I had to go to Newark from Fort Lee NJ 2 times due to their machine not being able to pick up my prints. It seems they come in too light. I was told that if there is a third time it would be done thru my social security number instead. Well it has been quite awhile and to date it is still being processed and I am in need of this result in order to get to work. I have to be a bit critical here because I value my time. I've been tasked with getting fingerprinting for a job as I'm sure 90% of the patrons who go to these places. My first problem is there is no direct number to any of the locations. If you call the main number you'll get into a transfer loop which after 10 minutes I gave up. I clicked around the other reviews and on the web to see if walk-in's are accepted. I see a few others mention that yes, it is walk-in. Cool. So I give a go and drive down, and jump in line only to find that no, for the purposes of my fingerprinting, an appointment must be made. Why?? What's so special about my fingerprinting that I have to make an appointment? Of course the lady wouldn't explain and wouldn't even make eye contact as she motioned for me to move so the line could continue. If you're getting to be getting your prints done and are reading this you probably see that a) there is quite a line or b) online appointments range really far away, 2 weeks in my case. This all would've saved me a lot of time had they had number so I could ask if I could do a walk in for my particular prints OR have on their website what constitutes a walk-in or appointment requirement. So to wrap up, walk-in's only apply to 'some'. The attitude of the employees will definitely vary. Prepare for a wait/far out appointment times. read more

My appointment was at 11:50 AM, I pulled up at exactly 11:50 AM, walked in and out in less than 5 mins for fingerprinting, I was the only one in there so not sure how it is on regular days. I only gave it it a 4 star because their website says closed on Saturday's and I was hesitant to drive all the way there and there's no option to speak with anyone on the phone so I took a chance. This place did exactly what it promised in a short amount of time. I went for a TSA Pre-check so I filled out the info online and booked an appointment. It's open 9-12 and then 1-4, I showed up about 12:55 for a 1 pm appointment, luckily the venue was open even though they were closed for that hour lunch. I had to wait a few minutes because I was early, but I was called sharply at 1. Then I got the fingerprinting and a few questions to confirm my information. Then I was done. Total time less than 10 minutes. There was plenty of parking, and I was able to accomplish what I needed to in a very short amount of time, so it was a good experience for me. The service I received was quick. I was in and out within minutes. One thing is while you're waiting they tell you which seat to sit in and when the person ahead of you goes they ask you to switch to that seat. They do not sanitize in between. On Aug.15 2017. Poor customer service skills from Manajah J. and Rosa. This place locked decorum tactfulness professionalism politeness patience I mean the list goes on and I will be contacting the company to have this in writing! Left 9 people waiting from 4:30pm -6:00pm with one person qualified to conduct fingerprints. Manajah more helpful towards individuals of European descent(white/asian). Manajah even went so far to complain outloud about the customers who arrived 10mins before closing! Security engaging in conversation with staff and swearing up a storm and shouting across lobby! When Rosa was finished with me she didn't say thank you have a nice day she just shouted for the next person as if I wasn't even in front of her. So two of us went for Pre-TSA fingerprinting. Parking was way since it was in a strip mall. The staff checked us in and let us know that we had two others in front of us. Luckily, the other two checked I for something else. Each of us were taken after a few minutes (we came early anyway). The person that I was fingerprinted by was nice, friendly and professional. I WAS ASSAULTED BY A STAFF MEMBER! I had a510pm appointment. I thought my appt was 515. I arrived at 519. They stopped me at the door by yelling across the room "we are closed" I responded that i was confused, my appt is at 515. She (caucasian female) proceeded to tell me "we are closed, you missed your appt." AT the same time, another gentleman walked in, pacing, upset that they would not honor his appointment. They did not give a grace period. I asked for police to be called, as at this time im being screamed at and threatened to be "taken out by force". I began to bring my phone out to record. A young african american female, with blond/brown hair, in her 20s proceeded to grab my phone out of my hand! ALL THIS IN FRONT OF HER INFANT DAUGHTER! She then attempted again while i was recording;now grabbing my arm and pushing me. She threatened to "fuck me up" and said "she better not come back here tomorrow or im gonna fuck her up." AN older african american woman tried to