I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback about my experience at your practice today,…read morebecause I think it's important you know how it felt from the patient's perspective. This was my first time doing something for myself since giving birth, and I had just stopped breastfeeding last week. As you can imagine, emotions are already heightened during this period, and I was really looking forward to this appointment. I had arranged for a babysitter -- my first time leaving the baby -- and planned to get Botox and run one quick errand before heading back home. It felt like a small but meaningful act of self-care. My appointment was scheduled for 11 a.m. I arrived at 10:30 to fill out paperwork and was taken back around 10:50, where numbing cream was applied. But then I sat and waited. After 30 minutes with no update, I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be and was told someone would be right in. I came out again later and got the same response. On the third attempt, I was told they couldn't find the injector. At this point, my limited time with childcare was slipping away, and I was ready to leave. When the injector did arrive (an hour late), there was no introduction, no acknowledgment of the delay, and no apology. Instead, she immediately tried to upsell me on other services. There was no warmth or personal connection -- not even a simple "how are you doing?" or "thanks for your patience." When I expressed my frustration, I was given a brief explanation about her being in a meeting and involved in a clinical trial. I was offered a discount, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I was hoping to feel seen and cared for -- especially in a space I had been excited to make my go-to dermatologist. I'm new to the area and came to your office based on a referral. I was excited to become a regular patient and inquire about laser treatments and other services, but I left feeling deeply disappointed and unimportant. The Botox procedure was done quickly, and while it may turn out fine, the overall experience felt rushed and impersonal -- more like a transaction than patient care. I understand that busy days happen, but I believe how we make people feel matters most. I truly hope this feedback is received in the spirit it's intended -- not as a complaint, but as a reflection on how much a moment like this can mean to a patient, especially during a tender chapter of life.

UPDATE: My reviews about my experience have been removed…read more I am an actual patient of Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery and Dr. Alan Durkin. I am in their patient system, I underwent procedures there, and what I am sharing is my actual, honest, firsthand experience as a patient. My previous reviews describing my experience have been removed. I do not know who specifically requested or caused their removal, but removing my review does not change what I personally experienced. I have every right to truthfully describe my own experience and the concerns I have regarding my care. Therefore, I am reposting my review as follows: I underwent two separate surgeries with Dr. Alan Durkin--facial surgery in July 2026 and body surgery in September 2026. I trusted him with my face and my body, and unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision. Before my surgeries, Dr. Durkin was extremely charming, confident, and convincing. He made me feel comfortable trusting him. However, after my surgeries were completed and I began having concerns, my experience felt completely different. I did not feel that I received the same level of attention, concern, or care. Following my facial surgery, I discovered changes involving my left ear, including significant scarring and what appeared to me to be repositioning of the ear. I do not recall consenting to having my ear repositioned. I also learned that a bump near my eye had been removed during surgery, which I also do not recall specifically consenting to. These issues have been extremely upsetting to me, and I have been seeking my complete medical and operative records so I can understand exactly what was performed and why. My experience with my body surgery has been equally upsetting. I paid for and expected Lipo 360. Based on the results I see on my own body, I do not believe I received the comprehensive Lipo 360 procedure I expected. It appears to me that treatment was primarily performed on my sides and back. I have been left extremely unhappy with the appearance of my body. I have also dealt with significant postoperative concerns, including areas that appeared burned, infections, breast pain and an indentation, nipple discharge, uneven nipples/areolas, and pain in the area where I was told mesh was involved. These are not minor concerns to me. They have affected me physically and emotionally. When I contacted Dr. Durkin to tell him that I had gone to my primary care provider and was told I had an infection, his responses included "What?" and "OMG," but I did not receive the meaningful follow-up or concern I expected from my surgeon. I later attempted to reach him again and did not receive the response I believed the situation warranted. I also requested my complete medical records because I wanted to understand exactly what had been done during both surgeries. At the time I requested them, I was provided only part of my records and was told that additional documentation, including operative/postoperative records, had not yet been completed. My facial surgery had taken place months earlier. That raised even more questions and concerns for me. This entire experience has been devastating. I trusted this doctor and this practice. I paid a significant amount of money because I believed I was placing myself in capable hands. Instead, I have cried looking at my body and have been left trying to obtain answers about procedures, consent, complications, and exactly what was done to me. Based solely on my own experience as an actual patient, I cannot recommend Dr. Alan Durkin or Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery. This is my experience. These are my concerns. I was the patient, and I lived through it. If my review is removed again, I will continue to truthfully document and share my firsthand experience. Removing my words does not erase my experience, my scars, my complications, or the questions for which I am still seeking answers.

