After initially being quoted 1 price over the phone and then the customer…read morerep trying to make me sign a higher price at the store and insisting that his price was final, I contacted the manager and he fixed the price to the one I was given over the phone. I appreciated this. Their pricing system is very, very complicated and is not designed for long term storage. It kind of feels like it is designed to trick the customer into increasingly higher payments. An initial new customer price quickly rises to nearly double that price over a year. I understand that climate controlled storage pays a premium but this storage might be the most expensive in the city for simple long term storage. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place unless you only need it for a few months or if you absolutely have to have climate controlled storage. The company could probably make more money with longer term, stable pricing that doesn't accelerate so high. Something like the first 4 months at a new customer discount and then an expected stable price is much, much easier for the customer to navigate.

After 2 payments, they randomly decided to increase the monthly rate with an email. Since we live in Boston we are stuck until late August. I'd discuss rate and make sure you are locked in if possible for the duration of the rental. I've reached out for an explanation, but not response from anyone with the company.

I recently upgraded to a bigger unit, I planned to go elsewhere because they didn't have the size I needed. But then Mark reached out to me asking why I was switching companies, I explained the situation and he stayed in contact with me until we came to an agreement on another unit and now I'm moved into a bigger unit and a very satisfied customer. When they say "preferred location not guaranteed" there is literally no limit on how far away you…read moremight have to pick up your vehicle, and they won't tell you your pickup location until 5pm the day before. This means you might have to figure out how to get to a completely different city or even a different state with about 12 hours notice. Your "reservation" just means that somewhere in the world there is a piece of equipment with your name on it. I recommend using literally any other truck rental service, especially if you're moving in Madison in the summer.

I had called several small and large moving companies but they were all busy and expensive. Most of them require you to pay for 2-3 hours minimum to make it worth their while. O'Mara Moving doesn't have a minimum and has very competitive rates. Like other moving companies, their clock starts when they leave their warehouse, so they had estimated that it would take 2 hours. I was worried that traffic and construction would slow them down, so they recommended that I schedule it for 1:30 pm when traffic would be less of a problem. I was impressed that they helped me minimize the time rather than scheduling it for rush hour and charging for an extra 1-2 hours. They picked up my furniture from the consignment shop and carefully wrapped it in packing blankets. I couldn't have done a better job myself, and I'm a very careful person. They were very friendly and professional. When they arrived at my apartment downtown, the construction crews were blocking my front entrance and cars were blocking my back entrance. I was doubtful that they could navigate those obstacles, but they weren't even phased. I was expecting that dust and dirt would get tracked into my apartment, but they were thoughtful about wiping their shoes and didn't track anything in. Despite the construction, they beat their own time estimate and only charged me for 1.5 hours. These guys obviously know what they're doing and take pride in doing it well. I will recommend them to all of my friends and will call them again if I need anything else delivered.

Wrost customer service and sales. I would not recomment this company to anyone. Dont fall for sweet talks before signing the contracts. I made mistake choosing this company. and WIll not even refer this horrible company. Once contract is signed, the sales guy who is responsible DAve Harper doesnt even pick calls or responds to email. I would rate them 0 for their service.
