I've been seeing an endocrinologist for my thyroid for more than 15 years now, and I have to say that until I started seeing Dr. Ennis, I always came home from my previous doctor to see if my insurance had any new options for me. I wasn't getting horrible care, but I never felt listened to, or like my doc was willing to work *with* me when something felt off. If the numbers were "normal," then my concerns must not be valid. Dr. Ennis (and his partner, Jamie Ruiz, who specializes in female hormone replacement therapy) is fantastic, and exactly the kind of practitioner I had been hoping for. He really listens, asks questions about symptoms I had never been asked before, and wants to treat how I'm feeling, not just the numbers on the page. And, in maybe the biggest shock of all, he's always on time for appointments! I've been a patient at this practice for several years now, with no plans to leave. Once you're in they're pretty friendly, efficient and So far they've been helpful in balancing hormones and offering good advice/prescriptions. However, getting them to call you back or answer the phone is borderline impossible. So frustrating when you have a followup question about doses or administration of medicine. read more

LOVE Dr Ennis. He is amazing and his nurses/MA's, but something needs to be done about the office management or how they conduct phone and email communication. If you call you never get a live person and maybe can get a call back in two to three days. Really sad for a medical office because when dealing with your health sometimes it can't wait 2-3 days. read more

Downgrading from 4 stars to 3 after multiple scheduling issues. First scheduled in a day provider was not going to be in. Then rescheduled. Then called to come in at original time. When I showed the provider was indeed out. The. Rescheduled but not without incident Sorry, but with gas being four bucks a gallon and a 70 mile round trip I can't afford to make three trips in hopes of seeing a provider once. read more

Dr. Ennis and his staff are definitely 5 stars in my book! I went for my first visit today to transfer my care, and he spent about 35 minutes thoroughly going over my file, asking great questions, and making sure I understood everything. He made sure I had all of my questions answered. I feel so much better about my condition, being in his care. read more

Ennis Endo started off well enough. Jamie Ruiz is okay. However, to echo other reviews, 9 times out of 10, you can NOT get a real person on the line, you get to leave a message, which is fine if it happens once in a blue moon, but not most every single time. The good: - Jamie seems knowledgeable in certain aspects, friendly, and genuinely wanted to help. The bad: - you get to leave a message 9/10 times you call - Just from my experience: Jamie wanted to put me on levothyroxine because her lab staff said based off of my thyroid labs, I had hypothyroidism. which, guys, do not go to this endo if you have family who are doctors and nurses and lab techs in the medical field. I have a couple general doctors, RNs, lab techs etc in my fam, and they all had given my labs drawn from Ennis Endo a look over, and all had said that my thyroid levels absolutely did NOT warrant me getting put in levothyroxine (I'm not an anti-meds person, but that is a heavy, lifetime medication guys.). I did not need to be put on it period. (I didn't pick it up, nor start taking it. When I let Ennis Endo know that I would like to decline levothyroxine, I had told them that day that I was pregnant, and they started telling me about how if I didn't make sure my thyroid levels were under control, there could be repercussions like miscarriage, etc. This did not help their case with me.) -You also get things called into your pharmacy that you had no idea why they were being called in...until your pharmacy calls you to let you know you have something to pick up. I got a notification that I had progesterone ready for me to be picked up, and I was so confused. They said that it was ordered by Ennis endo, so, I gave them a call, and they said my progesterone levels were questionable, so I needed to go on this. It would've been nice to have a chat as to why I was getting put on progesterone before they called it in. Guys, my levels were normal. - The staff themselves, although nice, seemed a bit incompetent. Like, if the doctors, nurses, lab techs in my family could take a look and walk through each lab to see very clear normal levels, why couldn't their lab staff? I also had to ask multiple times for them to send over any labs they took to my OB (we were working with both an endo and OB). - Overall, I don't enjoy giving bad reviews, but this place, (mind you, I didn't see Dr. Ennis himself, I saw one of the PA-C's, so maybe Dr. Ennis is completely different) is dangerous. If anything, it's taught me not to blindly trust the doctor because they can be wrong, so wrong, on a lot of levels, and the staff, although somewhat nice, not necessarily the best at their positions either. I could write more, but I digress. Mind you, this was my own experience, you are the advocate for your own health experience. Choose wisely. read more

