I'm so happy I found IDB Construction. I worked with Josh and Rachel, and after getting quotes from four different companies, they not only offered the most reasonable pricing but also gave me the most confidence. When we first met, I immediately felt that Josh was extremely knowledgeable. He clearly understands and respects the structure of the house, and I really appreciated his honesty. If something wasn't possible, he told us right away, and if it was doable, he explained exactly how and what to expect. Both Josh and Rachel were incredibly easy to communicate with, always responsive, and they finished the job much faster than I expected. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and completely stress-free. I'm really glad we chose them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable contractor. read more

I did not actually use this contractor, but wanted to leave a positive note due to my interactions with them. I was looking for quotes for my dad's rebuild after a fire and found the on yelp. I reached out and Josh and Rachel responded really quickly. They went out to my dad's house and gave me an estimate. I've never worked with a contractor before so I had this mindset that I was just going to be lied to and I shouldn't trust any of them (I know! I feel horrible saying it). But they got back to me with a quote within the week and was very honest. They let me know that they could not beat the current contractor that was in the lead for the project. They could have lied to get the project but they didn't. I really appreciated their honesty and quick communication! read more

Earlier this year, my wife, Gracie and I agreed to focus on the task of renovating two of the bathrooms in our Laguna Niguel home. In October, we acquired a loan with decent terms from an established lender, which allowed us to begin the process of soliciting remodeling bids. After doing some preliminary research on contractors who'd recently completed bathroom projects, we asked three companies each one with positive reviews, to provide us with formal bids for our two-bathroom project. After carefully evaluating input from each of the firms on our short list, we confidently elected to go with IDB Construction. In all honesty, a major consideration, aside from the positive reviews that steered us to hire IDB was the attractive proposal they offered us, which was more cost-effective, overall, than the other two bids we received. IDB's bid noted that they would provide all necessary labor to include, demo existing bathrooms, installation of all selected hardware, plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, wall covering as needed, and painting. The contract specified that we would be responsible for procuring materials of our choice and that IDB would be responsible for installing same. A key concession IDB made to us was that they would pass on 100% of their contractor's license discount to us when we'd purchase from any of their long list of suppliers. This was truly invaluable to us when it came time to evaluate quality vs the cost of goods purchased, as we moved toward project completion, in early December. IDB Construction's owner/operators, Joshua and Rachel, were a true pleasure to work with and surprisingly amenable, with Gracie and I as we continued to collaborate with one another during the entire length of our project. Another attribute of Joshua's personality, which truly impressed me, was the empathy and understanding he displayed not only with my wife and I, but also with his workers. I gained increased respect for Joshua as time went on, appreciating not only his technical knowledge as a seasoned contractor but his easy-going manner and transparency, as well. Joshua never hesitated to provide straightforward input to me and staff, alike, whenever he felt it was necessary to solve what could become a serious problem or counteract a mistake that occurred as we progressed through the various phases of our project. In the end, such problems were extremely rare, from what I observed. Gracie and I remain 100% satisfied with the results of our two beautiful bathrooms. We recommend IDB Construction to anyone looking for help with a home or business-related project. Feel free to contact us if you'd like to hear more about our wonderful experience with Joshua and Rachel. Gracie and John A. Martinez read more

We recently decided to do an extensive remodel of our home, an exciting proposition, but also one that brought a lot of stress. Deciding on and hiring a contractor is a huge and difficult decision, especially during a time when there are at least a few residential construction projects going on on every single block of our neighborhood, and they can easily afford to turn down work. I dealt with the stress by doing a lot of research and coming up with a good list of prospects. Some of the contractors were a bit arrogant, and some were ridiculously overpriced. Somehow the contractor I got the best character impression from also offered the best quality and most reasonable bid, and that was Isaac and IDB. From the outset, Isaac and Devorah have been very accessible, honest and fully transparent every step of the way. Isaac and his crew have always fulfilled their promises both in the work and the cost, if not regularly exceeding them. Of course, there have pitfalls and surprises, which they have handled gracefully communicating quickly and clearly and offering good options to manage them. Isaac takes full responsibility for IDB's work and is deeply committed to making us happy. I especially appreciate that he has been diligent at reporting progress regularly, even if there isn't any due to rain (of which there has been quite a lot!), or permitting challenges. I like lots of communication! IDB has truly been the ideal contractor, and Isaac and Devorah are really good people - decent, sincere and honest. I am so grateful to have found them and have really enjoyed working with them and getting to know them. Thank you IDB! read more