Rosanna, the patient coordinator and I became instant friends. I felt a strong connection with her as if we had known each other all our lives! Love her!! The office is so well appointed, clean and spacious. That clinic is so large I got turned around a couple of times They pampered me before and especially after my surgery. Massages, personal makeup demonstration and gifts of the products she used on me! I have all the confidence in Dr Durkin. He's warm, friendly, tall and handsome doesn't hurt either! He always has a smile on his face, greeted me with a "hey beautiful" while we passed in the hall...first time I ever remember a man saying that to me! He is a very warm and heartfelt and nurturing way about him. I'm glad the surgery was done in-house instead of a hospital! That clinic was so spotless, no worries about getting any kind of bugs you can get at large hospitals. I'll go back in a heartbeat and will recommend to anyone looking for a professional and caring doctor and staff! Thank you Ocean Drive Med!

After my facelift, I learned that my left ear had been altered and a bump near my eye had been removed. I did not understand that either was part of the plan, and I do not recall consenting to them. He could also provide a clear account of what was performed. I paid for lipo 360, but I am concerned that only my sides and back were treated. When I requested my complete records, I received only a small portion and was told that some were still unfinished, including records from my July facelift. Most of all, he could improve how he responds when a patient reports a complication. I told him I had an infection and needed to see my primary care doctor. His brief replies left me feeling alone at a frightening time. I am still dealing with pain, scarring, and concerns about my results. I felt confident and cared for before surgery. I wish I had felt that same care, clear communication, and attention afterward.

So I show up to their office, where they pushed Botox fillers to me at the front counter. I was there for a real medical concern. Got in the exam room, told the nurse my problem, and mentioned I'd like to speak to the doctor about my adult acne as well. The doctor came in for less than 10 minutes, took a quick peak at the cyst, said it was inflamed, not infected and wrote me a prescription. Her assistant put it in the iPad, for 7 days instead of the 10 days doctor had stated twice. Luckily they seemed to get that worked out. She verified my pharmacy and practically pushed me out the door. Never giving me a chance to talk about anything else. I stopped at my pharmacy to pick up my prescription after work, they had not received any prescriptions for me. I called the office, which was closed after 5 until Monday. Great! About 6:30 that night I got a call from advanced dermatology and cosmetics. I was so excited thinking they had gotten my message and were able to send my prescription. But no, it was the scheduling office offering me an earlier appointment than my original scheduled date. She even mentioned they had sent me a text before with a better date. I was fabbergasted! Yes, I got the text, accepted the appointment and had it today. And their doctor failed to send my prescription. This place is a mess, they don't seem to know up from down and can't even finish sending a prescription for their patients. Bit of you want some filler, perhaps then they would give you the time of day. I will never be going back there!

Dr. Diaz If I said…read moreWOW! or LIFE CHANGING! It would not completely express my experience with Dr. Diaz and his ENTIRE STAFF! From the first time I entered the office I knew in my heart this was the place for me. After loosing over 100 pounds the hard way through diet and exercise, I had a goal to have my excess stomach skin removed and Gynecomastia removed from my chest. Dr. Diaz made me feel very comfortable and answered every question I had (including the ones I found silly). Dr. Diaz was continuously educating and teaching me about how the procedures work, techniques, and how these would impact my recovery and results. The on-site surgery center is incredible and was must for me. Absolutely everything was included with the procedures I had. All my pre and post appointments, medical supplies for personal care, scar treatment, and even recovery vitamins. I am 32 male and had a tummy tuck, lipo, and gynecomastia surgery all at one time. Over 8 hrs in surgery and my 10 year goal was achieved! Over 9 pounds of skin removed just from my stomach, my abdominals were reconnected and attached to my core, and gynecomastia gone! A nurse escorted my wife and I to the house, helped me inside, and into the the couch. She walked my wife through the medication, circulation machine, and personal care instructions. Later that night Dr. Diaz called to check up on me just to see how I was doing, and even provided his cell phone number. After my surgery Dr. Diaz and his staff worked around my schedule for my fallow up visits and even opened up on Sundays and Holidays to accommodate me. I want to list all these helpful, educational, genuinely kind, and caring professionals. Riverview Team: Dr. Diaz, Freddy, Sarah, Lisa, Gonna, Ashley, Stacy, Christopher. Office Staff: Toni, Theresa, Tammy, Megan, Pam, Amy L, Amy B, Ruthi All i can say now is Thank you! These great people changed my life, and gave me a new way to see myself every single day! THANK YOU!

I don't understand how someone who works in a business that is so customer service driven cannot simply return a phone call.
