Absolutely terrible customer service. I have been struggling with this company since March. Every time I call them they have to contact someone else and say they will call me back in 3-5 business days... then I never hear from them, so I give them a call a week or two later.. I'm given the run around again. I was told two months ago that a refund was in process for me. Still no refund. I have had three people tell me they emailed my account manager to call me, and she has yet to do so. I'm not sure if it is still Erin or not.This company is scamming people. Rashida rushed me into a contract while keeping me on a call. Then asked for my card number, which I assumed was to hold the appointment. Turns out she just charged me then and there without saying anything. I am very sad to be writing this review as I have had multiple treatment over the years and never had issues with the treatments themselves. The one star is for Ideal Image as a company and more specifically the customer service team. I have been reaching out for MONTHS (beginning in 11/21) trying to get an issue resolved. In February '22 I was finally able to talk with Danielle Gino and sent her the documentation she requested, but never heard back. I have called 1-2xs weekly and have still not had a resolution or talked with anyone in management who can help me. I was finally told she is no longer with the company and someone would reach out, but that was almost a month ago. My next step will be the BBB. Stay away! They got me into paying $2,123.59 in advance prior to schedule the services (I feel so stupid now). I was really clear to the lady on the phone that I needed the treatment done soon fort some big travel plans and she assured it was not going to be an issue. When I called the location to book, they were more than 2 months out. I emailed the lady who sold me and she told I would get a refund (I have the email as proof). Today someone from billing contacted me and she basically said I cannot get a refund. Unless I have a medical issue or some bullshit about not getting the services in 60 days. Coolsculpting well if you are late you get charged but if they running late than you don't get compensation! I had a best nurse whom I was trust did my first 2 session and booked with her and nobody told me she isn't working here anymore, so sad. What I realized the sales people doesn't really know what they selling meaning how many unit you really need for areas. Zoom selling without technicians not the best idea. That happened with me! When I show up appointment the nurses said no treatable. Than the supervisor nurse in other location said yes it is months later. They don't have to much appointments because they don't have to much technicians!!! I'm not happy with the results! I got more saggy on my stomach area after the first session! The most painful experience... First I scheduled an appointment which no one told me that I would have to go through a video chat clearance with a nurse. I got to the appointment and waited more than one hour for nothing. I had to leave because was taking too long. I rescheduled the appointment to Sunday at noon. After going through the video chat I am still waiting - 1 & 1/2 hours to get the Botox treatment. Literally writing this review while waiting. They scheduled several people at the same time and kept taking everyone ahead of me. I made a complaint about the wait and the staff said there is nothing they can do and it is not her y. No respect for my time. Price of Botox is not even cheaper to go through this ridiculous service. I have done Botox in several other locations and never experienced this horrible service. I'll start by saying this the laser hair removal treatment itself was awesome and so was the technician. I have a certain area in my body that hair is too thin to get removed so I asked for a transfer to a different area at the same price I was told they would do it. Everything was confirmed and said. But not done. There is never a manager in office or caseworker to explain your contract to you whenever some thing doesn't work do you only thing they keep saying is they will honor it. Never could I get into a appointment for my treatment but my card is still getting charged for the service. Poor customer service with the ladies in the front and I believe it's a manager working from home. My experience with Ideal Image in North Austin was phenomenal! It all started with getting a recommendation from a friend and it culminated with incredible results. My adviser Sativa was super-professional and very low pressure. She knew I only wanted injectables, specifically Botox, and while she showed me some different products and options, there was no pressure to buy more than what I needed or wanted. She explained what the various products were for and how they worked, so that in the future I can look into those if I feel I need them. I've been getting Botox for about 2 years, getting Groupons to try out various offices and practices in the Austin area. While I've gotten some great deals and learned a lot about the way it works and techniques of various estheticians, I've always found that my best results and experiences have been when actual nurses or physicians are the ones doing the injecting, and Ideal Image provided me with a nurse who knew exactly what she was doing. Yes, it's a little painful, but it's over before you know it. I started seeing results about Day 3, and by Day 10, right as I was leaving for vacation, I looked in the mirror and thought, "Well, this is typical. This is as good