restrain her. The caucasian woman continued to scream at me. The security guard just stood there. I tried to call the company, the line doesnt connect-just repeats the prompts. I called the police. The staff scattered. Got their as soon as it opened. Went to renew my twic card. The service was very good. I sat down for like a minute then got called. When I waited for the place to open, I would say their was about 10 people waiting. When I left their was only like 1for 2 people inside the place. I was in and out with in 10 or 15 minutes. Made two appointments and was the first to come here at 8.35am. I got there at 8.29am. The front desk lady had a very bad attitude. She continued to snap at me for no reason. It's past 9am, and I'm still not being seen. And they had 2-3 parties go ahead of me for stateside. There was no legitimate reason except that they randomly took people. When I asked about it at the front desk, she stared me down and told me she is the front desk. The stateside woman hollered at me "come on!" like I was a dog and dropped my driver's license on the floor when she gave it to me to pick it up. Appalled, I tried reasoning with her about the treatment, and she ignored me and told me to go after giving me my receipt. I am beyond furious for the indecent treatment I received and will be reporting these two women to the company. I can't help but wonder if given I was the only Asian in the room, they had preconceived notions of how to treat me as they consistently cowered to other specific racial groups, treated other minority groups very condescendingly (asking one person to prove that he was a U.S. citizen even though that wasn't one of the requirements -- just because he didn't seem to speak English very well even though he had official identification; she stopped asking about his U.S. citizenship when other staff members walked over). For the same stateside line, they seemed to take a specific racial group first until I wanted to understand why I was the first appointment on their list that I saw and by far the earliest arrival and gave priority to other groups for the same category line. After asking if they had an extra mask, the woman complained that everyone always forgets their masks and gave me a disguisting look. Then proceeded to fight with me and yell at me. Instead, she could have told me to go grab one at the gas station next door and come back. I left to get a mask & returned. She gave me another eye roll and asked me "is there a reason why you're sitting over there?!?" Saw her go out of her way to be extra nice to the other customers. So I had to come here to get my prints done but I was appalled at the type of service they offered here. They literally have no system here at all. I came in and no one was at the front so I had to just wait there until someone came and told me to have my ID out and wait by the waiting area. While I was waiting, the workers were all talking out of their cubicles to one another, and one even had the audacity to show me someone else's paperwork asking if it was mine (she could have just asked that person to come up, not show everyone this person's business). Anyways, although my fingerprints literally took about two minutes, the process was so nonchalant. The woman called my name, told me to come next to her and make sure everything on the computer was correct, and then grabbed my fingers and just manipulated it to the fingerprint scanner. After having my prints, she just told me to sign the receipt and then she said im done. Didnt tell me what to do next so I was confused if I just go home or not. I double checked when booking the appointment on Friday and they said "yes, monday feb 19th". Cancelled my plans today and they are not even open. They also have the audacity to have some kind of fee when you dont make it to your appointment. We'll see what kind of fee they pay ME for not being open when they're supposed to. I was recently elected to the board of trustees of charter school in Jersey City. Much to my surprise, serving on a board requires fingerprinting, which is itself odd since board members work with school administrators and the like, not school children. In any event, I learned that to be fingerprinted, one needs to make an appointment with Identago, which is apparently a unit of another company called Morphotrust, which may be changing its name to Idemia (just finding out the name of the company is not easy). No NJ resident who is required to submit to fingerprinting has any choice by to patronize Identago/Morphotrust/Idemia, which I will refer to as Identago. I made an appointment for the company's Newark location. To do so, I had to pay a fee of $62.66, which I did online, paying, as was requested, by credit card. No one told me that there was any issue with my appointment of the payment. When I arrived on time at the Newark location, I was told that my payment did not go through and that to complete my appointment I would have to give them a money order. They would not accept a credit or debit card, a check or even cash. