I am so incredibly grateful to have found Ideal Electrolysis and Roxy! Years ago, I had done laser hair removal on my face. I didn't have much hair on my face before but just a few hairs around my mouth and chin area and didn't want to get them waxed/threaded every few weeks. Unfortunately, I also got diagnosed with PCOS. PCOS along with the laser hair removal made my facial hair growth terrible and I started growing lots of hair on my face- and they were very thick and dark hairs. As I was going to school in Santa Barbara, I tried going to a few electrolysis clinics there, however, it was incredibly painful and my skin reacted terribly to it. I came to OC and found Roxy's business and I am so grateful. Roxy's electrolysis machine is a newer, more advanced machine that not only has given me such great results in a short period of time but has also not hurt/irritated my skin. Roxy has been incredibly kind and helpful through this difficult journey. She has also been so accommodating with my schedule as I was back and forth between Santa Barbara and Orange County. I'm sure that my hair would have been gone by now if I was able to go consistently, but unfortunately due to school that wasn't possible. However, my facial hair has not been as thick/growing as rapidly. read more

Roxan was very professional and knowledgeable! Has been helping me for the last few months and I'm seeing real results! I highly recommend her. read more

I adore Roxy! I have been dealing with chin hair, over lip hair, and neck hair all my life. Being Lebanese the genes are definitely strong but just after 10 sessions (1 hour each) with Roxy I'm seeing a HUGE difference. Lots of the darker hair haven't been coming back and if there are any they come back in a couple weeks versus within a day or two. Also lots of hair just hasn't grown back. It's been a great process. I've done laser for a full year for my whole body and face and the results were nothing compared to working with Roxy specifically on my face and neck. I have 12 more sessions with Roxy, so I'll do another update on how my face and neck looks after I finish the rest. But so far, it's been a great experience. I've been seeing lots of great results and Roxy has been nothing but flexible with her schedule and so professional and kind throughout the whole process. Patience is key here but just know it's worth it because you will see great results :) read more

Highly recommend this place, I was a pro cyclist and I did Laser treatment in the past and it left me with patches and weird hair growth. Now I can finally see that the areas that Roxy working on are really clear and the hair stops growing. read more

Electrolysis with Roxy literally changed my life. I had excessive facial hair growth that was triggered by laser hair removal I'd had done in my early 20s and I've been super self-conscious of it (I'm fair skinned with dark hair so it was noticeable if I didn't pluck or shave daily!). I chose to do a package with Roxy and started seeing a noticeable difference in my facial hair growth after about 5-6 sessions with her (so be patient! Haha). I'm on my 14th session now and I can go weeks without shaving my face and the hair growth is wayyyyy less than before. Roxy is clearly skilled at electrolysis and I finally feel like I can go out and not feel self-conscious about my face. I'm so grateful for the gift of a hairless face! Thanks, Roxy! read more

Ideal Electrolysis - Less hair after a month - Hair Removal Near Me - Laguna Niguel, California

See all

In college I started getting coarse chin hairs that eventually spread to my neck, so I plucked, waxed, shaved, etc for years, but it only got worse as time went on. A couple years ago, once I couldn't stand it anymore I decided to see to Roxy, and it has been life changing. I started with one hour sessions once a week for several months, then switched to every two weeks when the hair started growing back slower. Now, two years later, I'd say about 90% of the hair is gone. It would probably be gone completely by now but I had a baby a year ago which made it tougher to see Roxy as consistently. Luckily with the progress we have made I shave my face about once a week and that's all the upkeep I have to do between appointments. Before seeing Roxy I would've had to shave or pluck every day to not be embarrassed in public. As far as the process goes, it's not very painful, and the little pain there is is so worth it. Also, Roxy can set the machine to different levels depending on your pain threshold. We started out on a low setting and progressively went higher as I got more used to it. I usually have red bumps around my chin and neck for a day or two afterwards, but I'm able to hide most of it with makeup. It just looks light I have a little breakout, but again it's worth it for the long term benefits, and the thinner your hair gets the less red and bumpy you get afterwards. So if you're thinking about doing electrolysis I highly recommend it! It's the best investment I ever made. Just make sure you can commit to consistency, especially at the beginning. read more

This has changed my life! Be consistent and results will come! The studio is extremely clean and peaceful. And Roxy is there to meet your needs and help boost your confidence! read more

