Dr. Durkin was expensive compared to the DRs in Miami, but he was worth every penny. I mean, even the surgery bed was HEATED, LOL. They roll out the red carpet. Everyone in the office is kind. I genuinely felt like I was treated like gold. Dr. Durkin also made scheduling my post-op appointments and getting my prescriptions easy. I am only writing this review because I would not want anyone to go elsewhere for their cosmetic work. I am so grateful for Dr. Durkin because anything could happen on that surgery table. I sent the owner this email and he never responded until I called him…read more Dr. Durkin, I am writing to inform you of the extreme unprofessional manner some of your employees displayed on 9/20/24. I came in for some simple botox and fillers with Stephanie. She came in and suggested I needed a neck and face lift. I have never been to an office where the employees come right in sounding like used car salesmen. I let her know that I may be interested when I turn 60. She then quoted me over $3700 for fillers and botox. I simply said, "I have never paid that much. I'll have to think about it." Her price quickly came down to $1400, which is what I have paid in the past for my entire face and lips. But, I received treatment only on my forehead and crowfeet. I then proceed to be prepped for the fillers. Stephanie's assistant tells me that they won't make me look like Nancy Pelosi. I said I hope not because she's in her 80's. I'm only 55. I then asked if you were a Trumper. She then said, "we don't talk politics," which is exactly how it should be. However, she brought up politics. I should have walked out then, but I didn't, unfortunately. Then Stephanie comes in and does the fastest filler job I have ever received. I found it odd, like maybe she was mad because politics were brought up. But, I said nothing. I then proceed to the check out. Stephanie is coming from the reception area and hurried past me without a smile or a thank you or a nice to meet you. I said something to her regarding menopause and she ignored me in a rush. I go to check out and the receptionist tells me I owe $2200. I then have to say that is not what I was quoted, in a room full of patients. It was embarrassing. She then has to go to the back and straighten things out with Stephanie. I paid the $1470 and went on my way. Btw, the ladies in the reception area were very nice and friendly and apologized for the delay when checking out. Well, the fillers don't look good. My inner brows go downwards. It makes me look mad. I simply came in for a "brow lift' and all of this transpired. One might conclude that I was purposely overcharged and treated haphazardly because of some of the comments made, which were provoked by your employee. As a business owner, I would like to know how my employees treat my customers. So, I thought I'd extend the same courtesy to you since a few of my friends referred you. Dr. Durkin said he didn't reply to my email because I didn't asked for a reply. Common sense would tell anyone that a response would be good business practice. But, he called to argue with me! My experience was all so unprofessional.

So, I rate the solicitation of patients a definite ONE STAR OR NO STARS! When asked if they accept Medicare, the answer was in unqualified yes. I would, however, have to submit payment for services upon receiving the services. It was explained to me that Medicare would then reimburse me. Upon further inquiry, I discovered, from them, on the day of my appointment, that they were a non-participating, out of network provider! Technically, this means that they DO NOT accept or participate in the Medicare program or any supplement insurance you may have. They were dishonest and devious in their attempt to get me in the office. Legally, they may be guilty of fraud in their current practice of withholding the fact that they are a non-participating, out-of-network office. I canceled my appointment and immediately posted this review to warn other unsuspecting potential patience of their unscrupulous, misinformation about Medicare. Caveat Emptor... let the buyer beware!

Dr MCDonald seems to be fine but not very thorough. Went in for an annual exam (first time with him) and he breezed through very quickly. They then send to your insurance provider which won't pay because (says his office staff only after I madea call questioning) he doesn't work with insurance companies. If they don't work with providers why do they tell you that your insurance will reimburse???? I will not go back!

When I called and asked that the test results be sent to me, I was told that they could not do that. I then said I would drive there and pick up the results. I was told to not bother. They could not provide them to me. I asked to speak with Dr Ioannides and was told that I had to schedule a meeting with him. So I scheduled a meeting to get a copy of the results and speak with the doctor. I discovered that the biopsies performed on my face did not include any type of margin analysis. I was told that biopsies do not include margin analysis, which I already knew was standard procedure. Given the fact that I've had a large number of surgeries on my face, one of my goals was to minimize the number of times I have surgery. I learned that it is possible to get margin analysis with some biopsies, and that margin analysis could in some cases eliminate the need for follow-on surgery. I wanted to better understand these special cases to see if they could apply to me sometime in the future. When I asked the question, "Can biopsies include a margin analysis?", Dr. Ioannides refused to give me a straight answer. Instead, I got a lecture on what a biopsy is. I informed Dr Ioannides that I understood what biopsies were, as well as the different types of them. Dr. Ioannides suddenly decided that he would not follow through with the required surgeries, but insisted that I go to a plastic surgeon instead. I tried to tell him that my facial tumors were going to be treated with radiation from another doctor, and that I did not care about scarring with surgery on the rest of my body. I was working with another doctor and trying to coordinate who was going to do radiation and who was going to do surgery, and which tumors were going to be treated which way. I tried to remind Dr. Ioannides of the current strategy, but he refused to even listen, dictating a new strategy without even discussing it. I abruptly left since he simply was not listening and was refusing to treat me. He followed me out into the hallway and we got into a shouting match. This escalated to the point that Dr Iaonnides stepped up to within an inch of my nose, trying to intimidate me and yelling at me. I refused to back down and yelled back. Obviously, I'll never be going back there again.
