I wasn't getting horrible care, but I never felt listened to, or like my doc was willing to work *with* me when something felt off. If the numbers were "normal," then my concerns must not be valid. Dr. Ennis (and his partner, Jamie Ruiz, who specializes in female hormone replacement therapy) is fantastic, and exactly the kind of practitioner I had been hoping for. He really listens, asks questions about symptoms I had never been asked before, and wants to treat how I'm feeling, not just the numbers on the page. And, in maybe the biggest shock of all, he's always on time for appointments! I've been a patient at this practice for several years now, with no plans to leave. I'm thrilled with my care and recommend Ennis Endocrinology to everyone I know who needs an endo.

From the moment I walked in, everyone was kind, welcoming, and smiling. The staff genuinely seem happy to be there, and that positive energy really shines through in the way they treat their patients. One of the reasons I ended up scheduling my appointment here was because of an issue with my favorite pair of Porsche sunglasses. I had taken them to another eye care office in Meridian after they lost a screw. Unfortunately, they installed the wrong screw and never mentioned that they didn't have the correct replacement. When I put my sunglasses back on, they fit completely wonky! I was mortified. Needless to say, I immediately canceled my appointment with that office and scheduled one with Family Eye Care instead. Thankfully, they were able to fix my sunglasses properly, and I couldn't be happier. They say things happen for a reason, and in this case, it led me to finding an office that I genuinely enjoyed. Family Eye Care was clean, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. The landscaping was beautifully maintained, and I especially loved the indoor fireplace. It wasn't on during my visit, but it's a lovely touch that I'm sure feels extra cozy during Idaho's cold winter months. Dr. Kendon took great care of me and took the time to explain the value of an eye test I was initially hesitant about. I appreciated that he educated me on why it was important rather than simply recommending it. They also have a great selection of eyewear with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and can absolutely see why my sister-in-law recommended them so highly. I look forward to sending my husband here as well and would happily recommend Family Eye Care to anyone looking for quality eye care in the area. "Sometimes things really do happen for a reason."

So much so that I ended up switching over to their practice. Secondly, I went in for a routine eye exam, got glasses and some contacts to try and had a great experience. Zero complaints. But the icing on the cake has been Dr. McNeel's excellent care when I was in a bit of an emergent situation. I was able to leave a message for him on a Saturday and he texted me back within minutes. I got a prescription within hours. I've found him to be extremely communicative and caring; following up with me of his own accord just to see how I was doing. Pretty rare to find that level of service but I'm extremely grateful I did!

They also text patients asking for personal information, which was uncomfortable. Even after I told them my availability for a phone call to discuss it instead, they didn't honor that request. The checkout experience was the worst part. The lady told me, "We will charge you if another place messes up your glasses," which came across as threatening and pushy -- like I'd be punished for not ordering through them. I only came in to renew my prescription. Overall, not a welcoming experience and I would not recommend this office to a friend. And also, the provider writes a year rx for eyeglasses? Really? It's 2 years at other places. I'll take my business elsewhere.
