They had a sign for 50% off yellow tags. I found 2 new in packaging Ty Beanie Baby's for 1.00$ each ( but they were yellow tagged making them 1.00$ for both ! ) my friend collects them, so I couldn't resist. They made an announcement that they were closing soon. Which I loved- I hate it when a store is closed with no prior warning. I then saw the shoes on display. Again, unlike VV they were clean and gently used. I had only brought my boots with me ( I was in town for a few days ) and really could of used some casual shoes to slip on, instead of wearing my thigh high boots all the time, during this trip. I wear a 10 in footwear, so it's not always easy finding my size. I asked the lady if it was too late to try them on, and she was super nice. She told me to go ahead. Both pairs fit, and at 2$ and 3$ each how could I go wrong ? I also bought a glass heart necklace ( see pic ) for 1.00$ ! They had a good sized book selection at the back. I love to read, and go through 4-5 books a week ( another reason I like thrift stores- I can get my book fix ) there was only a few minutes to spare, so I didn't have time to browse but I did pick out a hardcover book. The lady on cash was also super nice and friendly. She rang me up and got me a nice box for my necklace.The total for everything ? Only 9.60$ !! I'm sure if I had more time to look, I would of probably found more stuff I really didn't need. But thrift stores is a fun way to spend some time, and not a lot of money. Profits go towards a good cause so that's definitely a bonus compared to other for-profit thrift stores. There's also a free membership program where people can collect and redeem points. I've gotten brand name clothes for a few bucks here and brand name nice bags for $20-30. There's everything from clothes snd accessories, to household products and furniture. There are also gaming systems, instruments, books, baby items, beauty products and much more. They run rotating 50%+ off sales every day on different types of items Sometimes it'll be clothes, sometimes it's kitchen products, sometimes it's arts and craft items. They post the daily sales on their Instagram page so it's super convenient to look up what's on sale before going. I've also made a bunch of donations to the store - just drop off stuff in the bins behind the building during their collection hours.
