Had an old rental property that had been sitting vacant for a couple years with a bunch of the last tenants crap strewn about the place, from mattresses and clothes to the ancient refrigerator inside, to a dilapidated carport cover and rotten timber scattered out in the backyard. I needed to get all that junk cleaned up and hauled off so the property could get listed now that the real estate market is back on the upswing, but I am a busy person and quite frankly wasn't looking forward to dealing with all the old crap on the property. Enter Matt at iHaul. One phone call and we set a time to meet and bid the job. Matt shows later that day and we walk the job site as he assures me that all I need done is what he does from a couple tree branches trimmed off the fence, loading out the brush piles, breaking down and hauling off the carport cover, gutting the inside of the house with all it's junk and sweeping out the inside to finish the job proper. Trust me, it was nasty, but Matt did not flinch and reassures me that he's seen worse. Matt's quote was right where I expected to be considering all that needed to be done, so that really reassured me that he had a realistic perspective of what was needed and the confidence to dive in and get the job done. We set a date for a day and a half later when he would show with two trailers. Yes, two trailers as there was both refuse and tree/brush to haul off and Matt dumps responsibly so he kept it separate. The whole time Matt stayed in contact with me by text and our coordination of events went off without a hitch. I haven't had such spot on communications since my days in the Army when precision movements were a matter of course in life and death situations. Matt understands the importance of building trust and developing confidence in his business relationships. Ok, the day of the "big haul off" and we meet right on time at the property. I live all the way across town and have other business down in South Austin, so I open the gate and house, then Matt says he will text me about an hour before he thinks the job is done so we can regroup on site, assess progress/accomplishment and finalize our business transaction with final payment. Well, Matt and crew started the job about 2:30 p.m. and, long story short, 7 hours later we are standing back on property with everything GONE! Inside and out are debris free. The place is still run down, but it is no longer a trash pile due to inconsiderate tenants. All I can say is thanks Matt for showing up when you said you would show up, keeping me updated with your strategy for success and delivering on what was promised.