I wanted to go for a few appointments before leaving a review. Roxy is such a blessing and I'm so grateful to have found a sweet and honest person. My appointments are easily scheduled and she makes sure you're comfortable. They are painless and I would recommend you go this route instead of laser. It's a permanent hair removal and laser is not. It's a process and patience through that is important but well worth it. read more

hands down THE MOST competent electrologist around! I had been going to another local electrologist for years and had minimal improvements. After going to Roxy for a few months, I see better results already! She has the most advanced, least painful machine out on the market. The thing I love most about Roxy, is she's so easy to talk to. I forget i'm there for hair removal! It literally feels like seeing an old friend and picking up right where you left off! read more

I've been having electrolysis done with Roxy for a couple years now and I couldn't be happier with the results I've been getting! It's been so hard to deal with dark, course hair on my face & upper lip for so many years. Something I've always been so self conscious about... but not anymore! The results have been life changing. I can now go 5-6 wks between visits for touch ups. Such a relief to not stress about those pesky hairs anymore! Be patient and give the process time. You'll be thrilled with the results. Roxy is the best! Love her cute little space and relaxing music too! read more

Roxy is the very best! She is very professional and knowledgeable in her craft! I was growing random chin hairs and felt so defeated after all doctor labs came normal with the exception of my thyroid; I was diagnosed hypo/hashi. I thought my thyroid was the culprit of the those pesky hairs but after being on meds nothing changed. I did some research to see if permanent hair removal was even a thing and that's when I found the electrolysis method! Based on amazing reviews -no doubt- I knew I had to see Roxy! I have been going to her for a couple of years now, and she has worked on my chin, upper lip, and side burns. I see her weekly and have had amazing results! The key here is consistency and patience. Roxy is a total sweetheart, she truly cares about her clients. I always look forward to my visits with her. I highly recommend her, she is life changing! read more

Love my results and wish I would have started this sooner! I was hesitant because I thought it would be painful but I experience no pain. I am a baby with pain and can't handle much but this is surprisingly not painful! I would compare the feeling to plucking your eyebrows, but even less. Roxy is so gentle and careful I hardly feel a thing! Before Roxy my armpits were like chia pets. I used to get painful ingrown hairs and had to shave every other day or end up looking like I had velcro pits. Now I can go a week without shaving and no razor burn bumps! I'm impressed that my thick South American underarm hair is getting thinner and more sparse in many areas. Soon I will have zero hair there and unlike laser electrolysis results are permanent so it is worth the investment and time. Roxy is also a joy to be around. Her office is clean and so cozy. Thanks Roxy! read more

I would give 500 starts if I could. I have been doing laser hair removal since I was 16/17 years old. I am now 23. After 7 years I am still experiencing hair growth (Some areas have even been stimulated by laser in places where you would typically not find hair). I called Roxy one day and we immediately connected. She was able to get me in-between her long term clients/friends because she knew I was distressed and needed a change with my hair journey. Roxy advised me to stop in the trouble areas and that she would "fix" me. These damages were not her own and for her to take me on as a human and not a project truly did everything for me. My confidence has sky rocketed and I have already seen immense progress after a few sessions. This is a process that requires some patience and as someone who enjoys instant gratification, this process will reap rewards beyond what any other laser or hair removal gimmick out there. Connect with Roxy, your confidence and life will change... read more

I wanted permanent results, not laser. There are few Electrolysis professionals and it is not a cheap hair removal method. However, it works and it's permanent! Roxy is a great find. She's communicative, efficient, honest and makes you feel very comfortable. She works quickly so I get the most out of a 1/2 hour session. Worth it! read more

Three words: Roxy is amazing! I bought (6) 15 min packages on Groupon. I went in for the initial consultation and was sold! Roxy takes the time to explain the process and advises you accordingly. I had previously tried multiple sessions of laser, but it never really completely removed the hair. I decided to try Electrolysis for my lower legs and there has been a significant reduction of hair! It works! She has finite hand for detail and has a caring aura that spreads beyond her field of expertise! Roxy is a gem and everyone who has tried her or is going to, will come out feeling lighter and happier! read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! As a guy, I felt a little uncomfortable going to an electrolysis because this is usually a type of service that women seek, that I said I couldn't be more comfortable seeing Roxy! I felt self conscious cause of all the hair on my shoulders and back in the beginning when I first starting seeing her but Roxy made me feel right at home! Ive been seeing her about 1.5 years, she uses her experience to make sure you receive the right treatment for your hair type, etc. She is also very flexible and is accommodating to you for your schedule. I would be a little selfish in seeing her client base continue to grow cause it would mean I'd have to share her time with more clients! Hahah read more

