Since old houses are puzzles- putting a new kitchen in that looks like it had been there since the house was built- but has all the modern amenities was my goal. Dan McFadden and his team at Past Basket created an award winning kitchen for me that looks like it was part of the original house. The glass in the cabinets is wavy and old, the pulls on the doors worn looking, the armoire that hides my refrigerator and the cabinets that hide the modern day appliances all are functional as well as beautiful. No detail is too small for this team- in fact- they did such a good job on the kitchen- I also had them make the cabinetry for the family room as well as the master bathroom. They even solved my makeup lighting problem in the bathroom by creating lights that mimic the makeup counters at fine stores. They are also the only dealer for La Cornue stoves in the area. Once I saw one of these french works of stove art- I just knew it would be the centerpiece for my kitchen. Custom cabinetry may not be for everyone.
