i was sold a garbage screen protector that supposedly was drop proof and the guy demonstrated by smashing the screen with a hammer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. I called ifixnc to see if they could replace the screen, since their screen protector was a lie and the lady said I would have to pay them to redo the screen. Went in to see what kinda iPhones they had because mine was hell bent on stabbing me because of the cracked screen. They had reasonable prices and I got the phone with the storage that I needed. It came with a 90 day store warranty, and that is just awesome. And who I believe is the owners daughter was the one to ring me up. Everyone was very kinda and you could definitely tell that this was a "mom and pop" place. The only bad thing I gotta say is that I just wish the little lady would have taken help from her dad with the screen protector because it is starting to come up on a corner. Be very, very clear as to what you want IFix to do, and make sure they fully understand your request, before you let them work on your device. After a Microsoft Windows update one of our workstations would not boot. When starting the machine simply went to a blue screen saying the Windows operating system was corrupted. Our Windows 10 repair drive could not resolve the problem, so we asked IFix if they could repair the Windows 10 OS to get the workstation to boot. A couple of days later IFix called us and said that they could not repair the Windows OS, and that their solution was to install a new 512 GB SSD with a new copy of windows. I specifically asked how the new copy of Windows would be able to access the more than 200 applications that were on the current SSD. Apparently, there was some confusion during our conversation as I believed I was told that there would be no problem because the applications could still be accessed on the old drive. When I picked up the workstation, I was told that we would have to reload all of the applications, but that the files were still on the old drive. It was not the files that concerned us as they are backed up in several locations. But the workstation is about six years old and we cannot find the license keys for several expensive software applications. Had I properly understood that the IFix solution was to merely sell me a new SSD with a copy of windows on it I would have not authorized the repair, as that is something we could have easily accomplished on our own. read more

My second trip to this repair shop. First time I had a fried hard drive I was trying to recover data from. They weren't able to get anything useful, I took that to be because the hard drive was damaged. This trip needed a laptop lid repaired. Got a call saying they had replaced the hinge, but the battery was toast and I needed a new battery, Also, said there's a problem with the motherboard. I said stop don't do anything else. Picked up the laptop and the Battery and motherboard seem to be fine. But they forgot to hook up the sound card, so no audio. Took it back . They seem to laugh at their mistake. So I tried to fix my iPhone screen and botched it, me and my dad went into the store and Lucas started right away, he even allowed us to watch and gave pointers. Awesome price, I did bring in the screen but I broke a cable that he had to replace. The camera glass on the back of my phone had cracked, took it to IfixNC and they put a new glass on it for me....walked literally across the street to the Gas station bought a drink walked out of the station and boom no glass on my camera. THEN I walk in 5 minutes later and they say their boss doesn't do refunds.... what? So he come back saying he has to order the part and he'll give me a free tempered glass for my phone,( I just bought an 80 otter box so that doesn't help.) I'm only mad because what I paid for was crap. Now I have to wait for this glass and hopefully it's put on correctly. Maybe with some type of adhesive?? Idk. 1 star because I have to leave one. We dropped off a tv to be repaired and he said it would take 2-3 weeks. 7 weeks later they still gave us the run around about why the part was not in, why the tv was not in their shop, how their employee stole parts, or why they have not worked on it. I finally said I do not care if you put it back together or not I'm coming to get it to take it elsewhere. He said it would take 1-2 days. Three days later we show up and he says he still hasn't put it back together. Do NOT use them. They have horrible customer service. We dropped our PS4 off on October 12th to get the HDMI port replaced. They said it would take about 7 days. My husband called about every other day after that, and it was always a different story. "It's in Greenville with the technician." "We're still waiting on the part." "We can't fix it." And on Friday, the 28th, my husband called and they said, "It is fixed and will be on the truck back from Greenville. You can stop by around 7 when the truck gets here." I go there around 7:30 to pick it up to get another excuse of "oh, the owner is just now loading the truck up, so it will be here around 9pm." My husband went to pick it up the morning of 29th. He gets there to be told that they were NOT able to fix it. It was in perfect condition and now has scratches and is dirty all over it. It won't even connect a controller to be turned on. Horrible, horrible customer service. They can't keep a straight story. Now the PS4 is completely useless and was a special edition. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I should have read the reviews before I took my parts in for repair. This is by far the worst service I've ever experienced. I needed some circuit board items de-soldered and re-soldered. Apparently there only one person (the owner Beau) who's capable? of doing this work. They have 3 stores and only one person can do the work? What kinds business is this? And he's not a nice guy to deal with. Anyway, I was told the parts would be ready on a Monday, this is two weeks after I took them in. Monday came and went no call, no parts. I called to speak to the owner Beau on Friday after not getting any phone calls. Parts were still not ready. Owner states that Monday was only an estimate?? Now this is 3:00 in the afternoon on Friday, they close at 6:00. He said they would be ready today. I get a call at 5:57 stating the parts are ready. I picked them up the next day and they don't work, some of the $500 circuit boards are damaged beyond repair. I call the store in NB and they tell me the tech that did the work (owner Beau) has left to go to the J'ville store and to call there. I called the J'ville store and they state the the owner Beau is not there but would be there soon and would give him a message to call me. I received no phone call so I called back and they said he was there and would get him on the line. Now they come back and say he was there but was on an errand and would be back shortly. Still not getting a return call I called them back. The tech now states that the owner's day off? He had previously told me he was there? Is someone trying to avoid me or what, and this is the owner of the company? Beau... WTF? When I confront him with the fact that he told me he was just there, he now tells me that the owner has left and is gone for the day? Again WTF? I took the parts back in the next day and spoke to CSR Amy at the New Bern location. She states that its not there problem and no warranty is implied(contrary to there website.) She states the parts were bad when I brought them in and the owner who performed the work was not at fault, when you can clearly see it was a rush job removing the items from the circuit boards (which damaged them) and you could visibly see the shoddy workmanship. Please dont take anything to IFIXNC unless you want a lot of heartache and stress. read more