Amazing!!! Roxy is a professional and knows what she is doing. She loves her clients and stops at nothing to make sure they are happy with the treatment they are receiving. She is accommodating and puts her clients first. And the results are top notch. It's never too late to start electrolysis, but the sooner the better bc your older self will thank you! read more

Roxy is the best! I waited years to do electrolysis because I was nervous about the pain, but I wish I did this years ago. It takes time and consistent appointments, but I definitely see results and couldn't be happier. I appreciate Roxy because on my first consultation she was very transparent about how the process works and how it takes commitment. She was not trying to push her business on me, if I wasn't willing to give her the time, it wasn't going to work. I'm glad that she emphasized this to me right off the bat and I'm even more glad that I went for it! Roxy has a super friendly and kind personality. Her machine is totally painless. Maybe I have a high pain tolerance, maybe not, but I honestly don't feel any pain. I'm a hairy woman with Italian roots, and was looking for any alternatives to my constant tweezing, shaving, bleaching, extremely irritated skin. So happy I found Roxy! Bonus note: She's very responsive to texts and willing to accomodate any change in appointment times as needed. read more

I've wanted to get electrolysis for years now but I procrastinated out of fear that it would hurt. Let me tell you, it doesn't! You hardly feel a thing and I'm usually a WIMP. Roxy makes sure that it's actually a very calm and relaxing experience. I could easily fall asleep and take a nap while I'm there I've had 7 sessions so far and see AMAZING progress. I'm so grateful that I now know that magic that is electrolysis. Roxy is very communicative about results. If any part of you is considering it...take the plunge! This is a preliminary review because I have only had 3 treatments with Roxy so far, who by the way is a total doll. She's pretty hip and is really responsive to texts if you have any questions about after care, and by responsive, I mean within minutes usually. Big plus, because everyone reacts differently to electrolysis, and it's comforting that the person preforming your procedures actually cares about you and how you're healing. I would like to come back an update my review as I progress through my treatment, because who am I kidding? That's what we're alI here for right? 3 treatments: I was told that I damaged some of my roots due to plucking, so these initial treatments have helped open the roots up for easier clearance by the zap zap. I don't know what that needle thing is called that jolts you, but trust me, it's not as bad as the internet makes it seem. I actually have fallen asleep at least once. While I still have a many treatments to go, I have noticed that the hair is starting to grow back thinner and Roxy has even said she is noticing some baldness. FNo matter how slight, progress is progress! Check back for updates! read more

I just wanted to give a nice update. It has been 3 months and I have to say, my results have been amazing. I cannot tell you how nice it is to look in the mirror when I am driving and not be so critical and troubled, and having to be a slave to those hair creams anymore! I have grown to absolutely LOVE Roxy, not only for the thorough and incredible job she has done and continues to do, but the genuine care, loving experience, and personal friendship that she has provided and that has blossomed as I have came each week, slowly achieving the results I never thought possible. What a glorious process it has been as she is there each step of the way, providing laughter, encouragement, and a warm spirit to walk into every time. She is truly one of a kind and I don't think you could put a price on what she provides on top of the electrolysis! Oh, the bottled water and chocolate is something I look forward to every time! :) Book your appointment! read more

Roxy is amazing! Before I went in 2 different women told me the pain I would be going through. I braced myself for the worst and got none! The most discomfort I felt was like a tiny static zing at times. I had no signs afterwards except a few tiny bumps which went away after just a few hours and literally 3 microscopic pore size scabs. I recommend her wholeheartedly. She's very skilled and super sweet. The place is very nice and she plays relaxing music. Loving the lack of hair under my brows! read more

Roxy is fabulous! She is knowledgable, gentle and a kind person. Don't be afraid of the pain... she has a great machine and technique to make the process very tolerable. Don't waste time with laser or waxing, these both can do damage to the skin and aren't permanent results. If you are thinking about doing electrolysis, let this be a sign to move forward! You wont regret it. read more

I have gone to Roxy for several months. She is friendly. However, she is very unprofessional. Every single session she has stopped what she is doing to text or a few times even answered a phone call. This is very rude and unhygienic. She wears gloves which is great, except when she is touching her dirty phone multiple times it defeats the purpose. I have also had 3 times where she has double booked my appointment. Not cool. read more

