Where other stores had lackluster employees who either were rushing to get out the door a half hour before closing time or who stayed perched behind the counter waiting until I looked by myself for fifteen minutes and finally asked if there were any salespeople, Jean Cote, one of the owners, at CCC was personable, pleasant and professional. I found exactly what I wanted and felt the price was fair and competitive. I was flexible on my delivery and installation since I had a seasonal cottage and not in a rush, but I was pleasantly surprised that my wait was short. Mike Cote, another owner, kept me posted on installation dates and any delays in getting products. Always apologetic, I feel he and his team were feeling the effects of insufficient staffing due to Covid and trying their best. I could not be happier with the floor that replaced a two year old bamboo floor that buckled due to improper installation by another company. I had a minor snafu because of some construction I had done that required a special transition piece after I placed my order, but that, too, was resolved to my satisfaction by Mark Cote, another family member. Today, I had a second floor installed at a different location. The team, again led by Mark Cote, did a great job working very efficiently and neatly. I could not be happier and was intrigued when Mark told me how many of his family members have been involved in the "family business". I should also shout out Brandon, who is not part of the family, but was most helpful in scheduling my recent work and ensuring that it was done on an expedited and timely basis per my request. I think there are lots of places to purchase floors on Cape Cod. Whenever possible, I would always opt for a local, family-owned business vs. a national discount store or other outlet. In the end, you support the local economy and you build a relationship with local people who are working hard to stay above water. Their materials were bad, the workmanship was bad, they only did some of the work I contracted for, and I had to threaten to take them to court before they offered a settlement. As part of the settlement, I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so I can't mention their name. Loftus was a wonderful company to do business with. I have used them twice and will use them again in the future. Jess was great to work with. This time, I had 3 rooms of new carpet, one repair where a dog had ripped up and shredded a seam, and a bunch of cleaning of existing carpets. The new carpet was high quality, and installed perfectly. The repair was so good that it is impossible to know that there was ever a problem. The cleaning turned out better than I expected. All of the workmen were super polite and did excellent work. You might save a few bucks with one of the national discounters, but in the end you will wish you had gone with someone like Loftus.

Rob and his team were very flexible and thorough. Rob had my husband and I come to his showroom where we were offered a surprisingly large selection of flooring and tiling options, and worked with us to help us create a custom look that we wanted for our home. **side note: we finished construction on our addition/modification to existing home in early 2019, so we have had ample time to "break in" the floor and tile from every day use. I must say that the work done was very high quality, as we have not one negative thing to say about it! Everything is in wonderful shape, and we are still just as happy as we were when it was first installed!** TILE WORK: amazing. Rob and his tile installers were great--I told Rob that I wanted two niches in the shower, and he made it happen--no questions asked. There was an issue we had (on our end) with the studs in that shower wall, and he worked with the GC to create a solution where we were able to have our niches without having to compromise. The two tilers were friendly, fast and very efficient. You can tell they've been doing it for years. They did a wonderful job on our floor and shower, and we couldn't be happier. My in-laws had the same process as we had with Rob, and are very happy with their choices and work as well! LVF: This was one of the last projects we had RKM do, my husband wanted a flooring for his basement "man cave" so Rob guided us to luxury vinyl flooring. He knew what look we had in mind and matched us with a LVF which was not only cost friendly, but was exactly what we wanted for the space. His LVF installation guys were in and out in one morning--I couldn't believe how fast it was! It's been a year since the installation, and the floor is still perfect. WOOD FLOORING: My in-laws had to pick out flooring for their 2 story addition, and Rob was very helpful throughout. My MIL had a specific wider-planked style in mind (which had to be special ordered), and Rob did a great job searching and working with her to find the perfect finish. The floors are so beautiful in person! He even helped her find wooden flooring vents which perfectly matched the hardwoods! KITCHEN BACKSPLASH: My MIL wanted these oversized aqua tiles and ended up purchasing them on her own; and RKM's tilers installed. They did a wonderful job! We had standard white subway tile with dark gray grout installed in our kitchen. They did a wonderful job with that too!! REFINISHING HARDWOODS: we had RKM come in to refinish our dated orange-ish oak floors to a more neutral brown tone in our family room. We scheduled it to be done while we were away for vacation, but they were done in (I believe) 3 days from start to finish. The flooring looks great, and we removed the baseboards beforehand to make it easier for them. We have tilework on the floor around the fireplace, and working with stain I was a little nervous about how clean the edges around it would be--but it was perfect! No bleeding, no splashes, no inconsistency in the color--I will definitely be calling again when we decide to refinish the rest of the downstairs! All in all, I would happily give RKM's team of Rob and his installers the highest possible rating. They are all high quality, experienced workers, who know exactly what they are doing, and are super efficient. I cannot day enough good things about them. Thank you so much RKM for helping to make our house a beautiful home that we are so happy with!

We're in the market for a kitchen backsplash to finish our renovations. We got 5 samples of tile from Home Depot, most arrived chipped and broken. Not to be discouraged, we decided to nix the big box brand and shop local. My parents purchased their kitchen floor here years ago, and the service hasn't wavered a bit. Their showroom is extensive, and you're greeted upon arrival. Betty quickly honed in on what we were looking for, and took us straight to the section that could meet our needs. After showing her the granite we already have, she brought out several samples and a few that varied a bit from what we said we were looking for. Well, we brought a sample home, and the one we fell in love with was actually quite different than what we thought we were looking for! They have a huge array of products at different prices. Our selection just happened to be on the low end, at $11/sq. ft. Some other marble tiles we viewed were as much as $50/sq. ft. You definitely get what you pay for - $11 was a little more than we were looking at from Home Depot but the quality of the product and the service were so much higher at Cloutier, it's worth it!
