I'm sorry to say we were deeply disappointed in the experience. I talked to him every day, and each time he had something new to report about the chaotic and disorganized state of the facility. His therapy sessions were unreliable, the schedule was constantly changing, and there were zero group therapy sessions. The home was more like a halfway house than the mountain retreat the website boasted. We were told a private chef would be preparing meals, but there was no private chef at all and the clients had frozen pizza for dinner multiple times a week. Not once did they communicate with his mental health team here at home, in an effort to streamline his care. After making his concerns and disappointments known to the management, the therapist (and co-founder of the facility) lashed out defensively and took my husband aside for a 3 hour therapy session, which left him unregulated, feeling gaslit & questioning his reality. After choosing to leave the program early (25 days into a 35 day stay), we learned the therapist is practicing without a license. This place preys upon the vulnerable, takes their money, and leaves them worse for wear than when they arrived.

Even when I'd wake up at 2am from one of my night terrors I always had someone there available to talk to me. We went out on hikes and into town for dinners and events, I felt like I was part of a community again after being on my own and dealing with my health issues by myself for so long. I even got in touch with my artistic side for the first time in years with all of the art therapy they provided, I now plan to continue to paint and take some classes near me and continue my newfound hobby. I can't recommend this place enough, I think everyone needs to give somatic therapy a try along with all of the other eastern modalities they offer.
