Ideal Floor and Design installed a bathroom floor and a front door foyer floor for us in September of 2023. Both floors are large format 1' x 2' tiles. The installation crew did a great job. The seams are very small and the leveling system they used resulted in absolute level floors with no raised lips between tiles. We are very happy with the new floors. This is our second great experience with Ideal. We had hardwood floors installed on our whole first floor by them in 2017 that still look like new. read more

Tough to write how badly we were treated / lied to by ideal flooring. We ordered flooring, we had the sample and looked on the website at some photos. The floor looked pretty and had some variation in coloring (a little lighter, a littler darker). When we got the flooring we check two boxes and all looked good. Well upon opening more we found there were major striations in almost every box (think big yellow unstainable parts of the floor). We called the store in a panic thinking something was wrong and they would help. Well no we got told - too bad you knew there would be variation. When I said I was going to the floor company Shaws to complain. I was told if I dare go to the BBB or make a formal complaint, I would get nothing and it would be a fight. Well it was a fight and after months of complaining and escalating (turning down 50% of store credit as I said I would never shop there again). Shaws refunded us the full amount. We recently had the rug in our living room and offices replaced with some COREtec vinyl, and had our entire upstairs and 2 sets of stairs re-carpeted. In regards the customer service, I have to say that it was fantastic. Sabrina was very helpful when we initially walked through the door, and stayed in touch every step of the way from that point on. With the vinyl installation, we found one area that was not quite right, but when the guys came back, they did a great job fixing it. The carpet installation went very well, and it was only one guy! The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is because there wasn't enough vinyl or carpet ordered initially, so the jobs ended up taking longer than expected. Very honest and up front company that seems to actually care about their customers! read more

I was the only person on the rug floor. There were two salespeople. I looked around for 10 mins and neither one acknowledged my presence or offered to help in any way. I have 6 rooms that need rugs, but I would never go back here. read more

I guess I should have read the reviews here before going with ideal floor. I chose them bc they were running a deal for healthcare workers of "free installation." What a joke!! I still was charged for removal of the old floor, taking the baseboards on/off and moving my appliances. See photos for how they thought it was acceptable to leave my baseboards and then Jackie the sales girl had the Gaul to tell me after they had fixed them "I did not charge you for the reinstall as a courtesy" A courtesy for what? Correcting what you screwed up? Also my entire house is covered in dust! I know it's a messy job but if I knew how bad they were going to be I would've moved all of my things into cupboards as protection. They also left drinks behind as well as plenty of chunks of floor and nails. Including in my shower! What if I had children? There is now way anyone could crawl or play until I clean every inch! They could've at least used a quick shop vac to get up the big pieces. I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Do not ever use Ideal for anything unless you want one frustration after another! read more

This is the second time we have worked with Jackie from Ideal Floor & Design in Hyannis. We first did our cape house two bathrooms. They are an oasis of serenity. The large format white tiles on most of the walls paired with the sky blue paint give the master bathroom a feeling of the most perfect summer day. The second floor bathroom used glossy white subway tiles to make the shower appear more spacious. The white and soft green mosaic shower floor, again, brought the seaside feel indoors. Our new home is a condo in Boston. Here we picked 5" square navy and white tiles to expand a shared bathroom by using them on the sink wall around a window and then mirroring the shower at the other end of the bathroom. For the hall bathroom we chose green and white tiles 2 1/2" x 9". Stacked, they will give the small space breathing room. The master bathroom is very simple index card size crackle brown tiles, lining the shower. Clean, elegant, timeless. What Jackie does so very well is take your tile picks and find the most amazing floor tile that has companion 2" shower floor tiles. Every bathroom becomes coordinated without the matchy, matchy look. We leave the grout selection solely up to her. Jackie is very knowledgeable about the products. She has suggestions and opinions that are geared towards making your finished project that you imagined in your mind a reality. My contractor has a tile store he works with in Boston but Ideal has an amazing wide range of products for any style home. I would not go anywhere else. read more

Initial interactions were very positive - lots of selections and loved the design approach. However, the "we install everything we sell" bit might be amended with, "but don't plan on it being right, efficient or accurate." And certainly don't plan on timely communications! Vanity painted the wrong color, not enough tile ordered, several issues with the design - installation process, to the point where what I ended up with is NOT what we had agreed upon. I have another bathroom to do and I will be going somewhere else. read more

This was a great experience getting carpet for the whole house. Jackie was knowledgeable and made some excellent suggestions. She was able to give me quotes on a variety of flooring options including: hardwood, laminate and various types of carpet making the process easy. I also appreciated the fact they were able to complete the work around my time frame -- very professional. The rugs look great and I appreciated the communication on the installation process. The installation was a disaster from the beginning. They charged me $700 for underlayment and never installed it. The installer said he knew nothing about it and when I called the store they said the installer made the decision on site that it wasn't needed. The first of many lies. The installation left gaps all along the wall and cabinets. Little tiny filler pieces in the middle of the floor. The owner never returned my call until Visa agreed with my complaint and stopped payment. They had to redo the entire job. Initially they insisted, even though we asked several times, that the old floor didn't need to be removed. Well when they ripped up the floor they installed, there were TWO floors underneath, neither of which was glued down. Second installation was better, but every wall was nicked, scratched, and dented with their tools and the plywood they cut IN THE HOUSE, even though it was a beautiful day. Do yourself favor AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

We have used Ideal for 4 different jobs in 2 different houses. The work involved tile, ledger stone, sheet flooring and hardwood. In all cases we are extremely please with the quality of the materials and the professionalism of the jobs. From sales through final finish the staff has been top notch. read more

Bought carpet/padding for one room. Had issue with water proof padding delaminating, sounded like I was walking on plastic bags. Made countless calls and emails and no one would get back to me unless I was at my last wit threatening to rip it up and toss it on the show room floor. Finally after about 6 months they replaced the padding. Now there's a hard spot that squeaks in the pad. It's been about 3 months. Had appointment to fix, on a work day, and they never showed, never called. Lost a lot of money that day. They said their installer called out and they weren't aware!?!?Owner/CEO said they'd get on it to get it done. 2 weeks and still no contact back. They seem to love to sell sell sell to get your money but I feel bad for anyone who has an issue. Worst service I've ever experienced. read more

There were lots of quality issues per multiple other professionals including my general contractor - they refused to fix. Owner threatened me to complain about ME to my boss and have me fired for complaining (rural area where everyone knows each other). He even made me post a positive review to make up for what he said I did wrong. His salesperson, was great and tried to help, but owner was terrible. read more

For me, Ideal Floor made promises that were never kept, including the installation date and the quality of the work. It was an unpleasant experience since I needed the work done before my son's wedding. Promises made and promises broken. Done with their business and I definitely won't recommend this business! read more