This is my first time having a major renovation done. I have heard horror stories about contractors and projects going terribly wrong but thankfully I chose the right contractor to take on my project. We spoke to 6 different contractors before choosing IDB, they were the only ones that included everything that we wanted done that fit our budget. Isaac also responds quickly to all my texts and phone calls which is a luxury in this day and age. He is straight forward with his answers and doesn't waste time. And before deciding on how I wanted things done he always gave me options that would better functionality and flow throughout my home. read more

It was a lucky break to find IDB. A family owned company that cares about service and communication. Every step of the way Isaac and Devorah were available to discuss the process. The price was reasonable and the concrete work was beautifully done. We now have a classy update on our old living room thanks to IDB! read more

I joined Yelp to write this review. Ben and Ultimate Installation Services are so far beyond as good as it gets, they are the best of the best! They are SIMPLY THE BEST! I cannot recommend this place enough. Fantastic. Amazing. Awesome. Incredible. I had my new 55' TV delivered and needed someone to mount it to my living room wall and to remove the old TV and it's old mount. I had been recommended another guy and company, and when I tried to get them on the phone, they told me they wouldn't be available for a week, so I decided to go find my own guy and turned to Yelp, and Ultimate Installation Services was a gift from the home theater installation gods. I called and the amazingly nice woman called me right back within 30 seconds and told me that Ben would be able to come by within 15 minutes...that night! He showed up within 10 minutes, took the old TV down and had the new TV on the wall, working perfectly and looking perfect, all within 20 minutes. I cannot recommend Ultimate Installation Services enough! 10 out of 5 stars. This place and these guys are as good as it gets, if not better. They are amazing, awesome, and incredible at the same time. Ben was so professional, kind, courteous, and trust worthy that when I move away from LA, I am seriously debating calling him and having him come to wherever I move, whether its next door or across the country, so he can re-install my TV's. I don't think I can trust anyone else but Ben and Ultimate Installation Services with installing my TV! read more

I would like to share my photos and write a recommendation for IDB and their entire crew as they went above and beyond from start to finish...they answered and addressed every issue and solved many problems that everyone else ignored...the workmanship and blends of colors they put together with the house existing design was carefully selected and matched perfectly, not to mention their prices were distinctoy lower then everyone else...very clean job site and cleanup with extreme care for dust and debris...now my entire family is very happy and excited about the new bathrooms and we will definitely work with IDB again in the near future to remodel our kitchen and convert our garage and install a new bathroom. 5 stars!!! read more

IDB Construction - new vanity sink and plumbing all matching - General Contractors Near Me - Los Angeles, California

My wife and I remodeled our new home starting in January of 2020. We were due in March and we had a serious deadline to move into our newly remodeled home. I met with six different contractors and companies from big corporate outfits to small mom and pop shops. We chose IDB because there was something about Isaac that we trusted. My wife said, of all the people we met with I feel like if I were going into labor, Isaac would bring me to the hospital. From the beginning, he was a understanding, considerate, communicative and Easy going. Every crew that worked on our home was pleasant and respectful. So much to the fact that our neighbors have utilized their services as well. March came and so did Covid. The IDB crew was respectful, masked and just so easy to work with. I feel like it's my duty to recommend IDB to anyone in the market for construction of any sort. I wouldn't want I work with anyone else ever again. Needless to say, we were beyond pleased with the end results. read more

Issac and his team at IDB are amazing! I had three bathrooms remodeled and they did an incredible job. They were professional, prompt, and they made things as easy as possible, while dealing with construction in our home. We'll definitely hire them again for anything we may do in the future! They do it all! read more

