happened either. We waited, ee watched and we ate. When my friend took a bite,he nodded politely. He said, "It's good." This is not what he said all those years ago in Chambersburg when grease ran down his wrist and he declared it the best burger in the state with the certainty of Biff Tannen with a Sports Almanac in his back pocket. Restaurants age and legends settle into routine. Rossi's feels like it is living comfortably on stories of past glory. There is nothing wrong with the food, but there is nothing thrilling about it either. If you are nearby and hungry, you'll be fed and you'll leave full. If you're chasing a memory, you may just find that memory tastes better than the present.