as it's ever been so I got my money's worth." Guess what? I was WRONG. That session turned into the jabs that keep on smoothing. It's been about 3-4 weeks now. I'm in my early 50's, can raise my eyebrows all the way up and there are absolutely NO LINES in my forehead. Ideal Image's frontline advisors and backstage practitioners make a great team; I feel like I not only got a sweet deal, but that I got fresh product administered by someone who really knows what they're doing. If I could put zero starts I really would. Let's start with the fact that their entire laser hair removal bit is a scam. They truly know how to manipulate you and think this is going to be great. They make vague promises like "lifetime guarantee" (which is at a large $$$ to you). You pay for the entire service upfront so then they can treat you like crap, and you can't get out once you realize you've been scammed. As for THIS BRANCH: How unprofessional can you be? I am a college student that drives 2.5 hours back to Austin for this hair removal appointment, and you're going to CANCEL with a TWO HOUR NOTICE??? I understand things happen but your company should be prepared for these things, and have back up. Considering appointment wait times are 8 weeks out MINIMUM! Not only did they cancel my appointment with a 2 hour notice, they offered ZERO compensation. Do not bother going here - their customer service stops after they sell you a service. This issue occurred at the South Austin location. My fillers were done wrong - it came out asymmetrical with two hard lumps of filler where it was injected too far back on my lower lip and causing a large lump, leading to my having to pay for my fillers to be dissolved somewhere else. Business is not refunding me and has not followed up since my last call to get help on 4/26, after multiple appointment cancellations on their end. Starting at the beginning, I purchased two syringes of Juvederm from the Ideal Image South location in January. They are very responsive when they want to sell you a service but their customer service ends after your credit card is run. I had my first filler appointment 2/22/2020 - the nurse practitioner did my fillers, and afterwards the receptionist said they couldn't book my needed follow up appointment at the time and they would call me to follow up. After the swelling began to go down over 24 hours I noticed one side was asymmetrical and there was a bump on the upper left side of my upper lip, and a bubble close to the right corner of my lower lip. I then called the south location twice, asking to see someone asap to have this looked at. I had asymmetrical filler on my face and it was noticeable and I had the receptionist dismiss me both times before, on the third call, letting me know there was walk in availability that day and I could come in. The nurse at that point said that the filler had set and I just needed to "allow time for it to settle." Later after visiting a dermatologist I was told they put the filler too far back in my lower lip, causing the hardened bubble of filler. On my lower lip - my injector from Ideal Image had injected the Juvederm too close to the surface of my lip, causing the bubble. I had to call Ideal image too more times to ask the receptionist to schedule me for the second appointment to have the second syringe that I paid for injected. It was scheduled for the week of 3/19 - at this point the state and city had issued a stay at home order due to COVID. That appointment had to be cancelled - but there was ZERO customer service follow up from the company. The phone lines did not direct to anyone who could assist in person. I was only able to schedule a virtual consult online - they continued to push selling their products and future service bookings and again, were very responsive when it came to an appointment to take more money. ON this virtual consultation, 3/24, I was given a run around explanation on the cancellations they had due to closing. But I was sold an additional syringe of Juvederm under the premise that I would receive " priority scheduling" when they were able to open back up. I was later tentatively scheduled for an appointment on 5/28 to have my second round of fillers. The day of that appointment, I had taken off work, and arrived at my appointment to be told that my appointment had been cancelled. I had not received any notification that the company was not allowing filler appointments where a face mask could not be worn. I was just left standing outside of a locked facility door while the same snitty receptionist gave me a flippant " sorry" explanation that it was company policy and I would have to talk to the location manager but she would not/ could not transfer me to them and they were still working from home. Three phone calls and emails later to the manager and corporate office and I finally got helped, and assured I would be given priority scheduling again. I was then scheduled for an appointment 6/26, confirmed that appointment 48 hours prior and then 24 hours before that appointment got a call from the same snitty receptionist who said my appointment had to be cancelled and that it was my responsibility to follow up with the manager to ask for a refund. Again, I emailed both the south Austin and area manager Tiffany and Sidra, and called the corporate line twice before getting a call from Sidra. I had to ask there twice to respond to my email. When she did call me she gave me the run around and said I would have to wait for another person higher up to call me about a refund request and it was something she could not do for me. Even though I was told by the receptionist and customer service representative that Sidra was the person who would follow up with me to approve a refund. It has now been four days and I have heard nothing - they are not able to honor the service that they have had no problem charging my credit card for and due to the situation I have asked to be fully refunded. They are claiming the latest two cancellations 5/28 and 6/24, due to a "state mandate" but it is not accurate information - I have talked to 4 different businesses who've legally been doing lip filler since May. I am seeking resolution for a full refund of the two remaining syringes of Juvederm that I purchased. read more