Doc is fine, not great, but fine. Med tech and Nurse are fine. The office staff is awful, they are rude and dismissive. They don't code anything right so you have to ask them to redo everything and they are so rude about it and try to get you to pay cash. I've seen endocrinologists in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and now Dr. Ennis. I feel as though I got more accomplished in one visit than I did with any other doctor combined. Dr Ennis took the time to listen to my extensive recent testing and symptoms, communicated with me regarding which treatment route I would prefer, and got things done quickly and effectively. I couldn't be happier and won't be going anywhere. Additionally, the scheduling was great. The receptionist was incredibly friendly. And Alyssa (I believe was her name) was quick, friendly, and painless while drawing my labs. read more

I waited 8 months for a new patient appointment even while experiencing symptoms that weren't diagnosed by my primary, but I remained patient because I'd heard great things. Well, today was my appointment, and it's been one heck of a week, including the sudden death of a friend. I thought my cell phone alarm was on, but I missed my appointment by 20 minutes. When I called in, I was on hold for 5 minutes, then they told me they couldn't EVER reschedule me because of their policy against new patient no-shows. The receptionist wished me a good afternoon after letting me know I was boned. Thanks, Ennis Endo--That was really cool (not). It is probably best I go to a practice that has actual compassion rather than just advertises it. I wish I'd known about this RISKY POLICY 8 months ago!!! read more

My first impression is 5/5 stars. Yes, they can be hard to reach, but I patiently waited for my first appointment with PA Chelsey. From the office staff to the blood draw gal, they were all so friendly and helpful, I felt welcomed and listened to. They were also early and got my appointment started early which is great. For the first time in a long time, I felt HEARD. Chelsey took the time to even draw out body images to explain what was going on. I have been seeing a different local diabetic DOCTOR for over 10 years and my A1C was climbing, and thyroid getting worse. I'm hopeful Chelsey can help. She already taught me new things I didnt know, and I feel motivated to do better. Even down to the blood draw, I told the phlebotomist I can get dizzy and nauseous and she listened and took me to a separate room with a cozy chair I could totally recline in. Dr. Ennis is really an amazing man! He has been supportive yet tough to help me get my numbers into a very healthy range. It is with his help that I have turned my numbers around and I no longer have risk for diabetes Etc. The office staff is friendly and helpful as well. You come in during Christmas and there's Christmas music playing and the door is open because they know it's cold outside. I waited a long time to get an appointment with these people. I live far away from their location. At my first appointment, I was 4 MINUTES late due to road construction. They could not see because of that. The second appointment I was late 8 MINUTES  because of an accident on Eagle Road, I called them while I was waiting for traffic to get moving the little gal told me to keep coming. When I arrived they told me I would have to reschedule. The receptionist said she would call me if they had a cancellation. Weeks went by. I called to see when they could get me in many times. No one ever answered the phone. I left several messages. No callback. I called my Dr. that referred me to them. She called and they said because I was late they would not see me. That didn't bother me as much as not getting a call letting me know that. I would never recommend them. I can't tell you how upsetting it is to not even get a  courtesy call telling me that. I had such high hopes for this medical practice. I saw Jamie who was curt during the appointment I waited 3 months for. When I got the bloodwork back I received a call from her MA (Jamie couldn't even be bothered to respond initially) who said to go off my normal thyroid meds and go on another medication, when I asked asked for confirmation because I had been on it for 7 years I received an email that said "I thought that is what you wanted." What I WANTED was a professional medical opinion that I paid good money for on how to proceed and a THOROUGH review of my bloodwork, now I'm just more confused then before. She also gave me a scrip for something that, with my health history, was inappropriate. I asked her if a combination of meds would be helpful and she said "regardless of what other people are doing that doesn't mean you should." ?????? Total waste of time and disappointment. After being refused by St. Luke's Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic, we explained our concerns to Ennis Endo and they agree to see my 9 year old daughter.
