I was pretty disappointed with my 55+ Breakfast Sampler this morning. The hashbrowns were practically raw and the bacon was undercooked and tasted weird. The small slice of ham and sausage link was fairly tasty. The pancake and fried egg were just so-so. The formerly large pot of coffee they used to sell has now shrunk to half that size or smaller and said "Tea" on the outside instead of "Coffee". The carafe did not keep the coffee hot: all for the low, low price of $3.79. The service was OK but this will probably be my last visit to I-Hop. read more

I went here with a friend over the weekend. I waited over an hour to receive half stack of Lemon Ricotta pancakes. See picture below to see how it was delivered to me. Very poor presentation I know this IHOP but they definitely room for improvement. My friend got her chicken and full stack of pancakes before I did. I waited 30 minutes after she got her food to receive mine. She had already finished her plate before I got mine. When the waitress finally brought me my food she set it down and walked away super fast. She never check on us and asked if we needed anything or how the food was. On top of waiting for ever some how my half stack of pancakes cost more than my friends chicken and full stack of pancakes. Overall the price, the service, the wait time all deserves 0 stars. It is an IHOP. The service here was SPECTACULAR. The food was eventually very good. We had some issues with all the ingredients not being in a bowl we ordered. The waitress kept after the cook (several times) and got the bowl where it needed to be eventually. The food was good. Environment was quiet. Food was good. Busy Mothers' Day crowd so service was "measured." Hunter was pleasant, attentive and responsive. Best of all, Susanne's breakfast was nearly perfect! Eggs over easy and hot from the kitchen earns a big hooray. Minus one star for a few things. One, the host seems like a surly guy and not terribly welcoming. He seated a couple that came in just after I put Sue's name on the waiting list. I suspect he pushed us down one because I went outside to check with my wife to see if a 20 minute wait would be OK. My family and I were visiting in-laws that have recently retired and moved to the area, and they were excited to be able to treat us. [FOOD ITEMS] * Swedish crepes - The crepes were burned; my daughter cut off the charred edges and tolerated the rest. * New Mexico Burrito - Wrong burrito was delivered, with egg inside. - The side of fruit that was ordered was not delivered at all. - The avocado in the burrito was so un-ripened and rock hard that it could not be mashed with significant force, let alone eaten. * Buttermilk Chicken - This was the last item to be delivered, after the rest of the table had completely finished. We were told the chicken takes significantly longer. - The dish arrived as the wrong menu item, came in the form of a single fried patty like would be microwaved at home, and was not even eaten by the individual that ordered it. - A second patty was delivered later as a separate item. * Roasted Turkey - The turkey portions were ridiculous and did not even come close to as-advertised (see pictures). - The couple of turkey chunks that were included were buried inside a ball of stuffing so overpowered by sage as to be inedible. [SERVICE] * Lack of concern - Not a single time were we asked by staff how our food was. * Timeliness - Food took upwards of 45 minutes to serve, despite low dining room occupancy. * Large gaps in delivery - The food came in 3 waves, each wave nearly finishing their meals before the next wave arrived. [PROBLEM RESOLUTION] * Unprofessional - Upon calling the number posted on the door of the restaurant, we discovered the number was NOT related to IHOP Customer Service. Another family walked in maybe 5 minutes later. A walks up and asks "who was here first", my family says we have. She asked how many in your party we said 6 with a baby (high chair). A responds and says well y'all can't sit together, imma sit them first because we can't sit you. OKAY THAT WAS RUDE! Gary comes over and explains to her this family was here first you need to sit them and than we will seat the next family. A sits my family and then goes back to sit the next family. Here is the kicker. A starts taking the order of the other family. WHAT THE??? She didn't even acknowledge us...no "I'll be right with y'all let me grab their drinks and I'll be right over"... nothing. She skipped my family and went right to the next. Terrible customer service. If you can't handle customers you shouldn't be in the field. It's sad that my son chose to enjoy his birthday at ihop and they ruined his entire night. This isn't the first time coming to this location and getting crappy service but this will definitely be the last. I can guarantee that we will never come back and I promise I will repeat this story and tell as many people that I come in contact with not to spend their hard earned money here. Very unusual experience. We stopped in on return trip from Ruidoso. They had obviously been slammed because the booths and tables were a mess. We ordered breakfast in the afternoon. Our scrambled eggs were cold. The hash browns were ordered extra crispy and they were cold and raw. I told the waitress but we didn't want to send it back we just did not eat it. Our choice. The mgr person asked why we didn't eat and we told him. Now the bill. Upon presenting the bill we were told the credit card machine is not working. Ok we had no cash. No one in the restaurant could tell us where an atm machine may be. We are now beyond livid. So we leave and Find an atm machine and pay 3.50 for that. The mgr offered to refund us for that. . The first time I took my son and my two grandchildren. We ordered for us and I ordered a sandwich to go to take to my husband. Our food took a good 40 minutes to come. As we were getting ready to leave my son asked about when the to go order would be ready. Apparently, it had never been placed and when our server asked the cook when it would be ready, our server stated the cook told her it would be ready when it was ready. I am a fan of I hop but not this one I ordered steak tips which werent even cooked they were so rare both me and my husband returned our food only to be given over cooked steak :/ my husbands scrambled eggs were under cooked and I wasn't even given a refill on my coffee But with that said when we complained about our food the waitress couldnt be more accommodating and apologetic she took my meal price off the bill and discounted a couple of dollars off my husbands bill for the eggs....we wouldn't return to this ihop but this experience wouldn't stop us from going to other ihops in different locations read more

Our server was Mr. Hunter M. This young man asked what we wanted to drink we asked for lemon water and a unsweetened iced tea. This was correct however we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks then it came time to order. I ordered the Tilapia with mashed potatoes and broccoli and a side salad. My husband ordered a Colorado Omelette, they put shredded beef instead of bacon in it. We waited 50 minutes for our meal ! In past this never happened. We will not be returning to this location. this photo is the recipe that was given to my husband when he went back in for our original recipe. Our recipe should have read that we paid cash in the full amount of $26.02. My husband gave this waiter a $50.00 bill and he gave us our change then my husband gave him a 20% tip in the amount of $6. And my husband did not receive a military discount at all!!!. I know for a fact that y'all have our original recipe so y'all can't say you do not have it!!! Worst service I have ever seen at an IHOP. Meal took 45 minutes and we had to hunt it down. Then after telling us and having a huge sign saying kids eat free they tried telling copping out saying that the computer only allows a 1:1 ratio of kids. Since we had 3 adults and 3 kids that should have been fine but I had to go in circles with them. I don't mid paying my way. But if you say something is this way you don't change it later. I'm bumping to two stars because the waitress was apologetic for not being on the ball an the manager though he did argue about the kids things comped the meal without my asking because our experianve was so poor.