Then, when I arrived, I was greeted and taken back right away. After speaking with Melonie for a while, I decided to cancel my other consultation elsewhere and go with Ideal Image. Here is what I left on their survey that they left me: First, I was told that this was a consultation that would last 30-45 minutes. I simply wanted to know the cost of the facial I saw on facebook. The very nice woman on the phone who called me explained that I needed to have my skin assessed and that there is a lot that goes into picking the right treatments. I gladly made an appointment for my husband and myself as I was so impressed at the fact that so much care goes into picking a treatment for me. After arriving at Ideal Image we were told that "the nation is having issues with the internet" so our appointment would be late. Okay? Well, that is super odd since I am in Digital Marketing and we had zero issues but okay? After 20 minutes of waiting a woman had me and my husband come into a small office, sat us at a table and never looked at our skin or asked us one question about our skin types etc. She simply told us there were two facial types one was 150 and one was 190, if we bought 2 we would get 1 free. Then asked which one we wanted. Never did she explain what the two had to offer, just simply prices and that is it. It was the most unprofessional attempt at a sales pitch I have ever seen. You could have just told me the pricing over the phone and not wasted my time, forcing me to leave work early rush in there by 7pm only to sit and wait for NOTHING. I actually would have booked a facial for both of us had the lady on the phone properly gone over the different types and prices instead of making it out to be a consultation. If you spent as much effort on customer service as you did the facebook video that got people to give you their information so you could trick them into coming for a fake consultation appointment you might actually have a much greater ROI on that said fb video. In the end when we looked at the women and explained that we were told this was a consultation with a "doctor" who was to make suggestions for our specific skin types, her only response was, "sorry about that misinformation, thanks for coming in". I honestly cannot say enough negative things about this location. I bought three BBL laser treatments pre-paid in March 2020 and I have still only had 1 treatment because of everything happening with Covid, which I understand, but I did ask someone to call me when they were going to be able to start the treatments again and no one ever called. In fact, I reached out to them several times from June to August and they said they would call me back every time. They never did and I just found out recently that they started booking them again (without notifying me even though they falsely stated they put me on a "list" to call back) and now the wait time is all the way until November when I pre-paid for these in March. In the meantime, I visited a different clinic in which the staff told me they would never offer BBL laser to me because my skin tone is too dark and I would have almost no benefit (which would explain why the first treatment from Ideal Image did nothing at all, no redness whatsoever and no peeling). I have been requesting a refund for the past two months for my remaining 2 treatments because they are unable to schedule me for a long time and also because they should have never pitched these treatments to me in the first place and I am still struggling to get someone to contact me (after literally 30 calls over the past 2 months to customer service). Now I have to go through my bank and file a dispute because they won't take care of it themselves so I'm not happy at all. The saleswoman (who like the secretary is dressed in scrubs but neither are nurses of any kind) even explained to me the IPL is not for hair removal and doesnt work at all (i asked because another place i was considering offered IPL treatments). Finally we go back to her office to talk numbers. I have never been more shocked at how silly and absurd the pricing of a business was. It reminded me of the Time-Share meeting i went to in Las Vegas last year but WORSE. She pulls out a calculator and chart and says things like "OK...so the back is $10,000, but 50% off today so thats $5000. The shoulders are $3,000 but we'll throw those in there..." Etc etc, and the total came out to $7,700!! I was like, are you kidding me? Every other place in town is between 1 and 2 thousand for several treatments. Granted, this is a 9 treatment package, but its still nowhere near realistic. After i said no thank you, i have to do some more reasearch, the lady says she can only give me this sale price today. LOL. I say no thanks and she changes her story immediately saying she can give it to me for $5000 today and only today, but