Roxy is AMAZING!!! Her studio is beautiful & very professional. I felt extremely comfortable and she's very accommodating. She completely understood my goals and insecurities and has done a wonderful job! Very hygienic also- surprisingly a lot of other people I had tried before I was blessed to find her- were not!!!! She uses the latest technology and will have you leaving feeling like a new women! Electrolysis is truly the only real hair removal and I've only been 3 times with Roxy and already I see enormous changes! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional, safe and long term results! read more

I recently (early 20's) starting noticing coarse hairs around my chin/jawline (I'm a blonde) that were growing in very dark and thick and thus looked like blackheads. Oftentimes the hair became ingrown and would cause acne. After a friend told me electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal, and that laser wouldn't work on my blonde peach fuzz, I did some research and found Roxy so conveniently near my office. From day 1 Roxy has been willing to work around my crazy schedule (appointments at lunch, early morning Saturday's and weekdays.) She is truly a magician; in about 10 hours (persistence is key!) I am 90% hair free and my skin has never been more soft. Roxy is gentle, yet meticulous and is dedicated to providing the best results at a really competitive price. Edit: About 20 hours completed with Roxy and I have never been more happy or confident. My acne is non existent and I see Roxy for minor touch ups on my chin/jawline. I have some small red marks (which used to be way worse when I picked and plucked!) but I use vitamin E oil to help. The best part is seeing the results are real and permanent. I can't wait to start on other areas! read more

Roxy is amazing!!! I drive one hour each way (without traffic) just to see her! Prior to coming to Roxy I went to two other places for electrolysis. My experience at other places was painful and uncomfortable to the point that I no longer wanted to continue with electrolysis! I am SO glad I found Roxy! My experience with her from the very beginning was awesome! I sent her an inquiry over YELP, she responded to me immediately and the next thing I knew we were on the phone. She educated me on electrolysis and answered my many questions and addressed all of my concerns. She was so kind and patient with me! I booked a consultation with her and our first meeting was awesome! She was so positive, upbeat and just great to work with. And trust me- when doing electrolysis you want someone you feel confident and comfortable with! She is always so careful with me- I have extremely sensitive skin and I really feel like she truly cares about my skin and my results- with other places I felt like they could care less about how my skin reacted to the treatments. The previous place I went to was so painful that I would have tears coming out of my eyes, but with Roxy I literally am so relaxed that sometimes I even fall asleep!!! I started out just with the underarm area but after my first few sessions with Roxy I decided to also do my upper lip, eyebrows, and other portions of my face! Roxy's place is so clean and relaxing! I always look forward to my appointments with her! Her work is the best and her personality is just so fun and she is just great to be around! I have been going to Roxy for just over 2 months and my results so far are FANTASTIC!! Come see Roxy- trust me, you will NOT be disappointed!! read more

I should have done this years ago! The key is patience and consistency. Roxy has been working on my chin and upper lip once a week for a few months now and I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! The great thing is that it's PERMANENT. I have tweezed, waxed, shaved laser, epilator, hair removal creams... don't waste your time and money. Save up for electrolysis and be done with it for good. read more

Roxy is great! As a trans person finding someone who is accepting and comfortable to be around is great! She has always treated me with respect and kindness! It takes time...but with consistency you will see results. Roxy is very busy so you need to book in advance. She is so busy because she uses the best equipment and knows what she is doing. She is covered from head to toe in protective gear. Thank you Roxy for caring about the safety of your clients! read more

If you're like me, you've tried everything possible for hair removal including laser. Nothing worked! I've heard of electrolysis 12 years ago but was always afraid that it would hurt worse than laser but today I took the plunge. IT DIDN'T HURT AT ALL! Roxy is amazing, super sweet and my two hours flew by too quick....I could have done 2 more! Her suite is located inside number 9 of Angel's Beauty Supply and Salon Suites, is very clean and modern, and has such a great energy flow. I know that is because Roxy is such a happy, positive, professional Electrologist. She's precise and gets each hair from the root. Today was my first session, but I loved it! I've been going to Roxy for about 5 weeks now and I am so pleased with the results. Before finding electrolysis, I did laser hair removal thinking that I would have permanent hair loss. But no, after 8 months of doing laser, my hair came back. It was much thiner but I still had hair. After 5 weeks doing electrolysis consistently, my hair in the areas we have treated so far is not growing back. Roxy is very professional and lets me know every time the process and what to expect (actual real expectations). I would highly recommend! read more
