What I am surprised about, is how much time has gone by: 20 years her studio has been up and running, and they are still going strong! (Omg, I feel old). I knew in my heart and gut, if anyone in our company was going to grow up to own and operate her own successful dance studio, that person would be Gina Nix. I can't believe my four-year-old learned so much within a month's time! Truthfully, because of Gina, I'm not surprised at all. "Miss Gina" is not a shrewd disciplinarian, though she definitely knows how to command her space with movement (that thing she teaches) with great skill, patience, talent, and in her own meticulous fashion. Her students learn what their parents pay them to learn- HOW TO DANCE CORRECTLY. And from what I've seen, they manage to have a great time to boot. My little girl (now in kindergarten and back in CA ) will still, at random, practice shuffle-hop step's, arabesques and pique turns in public, at home, at the grocery store etc., and loudly verbalize the dance terminology as she goes. What a blessing she was in such good hands at All That Jazz! It will always be my hope that the students and staff at All That Jazz maintain to receive the kudos they deserve; both in their hometown, and in all the cities in which they successfully go to compete several times every year. I will always be rooting for them and my heart, and yelling, "Break a Leg!" And for the studio's namesake, "Its Showtime, Folks!"

I'll never be a ballerina, a Fosse impersonator, or move like Bojangles, but I will keep improving my flexibility, balance, and conditioning and enjoy it immensely. Both of my daughters are in company in tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and musical theater, they have both done amazing in solo performances in overalls not just groups. They both are also en pointe in the advanced classes through the ballet conservatory. My youngest had the lead last ballet performance. Finding a place that mastered tap, jazz and ballet was tough to find but we did. My eldest daughter now works there as an assistant/teacher and loves it! Lisa along with her daughter Rachel care deeply about our kids and it shows. Love the studio.

There is no communication with the parents regarding recitals, room parties, when there is class and when it's cancelled, and there was minimal one on one etc. I was very disappointed with the organization of the school. The recital routines were planned out as they went and there really was no planning ahead for scheduling things. There were many other Mom's with the same concerns. When I voiced my opinion about the lack of organization and told her why I took my daughter out of her school, the owner seemed to not really care at all, which surprised me. Also, the studio is not well kept and it's very dirty. There seems to be no "love" for the business she owns. I would not recommend it.

The owner and her adult daughters frequently bicker in the lobby. The owner and others gossip about other parents. My most recent time, my daughter had to use the restroom. When I took her back there, there was no toilet paper, soap, or paper towels. A male teenager up front said that they are going through it too fast so they won't be providing it and the owner gave me a toilet paper roll to bring back there but then said I had to bring it back. I then had to take my kid out to the car to use hand sanitizer. LOL. It's so sad, it's comical. I would use caution when deciding on this place.

When comes dance recital and competition season due to both my girls being on the company teams I praise Ms. Karen's decision to keep the girls costumes modest for their age groups.