can leave the original offer open for 3-4 days. I say no thanks I HAVE TO DO MY RESEARCH. Thank goodness i did, because i started googling this place and googling all the different laser types (there are 4-5). It turns out IPL was the first ever approved by the FDA for laser hair removal, although it does have other uses as well unrelated to hair. Lie #1. I also read tons of review that i linked above where people say they paid the outrageous prices only to be told the next day that the office was "booked for 3 months solid" and they would have to wait. No refunds or reimbursements. Other horror stories included many reports of people who had INCREASED hair growth on their facial hair and EXCESSIVE burning of the skin that this company has had chronic problems with. This is a national chain and a national scam. Dont waste your time or money. There was even discussion on one review site of people jointly filing suit against this company. STAY AWAY. No one at the front desk to greet me - stood there for about 5 minutes before someone came out of the back and apologized. Once i was checked, my consultant (salesperson) came to get me for the "tour" very quickly. Spent a lot of time chatting, she made a couple of statements which i know to be exaggerated if not outright deceptions, concerning the difference between their machines and IPL. No way would i be willing to commit 2 years to this process! Finally got down to talking money, she gave me the standard 50% off discount right off the bat. Problem is, for the price of a basic bikini line at II, i could get full legs AND my bikini line done elsewhere, and have change leftover. They really, really push the financing option through Chase, which i find ludicrous for a vanity treatment. I've had more high pressure sales experiences, but overall would not go back, especially when they practice deceptive marketing and the price is so out of line. read more

Went in for a consultation to see if I was a good candidate and see how much it would cost. They were having their 50% off sale so I was more interested to do it. I wanted some time to think about it and told the lady I would call her back that night to let her know if I wnated the treatment. She asked if she could run my credit to let me know how much I would be pre-approved for for their financing option. I gave her the go ahead. It came back that I was pre-approved for way more then the treatment would cost....so that was a good thing. Needless to say, I decided not to get the treatment. I ended up not calling back that night. The lady called me back a day or two later, but I didn't answer. Then a few days after that....I received a CREDIT CARD in the mail for Ideal Image. I was never told that I was applying for a credit card. DO NOT let them run your credit unless you are absolutely SURE you want to use them for laser hair removal. If you do, you will end up receiving a credit card that you did not ask for. Then you'll have to hurt your credit (temporarily) to cancel that credit card. Not really sure why the ratings are so low at this location. I had to transfer from the Tacoma, WA. location since my family was relocated for work. Everyone I have spoken with has been friendly and professional. I had my third treatment today (1st at this location). The technician was knowledgable and friendly. The reception staff was friendly as well. I am having my legs, underarms, and Brazilian area done. I have dark hair and olive skin and I am already noticing that my hair is growing in thinner and thinner. I think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations coming in and that is the reason for so many bad reviews. As someone that was spending close to 175 every two weeks on waxing, I think this is an ideal solution. No pun intended. Even if there is regrowth, $75.00 twice a year is much better than what I was paying for waxing. read more

I was so excited to finally afford to get laser hair removal treatment on my legs. Had a consultation and boy were they quick to take thousands of dollars up front...And assure you will have plenty of time to get all of your required sessions in for the treatment to be effective according to their "contract terms" But it's a huge lie, because what they fail to tell you is that they have extremely limited availability and and will cancel your appointments. If you happen to get an appointment in and need to reschedule for some reason, you won't be able to find another available appointment until 2 months later, sometimes longer! Do they lengthen the time on your contract to make up for no available appointments that force you to schedule well after your next recommended appt time so that the treatment works as it should? NOPE. I called to see about scheduling my next appt since my last one was canceled BY THEM and didn't see an available appt in site on their app...only to find out my contract had expired and the clinic refused to let me have another treatment and was told I needed to pay an additional $250 for the "touch up phase" when I was told by the sales rep this was included in the package I purchased ($3400) Extremely unprofessional and I feel like I got scammed. I went in for a consultation, expecting for just that and an estimate. She had me sign a whole bunch of paperwork that she didn't really explain. She skipped over it just to get my signature. She then asked for my social security number to "see if I'd get approved for a credit loan". I complied. I told her, since my parents are bankers, they told me not to open up a credit card account until I get a job. She did it anyways and when I asked if it was set in stone, she said yes. I called Fortiva after to shut it down because I was not gonna go through with laser hair removal and they did not tell me that the transaction already went through. How do you take $1500 from someone when they haven't even set up an appointment yet? How do you pressure a young person with no job to ruin their credit for LASER HAIR REMOVAL. