This location is an IGA. Like all IGA's this location's prices are higher than other big box grocery stores. The trade off is fresher fruits and vegetables as well as prepared meats. Staff is nice and helpful. read more

This IGA - aside from being amazing in all the ways I described in my original review - seems to be setting the standard for how to properly operate under the current conditions so I wanted to share in the hopes of other grocery stores following their lead. When you arrive here, all the doors are closed except for one and when you enter that one there's a portable handwashing station like you'd see outside portopotties at a festival. So everyone is washing their hands as they enter. Then they are given a cart which has just been wiped down by the staff. Staff are also circulating wiping down the handles of fridge doors etc. Cashiers are using sanitizer between every customer and as you leave your cart is immediately wiped down again. This loving attention will save lives in our community and I really really appreciate it.

It's huge really well-made and really well thought out in terms of layout. It's big it's bright as very welcoming. Every section is defined by a logo whether it's pastry section, boucherie, grill etc. The items are fairy priced not over expensive like a whole foods/metro/iga/April. And not super cheap like maxi. It's thé in between. The workers are very welcoming and very informative if ever you have any questions. pastry section is huge everything is made in house, I purchased an eclair, millefeuille and a Portuguese tart. All three were delicious it wasn't overly sweet good size for the price 2.79$ each. I also purchased some steaks two that were not marinated and 1 that was marinated in house. The wives were delicious tender and for a price under 5$ each. If you're an alcohol lover they have an abundance of craft beer, wines and seltzers etc. Definitely a place I will be shopping at more often!

Huge selection for vegetarians, with lots of exotic vegetables. The meat selection is crazy, with aged steaks in their own fridge. Kangaroo burgers, horse meat, duck... gluten free section as well! Prices were reasonable with lots on sale. Most importantly it was clean and no loud obnoxious Quebecois music playing on the speakers, just simple instrumental jazz which kept me in the store longer and not rushing to get out. Give it a try, I think I found my new grocery store.

The location took a bit of getting used to since it's in more of a residential neighborhood and I'm staying in the city center, but it got easier to find after the first visit. Accessibility was a little tricky at first, the fully accessible entrance with automatic doors closes about two hours earlier than the rest of the store. When I arrived the first time, the staff were incredibly kind and helped lift me and my wheelchair over the small step at the front, which I really appreciated. Once inside, the aisles are spacious, well-marked, and easy to navigate with a wheelchair. Anything that was out of reach wasn't an issue at all because the staff were very friendly and happy to help. We made it work with their English and my French, which made the experience more enjoyable. My return visit the next morning was much smoother since it was daylight and I already had a sense of layout. The staff were even friendlier the second time around. The hot food was really good--maybe not as much variety as I'm used to, but still very satisfying. The chicken wings were fresh, hot and well prepared, the potato wedges were well seasoned, large and hot! Checkout was quick and easy, with registers at both the front and back of the store. They also accept all forms of payment, which made things convenient. Overall, a really positive experience, especially because of how helpful and welcoming the staff were.
