Quick and easy! I bought a couple bags of ice. It's cheaper than anything around for sure

Great spot for Asian inspired ice cream flavors in San Diego! Despite trying them from other…read morefunctions, I never had the chance to visit their storefront until now. I came by on a Thursday afternoon, and fortunately there was no line! There was a wide selection of their classic flavors, but I was excited to try their seasonal flavors. I got to sample all 4 seasonal flavors, and I ended up getting a split singe of my two favorites: Banana Turon Crunch and Pineapple POG. The turon was rich and creamy, and very reminiscent of actual turon but in ice cream form. The POG in contrast was refreshing with a bit of tartness, but very tropical. The employee helping me was very helpful and kind, and I really enjoyed the service! Indoor seating is very limited, with only 5 stools inside. But the weather in San Diego is very nice year round that you could easily take your ice cream outside to enjoy.

Not sure I had a favorite as they were all sooooo good!!! The biggest surprise was the ube pandesal. Oh man....im still thinking about it!!! Best thing was we got to taste several shake flavors while we waited in the very long line outside. So worth it!!! It was the perfect way to end the evening, and we're already looking forward to coming back. Next time, we'll definitely be bringing the kids...they're going to love it!

I've had this place on my radar for quite a while. This Comic-Con trip was the opportunity to…read morefinally visit. They have a limited menu that seems to change frequently. They come up some really creative flavors that you just don't find anywhere else. All of their ice cream is gluten free. Even the waffle cones are gluten free as well. The workers are very pleasant and happy to let you sample the various flavors. I chose the Minky which is a blend of pineapple and coconut. I got my order in a cup which turned out to be a mistake. Both my wife and son got their orders on a cone and it seemed like they got a lot more ice cream than I did even though we all ordered the same size. I apologize for not including pictures but we had our ice cream in the car and in the heat we experienced, I don't believe the pictures would have done the ice cream justice. Very cool concept naming the shop after the business that preceded it. I may need to find a real dry cleaner after spilling drops of melted goodness on my shirt. Be warned that parking can be a real challenge in this area. If Friday at 2 PM was a pain, I imagine Saturday and Sunday must be atrocious.

A server came around giving a sample bite of their sorbet while we waited which was nice. They had 7 unique flavors and will allow you to sample all of them. I liked a handful of the flavors so I had a hard time deciding. Ended up getting the zoot suit which was a fig and spiced pecan flavor. Also got loafer which had amaretto, sage, chocolate and brown butter. Service was good overall.

I was thinking no way I am not in the mood to wait in a long line outside the cafe. So, I went online again to see what else was available . I came across Cafe Maiko SD. I was able to park in the parking lot in front which was not difficult to find parking because it was later in the morning . I walked in and noticed it was decorated with a cute Asian aesthetic. The music was playing in the background which was upbeat and happy. They also play hip hop songs that I loveI ordered a Strawberry Matcha latte. The girl behind the counter told me it was made homemade daily the preserves. I also asked about their ice cream out of curiosity. They told me they make it homemade daily, and they have so many flavors too. They said I could try a float if I was interested in which is the ice cream flavor of your choice on top of the Matcha latte. I decided to get the Dole Whip Pineapple. They have a big ordering system that tells you your order is being processed and also when it's ready. It took about five minutes and it was already ready! Once I tried it, I was so impressed because the Dole Whip Pineapple ice cream was so delicious and creamy . Then I was sipping on my Strawberry Matcha latte which was so good, but I am in a sugar coma now . I forgot to take a photo of it because I devoured it so quickly. So, I had to order a banana pudding matcha to have a few sips and then take home because I was not going to worsen my sugar coma! They also have a DIY Ramen station whereby they have offend types of Ramen packages from China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia to select from . Then after you select your Ramen, various toppings already prepared stored in a refrigerator, and drink selection from their beverage refrigerator, and or snack options too you then proceed to the Ramen station where it instructs you how to cook your Ramen . Then, they also have a small bar area that you can sit at and order beer, sake, and or other alcohol beverages as well. They have happy hour daily from 3-6 for those that are interested in that. I was fortunate to meet the owners who were so professional and kind just like their workers. One of the owners gave me a complimentary Matcha snack, but I am so bummed out I accidentally left it behind. This place is perfection with everything! They are at the top of my favorite places! Whether you are a local or visitor, this is the place to be!