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Their Facebook add caught my attention and since I want some treatments done, I provided my information, so that I could take advantage of their free consultation. I gave them my information and they kept sending me text messages for me to confirm my appointment. I did, and I arrived on time. The receptionist told me to take a seat and wait, and that they will be with me shortly. I saw a lot of people waiting, and everybody going in before me, and the clock ticking and nobody even taking the time to acknowledge my presence, or taking the time to explain to me why were they were taking so long. Finally I stood up and left. Two hours went by and I finally got a phone call from them, but I was so pissed off that I did not pick up. Melonie left a voice message apologizing and saying that this happens from time to time, but that she had spoken to the manager about this, and that she had authorized her to give me a 10% discount (off a free consultation?) She also said that the manager was going to call me and that never happened. A day later I got an email with a link to a survey. I took the survey and my review was obviously very bad. I got another phone call from Melonie (apparently the manager is too important to talk to a dissatisfied customer). Melonie told me that the manager was willing to offer a free treatment of my choice. I told her I don't want anything from them and gave her some pointers on how to behave in a more professional manner. When I pointed out that after I left they let 2 hours go by before they contacted me, her excuse was that she was afraid that I might be too mad and she didn't want to deal with that (Yes. She actually said that). I really hope these people invest in some education on customer service, communication, customer satisfaction, time management and people skills. read more

I wish I could write a better review for Ideal Image. I was so very excited about laser hair removal and saying adios to my razor. I started treatment 3 years ago on my legs, bikini and underarms. I have had over 11 treatments (10-12 weeks apart) on each area and still have dark hair growing back. Here's what I wish I knew before I wasted thousands of dollars: 1. Laser hair removal (LHR) is not completely effective and works differently on everybody. I have less hair than when I started, but still have to shave often. Any light colored hair will not be killed. The consultant told me I was the perfect candidate because I am fair with dark hair so all my hair would be removed. This is not true at all. 2. LHR HURTS. I used numbing cream but it only dulls the pain. It is also a bit tricky and messy to effectively apply. I told myself the pain would be worth it when all my hair was gone. I was wrong. 3. My hair did not grow back until more than 12 weeks after a treatment. That means while I was getting treated, I thought LHR was working. It was only after my 9 treatments that I realized the hair would grow back. 4. Guests are instructed to not have any sun exposure to the areas being treated. This was very difficult to do for 2+ years. If you do get tan, Ideal image won't treat you, and your "lifetime warranty" is voided. 5. Ideal Image makes it extremely difficult to schedule appointments once you begin treatment. They overbook and have very little availability. If by chance you have to cancel, it is nearly impossible to reschedule within a timely manner. It is also difficult to get a return phone call from the office staff. 6. The Lifetime Guarantee does not guarantee anything except that you can pay a discounted rate (still hundreds of dollars) for more treatments if you're hair isn't gone, as long as you've followed all the rules including sun exposure and treatments within the correct time periods. I very much wish I had done more research before purchasing my LHR package from Ideal Image. This was the worst purchase decision I have ever made. I am long overdue for an honest review about Ideal Image and my experience with laser hair removal. I signed up about 2 or so years ago, and committed for the 5 to 9 treatment plan. Basically, my biggest concern is that the program is completely falsely advertised - both on radio and ads, as well as in the personal interview. The nurses/technicians were always nice and professional, so I won't complain about them. I did notice that they have a lot of turn over in staff, however, which I think made keeping appointments challenging. Here are the things I felt misled about laser hair removal (from the radio ads and from the girl who signed me up): They describe how you will enjoy not shaving, but they forget to explain that you can't expose the areas AT ALL to the sun - meaning no bikini exposure on the beach - which is probably where you wanted to enjoy this, right? They completely miss explaining it HURTS. In fact, the girl who consulted me actually told me that it hurts less than waxing - not true. I endured waxing without any major issues (as long as the salon knows what they are doing it is fine); it did not hurt even 50% as much as someone burning my skin with a laser. The pain actually increased with each treatment, maybe because they are using different levels of lasers (not sure why). After about 3 treatments, a person at the front desk asked me "well did you bring your numbing cream?"...."Huh? What numbing cream?" No one ever mentioned any such thing to me before. So, they provided me a prescription for the cream. While it helped with the pain, it is not completely numb - and it was not cheap medicine, and only lasted for one treatment (it would expire and be useless by the time of my next appt). Finally, similar to other customers revewing here, I just gave up. After 6 treatments I still had pain, and I was still shaving (in between every treatment) and I still have the same level of hair as before now (after a while it just all grew back). read more

