A Better Business Bureau communication was also ignored. I drove the 50 miles to the warehouse in late January, 2020 and found them clearing the furniture out of their warehouse. I spoke to the owner who shook my hand and said he knew where my bed was and that he'd be in touch with me in a week, "week-and-a-half at most." He asked for my phone number and surprisingly--for someone who claimed not to have received my communications--he wrote my last name down by memory (it's unusual and French.) Of course, he never called... This young(ish) man has driven his 50 year-old, family business into disrepute. I'm also very sad about my bed.

Since that time, we have tried, repeatedly, to get it. First they couldn't find it. Then, on repeated occasions - and remember this is over 2 YEARS - "it isn't ready yet". Now, when we call, we get no response. I have written, also, with no response. This is plain and simply wrong. They have something of ours of value and they are flat out keeping it. I would have preferred extra time was spent to protect paint job. My bad for paying final bill without throughly checking work in daylight. I was so thrilled with how the floors looked that I didn't notice drip marks until the next visit to the house. Complained to John and was ghosted. Irony is that it was John's idea for us to have the risers painted white -- they were originally same stain color as steps. Now we will need to sand and repaint. I specifically asked John which I should have done first -- floors or painting -- and he said it didn't matter to him. Painters, btw, knew we were going to have all the wood floors refinished, but they carefully covered every inch anyway before prepping walls and risers. Again, very happy with actual floors and communication during work. Moral of story -- paint after floors. UPDATE: Nice to finally hear from you John even if not directly -- btw that is what ghosting means -- you never responded to my text. It's been 2 months since you finished and I only posted my review yesterday. Very patient on my part. I guess you would have preferred me nagging you? I knew before you told me that touch ups along the baseboards might be needed where the sander left scuffs -- actually were no scuffs in baseboards. The drips on risers could gave been avoided had you covered them with plastic instead of the 1" tape alone. Review is accurate, floors are beautiful. We are very pleased with floors but frustrated and disappointed about the drips. If you are concerned about your reputation, acknowledge that you could have spent a little extra time protecting fresh paint on risers and trim below upstairs walkway, apologize and move on.

Everyone worked hard - from the time they walked in until the time they left. The quote was great and inside the budget we'd allowed and we got a ton more than we expected - broken boards replaced, boards that had been replaced with the wrong wood were removed and redone with the correct, matching wood, a couple of boards that didn't lay completely flat were repaired, and so on. But the finished floors were the star of the show! The floors look new. Not repaired, not improved - NEW. We have a long house, and you can see a huge expanse of wooden flooring from one end to the other, and the effect is now gorgeous. We are entirely happy and we got exactly what we'd hoped for. We recommend Max and Luxe Flooring 100% and would use them without hesitation on any further refinishing projects.

He ended up saving me a significant amount of money compared to other estimates by offering maintanance options since my floors were already in good condition. Came asap for estimate and plan and discussion on what is wanted and what he will do to accomplish it. Oil based latex or water based ? Finish - high gloss or satin finish ? I had someone come in before Millennium and this a#% didn't know what he was doing. Talked a good talk , had nice fake pictures and gave me a reference phone number as I requested. Number didn't allow me to see anything. The pictures of the floors he claimed to do ... was not his work. I won't mention his name. Though if a pegleg handyman comes knocking. Tell him to keep on walking. Millennium flooring did a great job taking care of my floors and correcting the pegleg liars damages. At least the flooring damage. Pegleg damaged my steps by spilling Polyurathane on my concrete steps. Messed up my solid wood front door, my fireplace bricks. Millennium Flooring did great work. Clean work. Quick work. A year later and I'm still raving about this company and it's owner also.

I was originally very impressed with FCI when I had the initial consultation. We had received…read moreseveral quotes and were impressed with Matt and his knowledge and guarantees. I made it clear how important it was to have the floors completed the week we had planned and was told they would be even with hidden issues. Was also told the quote is what it is and no hidden fees will arise at the end of the project. Only one person came for the entire project because his co worker quit before the start of my floors. Chris was fantastic but the subfloor under my tile was an issue and had to be ripped up along with the tile which I understand was an unexpected issue. I had to pay extra for more subfloor. I know it was out of their hands but I did not plan for that extra cost out of pocket. The project was not finished when I was told it would be because only on one of the days, they sent an extra pair of hands to help, which that helper scraped my wall so I had to sand and repaint that spot. Even after it was finished, the thresholds had to be replaced because the nails were coming up through them. This took and extra couple weeks to be completed . I will say Craig followed up to make sure it was done correctly and when all is said and done, Chris did an amazing job on the floors. I wish the communication from Matt to myself and the crew was better and I understand people are busy but a quick text is all I required to stay in the loop. Again, I gave 4 starts because the floors look amazing.