That was really a pleasure to work with Isaac. One of my friends was going to open a beauty salon in Beverly Hills. So before signing a lease agreement they want to know how much would it cost to do interior remodeling. Because the project itself was very complex based on the interior design that we had. I called Isaac on Friday at about 5 pm asking to stop by as soon as possible. I would say just that I called maybe like 10 general contractors that serve Beverly and all of them sai:d "you know, we don't like commercial projects especially in Beverly". That was kind of weird for me but anyway. I called Isaac and I asked him for a huge favor to stop by on Sunday. and even at that time, I wasn't able to get into the unit since we didn't have the key :) that was crazy. But Isaac agreed to stop by and help me out. The unit itself is on the first floor facing towards the main street with huge glass windows so we met next to the entrance and I had the interior design on my laptop. Just standing outside looking through the glass window we discussed the whole project step by step marking the key questions of the project that could affect budget or terms. I don't think there are many contractors who would do that. anyway. based on our conversation we come up with a rough budget. And again you have to understand that any rough budget means +/-25% to the final price. I was ok with that since I wanted to know if it is 100k project or 500k :) The next thing that I really appreciate is that Isaac explained to me what can go wrong with the city since we have to approve a lot of paperwork and blueprints. There were a lot of issues with plumbing since there was parking under the unit. To sum up. Its not that often that you enjoy talking to contractors without the feeling that they are trying to get your project no matter what and then just raise the price during the construction. read more

We love our new bathroom that Isaac and his team did for us. We needed a complete demo and replacement. Isaac knocked on our door by mistake. He had an appointment 2 doors down, and I am so glad he did! He just has the nicest smile and personality, but he is very well certified and knowledgeable as well. We had some set backs with a cracked vanity top that we needed to replace. That added a lot of time. But, Isaac was always available to talk to us even after he and his wife had their 4th baby! We also did new cabinets in the bathroom and linen closet in the hallway. They are so beautiful!! I highly recommend Isaac and IDB construction Co. read more

About three months ago Isaac remodeled our bathroom! From the first moment I met him I felt comfortable with him like I could trust him with my eyes closed! He went over every detail that I could possibly think of. He was very patient with me as I'm very picky and I ask a million questions and change my mind a million times. The bathroom is a dream come true! The quality is high end material. And I couldn't be happier! Oh also, the job was done really quickly compared to other experiences I've had with remodeling in the past! He isn't the cheapest but he is definitely not the most expensive. I think it's important to know he is very detailed! Thank you so much for your wonderful work Isaac and his staff! read more

Ultimate Installation Services installed security cameras at our home and did a fab job. Debbie was super professional and on it with her communication. We wanted to have install done in somewhat short notice and they said that although they couldn't promise anything, they'd try their best to accommodate. They gave us a fair price and had such an organized team we felt confident choosing them over other estimates we were considering. One day ahead of schedule, Ben and the guys came in and got us set up. They were also very professional and patient. They took their time making sure the units were set up logically and neatly. The cameras look great and round out our existing security measures nicely. It's so awesome to be able to view our cameras live on our smart phones or review past footage any time we want piece of mind. Thanks, guys! We'll call you back when we are ready to revamp our AV set-up. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from UIS. Ben was very accommodating, quick, & professional. He was able to come out to wall mount my TV the next day. Before I knew it the TV was mounted , & the cables were ran through the wall. Ben made sure that all my preferences/settings were in order before he cleaned up and headed out. I would not hesitate to use their services again. Thanks Ben! read more

These guys were great! We had a unique situation. Our master bedroom was built on to the back of our house in the seventies, and for some reason, the people who did it didn't remove the window that used to look over the backyard...but after the room was built, just looked into the room. Basically, a window between 2 rooms. We finally decided to do something about it, and we thought that it would be nice to remove the window, plaster up the wall, and mount a TV on that wall. That meant that we had to find someone who knew about construction and media installation. We thought we'd have to find two different companies to handle it, but luckily, Ultimate Installation Services could do the whole thing. I was a little nervous because they quoted us a (very reasonable) price over the phone just based on my sending them a few pictures. I was afraid that they might come in and then say: "Oh no, this actually won't work." But, Ben and an assistant came, (on time to the actual minute) and within a few hours, they had removed the window, secured the opening with 2'x4's, installed new dry wall on each side, plastered up the cracks (so we could sand and paint once it dried), installed our TV with an included swivel mount and even did us the favor of drilling holes for our internet cable (which used to go through the open window that they removed). Awesome work! Thanks guys! Would definitely recommend and use again. :) read more

