Complete garbage! Didn't make it out the door and already in the toilet. The tables had ants crawling on them. The food was slow and the coffee was old. $30 for 2 people to be sick. IHOP is a restaurant known for its pancakes and flavorful, scrumptious breakfast delights. I've eaten at this chain for many years, at locations in the North, east, west and southern regions of the country. Some chains hit the ball out of the park, creating meals that looked exactly like the photos in the menu, and the taste made you want to sit up and shout. Well, if you're seeking the aforementioned experience, the Covington IHOP should not be one of your stops. At best this location scores 3 out of 5 on its best day. On this visit, the servers were friendly but not professionally trained. Our waiter did not freshen up our water and she never asked if we wanted more coffee, napkins or other things that might complete our meal. Basically, after receiving our food, we were ignored. Oh yes...the flies. I know this pest with wings is hard to battle but each time I've visited this location not less than three flies lay claim to our table. I digress... Now a little about the food. At best, the food was average, but nothing worth singing or shouting about. In fact, at some moments during my meal I questioned if maybe my cooking would be the same, or quite honestly, better. I then began to wonder if maybe we should have eaten someplace else. More to the point... Perhaps we should have spent our Saturday morning at home, with me preparing a scrumptious, put a smile on your face, stack of cinnamon pancakes, western omelette, bacon and sunny-side up eggs. If I'd prepared our food the meal would have been hot instead of barely warm. Suffice to say, since there are so few chain restaurants in Covington, management has no true motivation to make changes or try to improve the food and dining experience. Don't take more the 4 to eat here. We have 4 kids and they had 2 customers in the entire restaurant and he told us "I am the only server and I can't serve more then 4 people at a table" so we went to Breakfast cove. read more

Even giving one start it too much... this restaurant is so nasty and so rude... also they can't get an order right I didn't get utensils (I guess they expected me to eat pancakes with my hands) i also didn't get syrup or butter... so I had to eat dry pancakes because I'm staying in a hotel room visiting family... don't go there it's a waste of money read more

IHOP in Covington is, to be honest, trash. The food is okay, but I have had a few meals that were cold. Thankfully, I don't live in Covington anymore, so I don't really have to deal with this place anymore. First of all, when you walk in, I can guarantee you it will take you forever to be seated. The place could be completely empty and you'll be standing there awkwardly for at least 4-5 minutes. This isn't just a one time occurrence, this happens every time. THEN there's the manager. Holy crap. He finally sat us, but wasn't very aware of personal space. He stayed around our table for like 3 minutes while we were trying to get settled at our table and he was just touching everything on the table trying to straighten it, or put the utensils directly in front of each one of us. It was just incredibly uncomfortable and awkward. I appreciate the kindness, I really do, but I really don't like to have people so close I can feel their breathing while I'm trying to get settled into my seat with my family. read more

Got dirty looks from multiple employees, but I didn't take it personally once I saw they looked at every customer that walked in the door that way. The worst restaurant in the franchises of ihop and the worst customer service ever, including the manager. The waitresses look like they do not want to be at work and they are not well groomed. Cleanliness of employees, presentation of food, and exceeding customer service is key to a successful restaurant. The Covington location has not proved their sustainability of a new business for the community. When asking questions about food and pricing, the unkempt waitresses and manager simply ignored us. They charge gratuity twice regardless of the size of the party and tax it as well. This is my review and my experience. If you do not like what is being post, do better. Not very impressed been there several times and we used to prefer it over the millington location but now it sucks.. ordered eggs over medium and they were broken and sloppy looking, had toast instead of pancakes and it wasn't even toasted... when I brought it up to the server she looked at me likes I was causing her grief so I just said it's fine I'll just eat it and she just walked off... horrible service we won't be back!!!! read more

This is possibly the worst restaurant in Covington. My son and I went for breakfast this morning, upon entering we waited several minutes before we saw any employees. The waitress was pleasant and asked us take a seat anywhere. There were 3 other tables of patrons scattered throughout the restaurant and she was working hard to keep everyone happy. Our order was taken without delay but that was the last thing i can complement. Food from the kitchen came out in a reasonable time however the eggs were swimming in grease on my plate and the pancakes were cold, so cold the butter never melted at all. While we waited we observed 10 people come in the door wait to be seated then give up and leave. Then to our surprise, there was a manager on duty nicely dressed but hiding in the back doing NOTHING!! They leave the front register uncovered and have all patrons wait to be seated because the manager is either Lazy or inexperienced to come out and help. DON'T waist your time and money. The food is below average and the management is incompetent. The only bright spot was the overwhelmed waitress. read more
