She left us with paint swatches for all three rooms, and the new colors look incredible. Dawn's color consultation more than exceeded our expectations, but she didn't stop there! She also suggested ways to update the kitchen and dining room lighting to be more functional and coordinated. Her after-visit email summary included links to all of the ideas she had offered, including multiple options for fixtures that were very affordable and perfect for our spaces. We love the new lighting. A friend heard good things about KB&B so I made an appointment and met with Kim. I cannot say enough positive comments about her. She took the time to listen to what we wanted, looked at pics of our current bathroom, and was very direct with what could and could not be done given our dimensions and budget. She was very professional and we left the store confident we were headed in the right direction. Mario (owner) came out a few days later to measure and take pics. He was professional and also straight to the point. The quote was a bit higher than we had hoped, but we felt good about the design and items we selected. Items were ordered and Kim kept us updated on their status since it was several months before they could even start constructions. Once they started, we realized why they cost a little more than the average Joe contractor. Every contractor (4 different guys) were each phenomenal. They treated our home like it was theirs. They were all very clean, very detailed, and they ended up doing a few extra repairs outside of the contract (with my permission). Kris was the main contractor and was here the most and I would give him more than 5 stars. The painter is expertly skilled and I can't tell where the drywall repairs were done. The crew also was very careful around our dogs and didn't leave any doors open. The final project exceeded our expectations. We noticed a few paint touch ups that were needed and Mario sent someone out - a week after the job was done and the check was cashed. They all take pride in their work and I feel really wanted to do whatever they could to have me as a satisfied customer. Make an appointment, rather than just walking in - Kim is busy. Bring in pics and measurements if you can to help her out. They won't be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I would hire KB&B again and encourage everyone reading this to check them out.

I originally inquired about a onetime consultation since my floor plan was done and contractor was already hired. I was advised that I needed more of Gaby's time since it was such a large project. I was renovating my primary bedroom, adding a primary bath, closet and bathroom to my historic home. The quality of Gaby's work is excellent however she is a terrible communicator and spent our money recklessly. She spent hours on drawings that I did not need and charged me thousands of dollars. I trusted her because she came recommended and this was the first time, I had done a project like this. When I asked my contractor about his communication with Gaby, he had very minimal. I asked him about the drawings she did and said he did not need any drawings, that he and I had covered all the specifics. I immediately let Gaby know that the drawings she charged me for were not needed and she refused to give my money back. She did these drawings without asking anyone if they were needed. She then gave me a hard time about giving me my retainer back. I also overheard her talking negatively about some of my choices when she failed to hang up after our zoom call.
