I went here with a friend over the weekend. I waited over an hour to receive half stack of Lemon Ricotta pancakes. See picture below to see how it was delivered to me. Very poor presentation I know this IHOP but they definitely room for improvement. My friend got her chicken and full stack of pancakes before I did. I waited 30 minutes after she got her food to receive mine. She had already finished her plate before I got mine. It is an IHOP. The service here was SPECTACULAR. The food was eventually very good. We had some issues with all the ingredients not being in a bowl we ordered. My family and I were visiting in-laws that have recently retired and moved to the area, and they were excited to be able to treat us. A responds and says well y'all can't sit together, imma sit them first because we can't sit you. OKAY THAT WAS RUDE! Gary comes over and explains to her this family was here first you need to sit them and than we will seat the next family. A sits my family and then goes back to sit the next family. Here is the kicker. A starts taking the order of the other family. WHAT THE??? She didn't even acknowledge us...no "I'll be right with y'all let me grab their drinks and I'll be right over"... nothing. She skipped my family and went right to the next. Terrible customer service. If you can't handle customers you shouldn't be in the field. It's sad that my son chose to enjoy his birthday at ihop and they ruined his entire night. This isn't the first time coming to this location and getting crappy service but this will definitely be the last. I can guarantee that we will never come back and I promise I will repeat this story and tell as many people that I come in contact with not to spend their hard earned money here. Very unusual experience. We stopped in on return trip from Ruidoso. They had obviously been slammed because the booths and tables were a mess. We ordered breakfast in the afternoon. Our scrambled eggs were cold. The hash browns were ordered extra crispy and they were cold and raw. I told the waitress but we didn't want to send it back we just did not eat it. Our choice. The mgr person asked why we didn't eat and we told him. Now the bill. Upon presenting the bill we were told the credit card machine is not working. Ok we had no cash. No one in the restaurant could tell us where an atm machine may be. We are now beyond livid. So we leave and Find an atm machine and pay 3.50 for that. The mgr offered to refund us for that. . This was correct however we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks then it came time to order. I ordered the Tilapia with mashed potatoes and broccoli and a side salad. Our recipe should have read that we paid cash in the full amount of $26.02. My husband gave this waiter a $50.00 bill and he gave us our change then my husband gave him a 20% tip in the amount of $6. Worst service I have ever seen at an IHOP. Meal took 45 minutes and we had to hunt it down. Then after telling us and having a huge sign saying kids eat free they tried telling copping out saying that the computer only allows a 1:1 ratio of kids. Since we had 3 adults and 3 kids that should have been fine but I had to go in circles with them. I don't mid paying my way. But if you say something is this way you don't change it later. I'm bumping to two stars because the waitress was apologetic for not being on the ball an the manager though he did argue about the kids things comped the meal without my asking because our experianve was so poor.