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who offered not alternative, and who said the company would not accept a credit card over the phone. If I wanted to pay again online, I was told I could do that--but it would have to be for a different appointment on a different day, not the one I already had. The supervisor who I spoke to offered no reason why they could not accept any other form of payment--the kinds of payments routinely accepted by millions of businesses large and small and the type of payment it accepts online in advance of appointments. When I tried to call customer service, as their supervisor suggested, they took 13 minutes before answering, and then they hung up. When I tried to get the company on the phone later, I was kept on hold for more than half an hour. I cannot recall the last time I was required to pay for anything by money order. Indeed, the Identago website states, "Money Order Payments - Please be advised that money order payments are no longer accepted as a form of payment at any Enrollment Center in New Jersey. All payments must be made online when scheduling for your applicant fingerprinting appointment." In short, this company's practice and its level of service is inexplicable and maddening. Nevertheless, I went to a nearby drugstore to purchase a money order, but it would only take cash, which I did not have with me. At that point I left and am not sure if I am willing to return. The NJ Dep't of Banking and Insurance says "The company has established ... several mobile units available to meet their contractual agreement." In fact, there are no mobile units. If the state must require fingerprinting and it is to be outsourced to a vendor, it should offer a choice of vendors so they can compete on price and service. Apparently, though, Identago has been given a monopoly, resulting in sub-par service. That being the case, the company should accept payments on reasonable and widely accepted commercial terms. It should also inform its customers in advance if there has been a problem with payment. It seems to me that Identago is content to provide inferior service on uniquely inconvenient terms, an abuse of its de facto monopoly position. The state should demand Identago provide decent service or it should cancel its contract. read more

9:30am apt on a tuesday. Got TSA-Pre & passport photo, and was out in 30 minutes. Has parking lot that wasnt too busy. Everyone was generally nice, and efficient. If you come at the right time, this is a pretty painless spot to get your stuff done. Definitely make an apt! read more

By far the worst experience. I made an appointment for 11:00 am, waited 45 mins for someone to call me before I approached the front desk to ask what was the wait. They then realized they had forgotten about me. When the person who did the fingerprints brought me in she had an attitude as if I was inconviencing her. Very disappointed! You would think they would have a better hiring process when they hire people to work in these locations, but that must be too much to ask for. read more

RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!! I came here to get my finger prints taken and was DISMISSED by a rude woman with fake eyelashes!!!! A family friend with the same information as myself was kindly treated and serviced but for some strange reason I was discriminated against, this big woman complained prior to being short staffed out loud, then didn't give me an explanation as to why I couldn't get my prints taken. She yelled NEXT loudly without allowing me to explain, I had the board of nursing on the phone to explain to the woman my documents were correct but again, being stubborn continued to dismissed me. I proceeded to call the customer service department to talk to the supervisor who also was just as rude and useless as the woman who "helped" me. I felt as though he didn't believe me and questioned my intelligence. My question here is why was I Discriminated against? On the phone with the supervisor I asked if all of his employees are given customer service training or just proper manners and he huffed and said yes, and rudely asked if there's anything else I can do. Worst experience ever! I payed for fingerprinting 2 weeks in advance and when I came there, the lady on the front desk (older lady with glasses and blonde hair) was EXTREMELY rude and unfriendly telling me they don't want to fingerprint a foreigner. Even though I had all the documents required for fingerprinting, including 2 forms of ID and USCIS Employment Authorization Card. But she continued to repeat ''I'm not allowed to fingerprint a foreigner''. So, It's not only that she was rude and insolent with her racist attitude, but she wasn't even familiar with the State of NJ law! When I talked to her boss he didn't seem like he knew that my Working VISA is one of the documents (issued by the State of Us) required for fingerprinting. I don't think it's good for anybody (especially for foreigners who just want everything by the law) that highly incompetent people with insolent and extremely racist attitude work on positions to help costumers.
