Adrian took very good care of us with an issue for our rental condo in the South Loop. We had a outside GFCI burn out very badly, believed to be from weather exposure. This shorted out all inside electrical in living room of our rental unit. We live out of state and our tenant works 12 hour shifts at the hospital. The most significant element of the project was the installation of an exterior light over the garage and the replacement of several switches. Asp came out to take a look at the project before quoting. I had ordered the light fixture from a "bricks & mortar" company,and it took two weeks to arrive. What takes two weeks shipping anymore? Asp came out within two days of my picking-up the fixture and completed the work in a professional manner and cleaned-up the debris. The electrician wore a mask in my presence and when in the house. We had an issue at home with our power outlets along two walls on a Saturday. I found ASP on Yelp and gave them a call. I spoke with Adrian and explained the situation, and he was in our home assessing the issue within 24 hours on a Sunday. We engaged ASP Electrical to correct a myriad of electrical issues in our older home upon move in. While most of the work was completed, the organization and communication was certainly lacking. A single day job spread across multiple, non-sequential days. Additionally, technicians would arrive and ask about the work that was required, even though a detailed bid outlined the scope of work to be performed. After demanding payment as if the job was completed, we realized there were a couple of items remaining that weren't finished. We have contacted Adrian several times to notify him of the incomplete / remaining work, but have not been contacted. There are plenty other reputable, trustworthy electricians out there to better direct your time and investment. read more

I've had 3 ceiling fans just sitting in their boxes in a closet waiting to be installed-for an embarrassingly long time, but I didn't have an electrician. Decided to check Yelp and see if I could get a few quotes. Adrian replied immediately with what ended up being BY FAR the lowest price I was quoted. They arrived precisely on time and got all 3 ceiling fans installed in less than an hour (removing the old ones as well). Adrian never showed up to an appointment on a date and time that he suggested. I worked remotely in order to make this appointment work. He wrote me on Yelp, asking to change the appointment. I told him I was not able to do it, as I had already taken off of work and planned to work remotely. This was on the day of the scheduled work. He hung up on me when I tried to verify that he would show up. When I called him back, he told me would show up, but would be 20 minutes late. ASP Electrical was a great company to work with. I needed to install four different light fixtures in my apartment. I contacted them and they came in the same day to give me an estimate. We scheduled installation for the following week, the guys arrived on time, they were very polite and professional. Adrian was here to repair some can lights that were sliding out of the ceiling and to install two dimmer switches. Where to start. First, these guys never showed up when they said they would. My mother in law waited around until they finally did show. Asked for the money up front and got it. They never even finished the work. Apparently don't know how to deal with old Chicago buildings. The owner said he'd come back to finish the job because he needed a second man. Left the work half done. Broken up plaster and dust everywhere. Never came back on the agreed upon date. Didn't return any of her calls. We waited for three hours. Now three days later, still not a peep. This truly deserves a quarter of a star. But Yelp won't let me. read more