Completely agree with Samer K's review. Ideal Image is a total scam. I scheduled a consultation for last Saturday and met with a sales person. She sat me in a treatment room with the laser and proceeded to (a) tell me a boldfaced lie about why my previous provider closed, and (b) tell me that every other provider and every other type of laser will NOT permanently remove hair, only Ideal Image's laser (IPL) and number of sessions (9) will permanently remove hair. BUT, she said, if hair DOES grow back they will only charge "$40 for 40 pulses" to do spot treatments. They offer a 'written guarantee', which is hilarious, given that no laser treatment in the universe can guarantee that hair will never grow back. You only have to do a little bit of research to find that out. So let me get this straight: you advertise a written guarantee, but continue to charge people if they have to come back and continue treatments if your guaranteed treatments don't work? Something is not quite right here... After I got the rah rah about why everybody else sucks and why Ideal Image is the best (because NURSES do your treatment, and how they don't hire nurses right out of nursing school, of course!), then you go back to the office and talk numbers. Well, let me tell you...it would have cost me more to get 3 small areas of my body done at Ideal Image (close to $4000) than it would cost me to get liposuction. Or a face lift. And this was a promotional 'customer appreciation price'--supposedly, the first area was 50% off, the 2nd area was 60% off and the 3rd area was 70% off. My 'regular' price would have been upwards of $8000! The slick thing about it is, she quoted me this price, THEN directly afterwards said, 'oh, and since we're a MEDICAL facility we offer financing through Chase Medical...do you want me to go ahead and get that started for you?'. Wow, wonder how many people fall for that? I about had a heart attack when I saw the price, never mind open a line of credit to pay for it!! Their scam is that they won't combine areas of the body; for example, they have the 'face' broken down into cheeks, jawline, upper lip, chin and neck, and they charge full price for each area X 9 treatments! Holy crap, what a rip off! Once you agree to the financing terms, you can't discontinue your treatments or get your money back, because it's considered a breach of contract on your part. Don't fall for this, I'm glad I ran the other way after seeing the price. And after doing a little research online, it seems they've trapped a lot of people with this practice. read more

I decided to check back on Ideal Image to see if anyone has sued yet! Agree with all other reviewers: this place is a total scam. They claim you will be hair-free but after I'd had many painful treatments I was told laser hair removal is not 100% effective. Say what?! That's certainly not what I was originally told! Not to mention their prices are OUTRAGEOUS - I was willing to pay more for guaranteed results but that's not what I got. read more

Pros: High quality laser hair removal devices (models are continuously upgraded) Registered nurses are the laser technicians (meaning licensed to use the laser, not fix it) They all warned me about avoiding sun exposure during the course of the treatment. They ALWAYS have asked about sun exposure, if pregnant, etc. before each treatment session (even if it was the day before for a different area) Highly sanitary environment - one of the cleanest I've seen in the industry My laser hair removal worked out great - smooth as can be and without a doubt one of the best decisions I've ever made Personally, I find their staff very educated and professional. Your technician at the time will greatly influence the overall outcome of your experience, however. This place has seen A LOT of turnaround in employees - so having the same technician during the entirety of your treatment plan is unlikely. The lobby area is very nice, wait times are generally really short, and they always offer refreshments upon arrival. Never once had an ingrown hair from laser hair removal. Cons: No up-front pricing. Cost will be different for each individual. This is not unusual for chains such as this, but other places, such as Light Touch will give up front pricing (my preference). I was charged $9,000.00 (total) for upper and lower legs, underarms, and bikini. That said, I'm sure there are better deals to be had - the one saving grace here is that I had excellent results with this place and if I had an excess of expendable income I would gladly return. Perhaps put more effort into bargaining with the sales rep, though. High turn over rate with employees - this means they're not paying them enough more than likely Yes, it hurts - not as much as waxing did for me.