How do you rate zero stars? Possibly the worst customer service I've ever had. Dropped off a set of wireless headphones for the sound cutting out on one side on 30 Sep 17 and the problem has not been fixed to date (2 Jan 18). Management never provided any updates on status. Visited the store on 4 separate occasions to retrieve the headphones and was told the headphones were in pieces each time. On one occasion, wife is told heaphones are repaired, but it turned out that was not to be. Finally picked up my broken headphones today out of frustration. Owner's response was he's been busy. This was the worst service I have ever received anywhere. I should have walked out the door when I was told it was not a priority to have my laptop fixed. (Shouldn't every guest be a priority?) I was never contacted by them as stated within the FIRST 10 days. I called them and was told a lower level tech installed a port that didn't work and the sr tech installed another one and it still didn't work. She called me back and stated the cord had a cut in it and I needed a new cord. She said they could order one at a lower price than anyone else ($30) so I said that's fine. It would save me the trouble. I was told I could pick up a cord from them to use in the meantime. I went and picked up my laptop and their cord and was charged $128 for cord and port (?). I waited 10 MORE days and no contact. Went there last Saturday and was told she didn't know where my cord was and messaged the tech and he said it came in but he didn't know where it was. I asked her also why I was charged for a port I probably didn't need due to the cut in my cord and she said she understood and I could talk to the tech and possibly he could refund my money. She said he would be in at 12:30. I came back at 1:10 only to find a note on the door that they were out to lunch. Came back at 1:35 to find numerous people waiting outside the door. Waited until 2:00 and left as other people did too. Came back at 3:30. (4th trip) only to be greeted by a boy with a snake around his neck and a dog constantly coming up to me (?). Wow!! After a wait and the man walking around trying to find my cord I was told he could not locate it and he would call me when he found it I asked for my money back and asked why I paid $90 for a port I probably didn't need. He stated he has done this for 10 years and I did need a port of which I say he can't prove itHe also stated when I wanted my $30 back for cord that he already ordered it. Really?? You can't find it!!! I finally got my money for cord and had to demand a receipt for that. He just kept shoving a tablet at me as proof for what he was doing. Again. To be fair I was warned from the beginning that I wasn't a priority. Only giving a 1 star because it will not let you leave it blank. ZERO stars!! read more

We picked the phone up and took it somewhere else where it was repaired in a day. It took me another six days for refund and then they kept 20% for restocking. Don't ever go there! I must write a review for these guys as it is well deserved. I work from home but when I travel, I need my laptop. I went online and found this place. They claimed not to charge to diagnose the problem, so I figured I could not go wrong. If too expensive to fix, I would just have to buy a new one. Anyhow, I dropped off my laptop and told the guy that it was for work and needing to know right away what was wrong as I was traveling within the week. He called me within a day or so and told me my laptop was done. I went to pick it up and I did not have to pay. He said he just took out the battery and clicked on the power button and the laptop responded. That he diagnosed it and all was good. I would have paid for what he took time to do, but he would not take my money. Instead he asked that write a review. I will certainly take my electronics to them in future.
