My 2000 Lincoln…read moreContinental had severe overheating issues which were caused by a leaky head gasket which let air into the closed coolant system resulting in constant air locks blocking the coolant flow. This became exaggerated when head gasket sealants were used as a quick fix and plugged off the radiator and the coolant passages in the engine block. After numerous overheating events of the engine, I was ready to take the car to the "car grave". But Tom talked me into trying to salvage the car. Tom explained that the engine (4.6 L Intech V8 engine) was one of the better engines built, and with the car in relatively good shape it may be worth it to evaluate the salvage ability of the car. So, they tore apart the engine, and Tom came up with an ingenious way to dissolve the "engine repair" blockage in the coolant passages in the engine block from the stop leak chemicals. After rebuilding the engine and replacing the head gasket properly (one had been improperly replaced in the recent past) and replacement of the radiator and the water pump, they returned my car to me in excellent working order. It cruises on the highway and maintains a steady low temperature after miles of highway driving. I must mention I don't think I could have found another mechanic which I could trust to work on this complex engine and get good results. And Tom did the work for a reasonable cost, but it did take extended time with the complexity of the fix. I also appreciated him taking the time to explain to me what issues he was facing in this challenge.

I called Tom Tillitson in the beginning of February when the motor blew in my Jeep and said I had…read moreit listed for sale, no title for parts and it had 2k worth the brand new tires and he said he would buy it. He told me it would be a week or two to get the cash together to not have that happen. He wanted to chase down the title as my Jeep was in my son's name and that if he was able to get it he would be able to buy it outright and not have to part it out himself because he wanted to rebuild it into a toy. This was not the deal, he was suppose to buy it himself to part out or find another 4x4 and trade for a vehicle and cash, he did not honor the agreement. Each week turned into a month and then still four months later, every promise he made that he was waiting for money or that his house closed and he was then waiting for that money to cash me out never happened. Everytime he said he'd call me back, he didn't or if I called her send me to his voicemail and then after leaving messages, he'd still not call and my texts went unanswered as well. If I was lucky enough to get him on the phone, it was one promise after another and he never honored the agreement we had, instead he started changing the terms without me being in agreement and now he's basically screwed me out of a One of A Kind Jeep. Because I got upset after 4 months of continued runaround, he tells me now I'm responsible for the towing to get the Jeep to his shop and for an engine cooler from years ago that HE Himself didn't bill the Warranty because he forgot and expects me to pay for that as well before he wants me to now pick it up which are totaling over $1000. The part that makes it worse is that he had parts equally over $1000 that didn't get installed and he took more than half of that money towards the engine cooler that he didn't bill correctly. There was also an auto claim worth over $10k that parts and labor that were paid for were never installed on the Jeep that he's kept the money on and was never returned to me. This is NOT how Good Business is done and I'm getting screwed here for a decision he made himself and by not honoring the deal we made has left me in hardship due to the fact that I was suppose to get another reliable vehicle and cash or simply all cash for me to buy something. I am Disabled and Handicapped and have not been able to go to the Doctor, haven't been able to schedule Scans, or the necessary procedures I need done since he took my Jeep and never paid me for it. Tom Tillitson should be ashamed of himself, preaching faith and how good he has it, well no wonder when he screws his way to the top while not communicating with you to what he makes his plans to be

They just charged her 268.00 to quote her 9000.00 worth of things that needed fixed. And did nothing else. DO NOT send anyone into them that are not mechanic savvy in the slightest. BUYER BEWARE OF RUBY MOUNTAIN MOTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On…read more08/26/2024 I went to Ruby Mountain Motors in Twin Falls to look at a 2005 Hummer H2 SUT they had for sale. Upon arrival I met with a sales person Michael. Michael showed me the vehicle and advised me that they just got this vehicle in from an elderly couple so its well taken care of. Michael advised me that the only thing wrong with the vehicle was the A/C needed to be fixed but it was nothing major and that's the only thing wrong with the vehicle. I test drove the vehicle and liked it and Michael and I went inside to talk about me purchasing it. While inside Michael told me that the A/C would be fixed ASAP and I then asked Michael if this problem with the A/C is an ongoing issue that they have had with this vehicle and Michael advised me no that it just went out and that's the only thing wrong with the vehicle. Michael advised me to bring the vehicle back on Monday and they would fix the A/C and provide me with a loaner vehicle in the meantime. Onnce at home I found that there was quite a few issues with the vehicle that I was not made aware of by Michael. I then texted Michael and told him about all the other problems with the vehicle: 4x4 selection modes, T/C 2, brights on headlights, fog lights, passenger door interior light, sprayer for windshield wiper fluid, rear electric locks all did not work. Michael was also informed that the screws for the plastic trim around the radio were stripped out and would not be able to change out the radio, and that the sunroof does not work and that it appears someone caulked around the edge of the sunroof on top and that the trailer brake controller was not even wired to anything. Michael texted me back and stated sorry about that and he would have someone take a look at all of this when I brought it in to have the A/C fixed. On 09/06/24 I was informed by Michael that my vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. I asked Michael what all work was done to it and I was informed he did not know that he just seen it back at the lot. I advised Michael that I would come Monday after he speaks to his boss so if anything else needed to be fixed I wasn't making more trips back and forth. Michael advised me that THAT'S NOT HOW THIS IS GOING TO WORK that he wanted his truck back today a Sunday!! Michael then advised me that he spoke to his boss and that I was to bring the loaner vehicle back by tomorrow afternoon, and that all they are obligated to fix on my vehicle was the A/C and that they did me A HUGE FAVOR by giving me a loaner to drive and that I am keeping their truck without permission. I was later contacted via phone by the GENRAL MANAGER GREG who called and stated that he understands we have an issue. Greg immediately began to cuss at me using the F word numerous times. Greg also advised me that I ruined his F****** Sunday of watching football with all of this and that they are tired of dumping money into this vehicle to fix it. I later began to look into the vehicles history and paid $45 for a Carfax report. I then discovered that the vehicle had 27 service history reports. It appears from the Carfax the vehicle started having electrical problems starting in 2010. I discovered the other problems that the milage on the vehicle was around 133,000 but only around 86 engine hours which did not add up. Based on the Carfax it appears RUBY MOUNTAIN MOTORS purchased this vehicle sometime around 05/30/24. Ruby Mountain Motors then brought the car to The Car Store in Twin Falls for problems with the engine/ powertrain computer module, and the A/C system. The vehicle was brought in again to the same store AGAIN for the A/C system not working again, and was brought in THIRD time for the same reason. All to which RUBY MOUNTAIN MOTORS never advised me of before purchase and was blatantly untruthful when I asked about the A/C or other problems the vehicle ever had previously. Since my purchase of the vehicle I have had electrical problems (heated seats don't work, A/C display doesn't work, the rear driver side window will not roll up or down and stays down, radio does not work) I have spent money trying to fix the problems.
