Carpets of Cape Cod

Carpets of Cape Cod earned my business the first time I walked in the door. After visiting the…read morestring of flooring stores in Hyannis and neighboring area, it was clear the Carpets of Cape Cod cared about me and actually wanted my business. Where other stores had lackluster employees who either were rushing to get out the door a half hour before closing time or who stayed perched behind the counter waiting until I looked by myself for fifteen minutes and finally asked if there were any salespeople, Jean Cote, one of the owners, at CCC was personable, pleasant and professional. I found exactly what I wanted and felt the price was fair and competitive. I was flexible on my delivery and installation since I had a seasonal cottage and not in a rush, but I was pleasantly surprised that my wait was short. Mike Cote, another owner, kept me posted on installation dates and any delays in getting products. Always apologetic, I feel he and his team were feeling the effects of insufficient staffing due to Covid and trying their best. I could not be happier with the floor that replaced a two year old bamboo floor that buckled due to improper installation by another company. I had a minor snafu because of some construction I had done that required a special transition piece after I placed my order, but that, too, was resolved to my satisfaction by Mark Cote, another family member. Today, I had a second floor installed at a different location. The team, again led by Mark Cote, did a great job working very efficiently and neatly. I could not be happier and was intrigued when Mark told me how many of his family members have been involved in the "family business". I should also shout out Brandon, who is not part of the family, but was most helpful in scheduling my recent work and ensuring that it was done on an expedited and timely basis per my request. I think there are lots of places to purchase floors on Cape Cod. Whenever possible, I would always opt for a local, family-owned business vs. a national discount store or other outlet. In the end, you support the local economy and you build a relationship with local people who are working hard to stay above water. Kudos to the Cote family and staff for doing their best during Covid and beyond! Five Stars from me!

We're in the market for a kitchen backsplash to finish our renovations. We got 5 samples of tile from Home Depot, most arrived chipped and broken. Not to be discouraged, we decided to nix the big box brand and shop local. My parents purchased their kitchen floor here years ago, and the service hasn't wavered a bit. Their showroom is extensive, and you're greeted upon arrival. Betty quickly honed in on what we were looking for, and took us straight to the section that could meet our needs. After showing her the granite we already have, she brought out several samples and a few that varied a bit from what we said we were looking for. Well, we brought a sample home, and the one we fell in love with was actually quite different than what we thought we were looking for! They have a huge array of products at different prices. Our selection just happened to be on the low end, at $11/sq. ft. Some other marble tiles we viewed were as much as $50/sq. ft. You definitely get what you pay for - $11 was a little more than we were looking at from Home Depot but the quality of the product and the service were so much higher at Cloutier, it's worth it!

This is the second time we have worked with Jackie from Ideal Floor & Design in Hyannis…read more We first did our cape house two bathrooms. They are an oasis of serenity. The large format white tiles on most of the walls paired with the sky blue paint give the master bathroom a feeling of the most perfect summer day. The second floor bathroom used glossy white subway tiles to make the shower appear more spacious. The white and soft green mosaic shower floor, again, brought the seaside feel indoors. Our new home is a condo in Boston. Here we picked 5" square navy and white tiles to expand a shared bathroom by using them on the sink wall around a window and then mirroring the shower at the other end of the bathroom. For the hall bathroom we chose green and white tiles 2 1/2" x 9". Stacked, they will give the small space breathing room. The master bathroom is very simple index card size crackle brown tiles, lining the shower. Clean, elegant, timeless. What Jackie does so very well is take your tile picks and find the most amazing floor tile that has companion 2" shower floor tiles. Every bathroom becomes coordinated without the matchy, matchy look. We leave the grout selection solely up to her. Jackie is very knowledgeable about the products. She has suggestions and opinions that are geared towards making your finished project that you imagined in your mind a reality. My contractor has a tile store he works with in Boston but Ideal has an amazing wide range of products for any style home. I would not go anywhere else.

Everyone worked hard - from the time they walked in until the time they left. The quote was great and inside the budget we'd allowed and we got a ton more than we expected - broken boards replaced, boards that had been replaced with the wrong wood were removed and redone with the correct, matching wood, a couple of boards that didn't lay completely flat were repaired, and so on. But the finished floors were the star of the show! The floors look new. Not repaired, not improved - NEW. We have a long house, and you can see a huge expanse of wooden flooring from one end to the other, and the effect is now gorgeous. We are entirely happy and we got exactly what we'd hoped for. We recommend Max and Luxe Flooring 100% and would use them without hesitation on any further refinishing projects.

He and his team finished the project in a day and he even came back the next day to walk through the house with me in case I had any questions or concerns. Ultimately a very pleasant experience! Would recommend.
