We haven't had much interaction with contractors (I've taken care of most everything we ever needed repaired or replaced) so we did our due diligence by the book. Of the three quotes we received Steve's was neither the highest nor lowest. References checked out very nicely. I've been in the CNC machine tool business for nearly 20 years and construction for several years prior. I've seen literally hundreds of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional installations during that time and Steve's workmanship is among the best I've encountered but what really distinguished Steve from the others is his attentiveness. We always received prompt, thorough and accurate responses to all our questions and requests. Even after a long hard day's work, Steve was happy to instruct us in detail on operation of the system. His explanations were clear and consise, easy to understand. He left the jobsite neat, clean and orderly on departure. Prompt, courteous, professional and personable. We could not be more pleased with the results and are happy to say we recommend his services without reservation and will be pleased to use him again. Truly outstanding performance. Sadly, there is a downside to this experience: his services will likely to be in far greater demand next time around so may be a while before we can get him on site. It will be worth the wait.

They gave me something that I desperately needed. TIME! To make a long story short, my husband and I purchased a 1930's brick bungalow 11 years ago. Being naive, it was the vintage Chambers Stove that won us over. We've had to constantly upgrade, refinish, redo, and remodel. We remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago around this vintage stove. At that time, we were willing to live without a dishwasher. I wasn't willing to sacrifice storage space in place of a dishwasher. I have never had a dishwasher in my life, it didn't seem to be a necessity. Fast forward to today. I have my own OCD foodie. He's 4 years old and refuses to use the same utensils for foods that are sweet or salty. Dishes were piling up, and I felt as if I was constantly washing dishes. Stuff didn't feel clean. After spending a few afternoons at a friend's house, playing with her dishwasher, and fearing the hoarding habits that run rampant in both of our families, the time had come. I really didn't need to have 4 junk drawers or a cabinet full of misc pans that were never used. We bought a dishwasher. Had no idea that they would not install it if there was not an old one in place. We called a friend for a quote; he promised that he would try to install it for us in a few weeks. That box sat in my kitchen for almost a month. I hate to wait. I sent inquiries through Service Magic, and called several contractors on Yelp. Maintenance Made Easy called me immediately. Bonus, they were able to come within the week. These guys are incredible. I needed to have the plumbing and electrical pulled in order to have a dishwasher. I also needed to have the cabinets and drawers removed. This was not an easy task due to the layout of our kitchen. It could not go alongside the sink as each cabinet was barely 17 inches wide. The only place that it could be put was around the corner, under the counter almost 4 feet away. I liked that Bill and his worker put thought into it, that they did not just give me what I wanted to get the job. They measured, they did their homework. They had to make sure that the discharge tube would not back up due to the distance. The job that they did was incredible. They also retrofit a small cabinet for me to slide in baking tins and cutting boards with the extra space. I am so happy and thrilled to have a dishwasher that I could scream. The time that it has given me is priceless. I will not use any other contractor other than Maintenance Made Easy. They are the best and they are fair. They are also quick, clean, and great guys to have around. P.S. Imagine having Ray Liotta and Lloyd Bridges doing work at your house. My husband didn't think that it was funny, but I got a kick out of it.

We ultimately went with Clar Electric out of 3 well reviewed electricians even though they weren't the cheapest because of their great reviews, but also because Jamie communicated with us so well in emails. It's hard to explain, but he seemed trustworthy and a person of integrity :) From the beginning to the very end, even during the holiday season, Clar Electric was awesome. And their electricians, Phil and Dan were so great at communicating, really friendly and kind. Clar Electric most definitely deserves the highest rating, and we would recommend to our family and friends :)

My 1914 bungalow has a finished basement from the 1950s that I wanted to update with new lighting…read more We ripped down the drywall ceiling, had the exposed beams painted, and Sean from AML worked with me to add new track lighting, put the existing sconces on one switch, and fix some of the outlets that weren't working. He was even able to add a new outlet in my kitchen where I never had one before - which will make such a huge difference. Of course I picked out annoying light fixtures that required Sean to be inventive with how he installed them, and they turned out perfect. He even helped me to select the right type of light bulbs to make sure I got the look I wanted. I was impressed with how easy it was to connect with Sean over text for scheduling, and each time he came out he was always on time and had all the supplies he needed to get the job done. And he didn't even hassle me when I wanted everything on dimmers, the way other electricians have done in the past! If you've put off projects - whether they are big or small - because you weren't sure who to hire, just contact AML. It's a family-owned company, and I was extremely impressed with their work and would definitely hire them again. My basement has gone from being dark and depressing to a room I will now love spending time in, which I guess is good since I never go anywhere now! ;-)