What a great job! I had just bought a new 48 inch Screen and really didn't want to bother with drilling and mounting etc. I heard about them through a friend that used them before and decided to give it a try. The technician Itzik was super friendly and did a wonderful job mounting the tv and perfectly balancing it. He was also able to connect my home theater speakers system that I had for few months but was never able to connect with my old tv and the nicest thing was that he didn't even want to charge me for that which was a nice surprise. Bottom line is that if you are in need of any installation job and looking for someone professional without braking your pockets call these guys and get it done fast and efficient with a great smile and service. read more

These guys were perfect. Unlike other companies who just give random estimates over the phone and then sea in hidden fees, these guys were straight up about everything from the get go. It was a fair and reasonable price and even though my place ended up being extra tricky (the walls were insanely arranged on the inside during the concealment process) they stuck to the original design and price! Everything was concealed as planned and the guys were professional about the techniques they used to make it happen. This is my third move in LA and my third set of installers. These are the best and I'll never use anyone else! read more

Hired Isaac for a loft remodel and it turned out great! He's trustworthy and reliable. I thought his prices were reasonable and workmanship was very good. Could not have had a better experience with this company. I needed 3 security cameras in our warehouse swapped out for a better model and another camera relocated. Also needed more memory added to our DVR. I called and spoke to Ben and told what we needed and what we had. Ben advised me on the most cost effective way to get the job done and quoted a very competitive price after doing a little research. Not only did Ben do the work I requested he went above and beyond by adjusting the focus and cleaning some of our other cameras without extra charge. Ben is very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and professional. He even came with me to buy the security cameras I needed. It was an all day job, maybe longer than expected and the original price quote never changed. I would highly recommend this company and Ben. I'm so happy with them I'm planning on having Ben came out to my house to mount a flat screen and hook up my home theater. read more

Although most of the reviews for IBD have been positive, I don't feel that way at all. I had contacted them to arrange for a time to get an estimate on work I wanted done. The only times we could meet, required me to make plans to leave my office early (I had to find someone to cover for me). I got home in time for our 4:00 appointment and waited for them. After an hour, nobody showed up and their office was closed. I didn't even receive a message or a phone call explaining what had happened. After all I had went through to be home on time, I was very disappointed in their disrespect. If they can't even show up for an estimate when they said they would, why would I want them working on my house? They were a complete waste of my time and very unprofessional. read more

We had security camera installed in December 2014. Few hours after they left, one of the camera stopped working. We called them and few days later one of the technician came to fix it. He went into attic and fixed the loose connection. Few hours after he left, it stopped working again!. Called back and was told that they don't give any warranty on installation and blamed our camera system!! I was told that we will show up to fix if we are in the area...I am still waiting...Also they left wires hanging and not properly secured for 4 cameras installed outside of our home. After last visit to fix our camera, we also noticed crack in our ceiling below attic.. We are getting this fixed ourselves. We chose them to install our cameras based on reviews found on Yelp...But we were dead wrong... read more

I selected ultimate installation services for a security camera install based upon the high yelp rating score. I am very disappointed. I don't feel that I got a quality installation or the value that I was expecting. They were not the lowest price quotes I got but I went with them based upon my perceived level of expertise that they had. The field of view of the cameras are not what they should be. They do walk around and ask you where you want the cameras. They will put them there without saying anything even if that isn't a good location. Also felt that i got unfairly upcharged. Be very careful on this. I thought everything was upfront and clear going into it, turns out no. Like the other reviews, they were very polite and helpful over the phone, came on-time, and were accommodating. The bottom line is that I would not hire them again based upon the poor selection of camera locations (field of view), the lack of value (they told me it was an all day job during the quote, they were at the house in 4 hours), and the upcharging. read more
