I had partial highlights done at this salon. The hair stylist was very transparent with the pricing up front, which I really appreciated. I showed her a picture of the caramel highlights I wanted, and she told me that it was full highlights and not a partial, which would cost so much more. So I opted for partial highlights. She offered me coffee while she dyed my hair, and when it came time to shampoo my hair, they made sure I was comfortable at all times and did not get my neck wet. They also showed me how to curl my medium length hair before styling it. There were hardly any decorations in the salon, but I didn't care. My hair looked gorgeous and I am very happy with it! I went in thinking she could just lighten the top of my head and add color overall but Ani knows better. I ended up doing a color correction which was wayyyy more than I was hoping to spend ($500) but it turned out great and I love it. The whole thing was like a 4 step process and she even added a hot oil treatment for me cause I was really worried about the damage bleaching my hair would do. Whole thing took about 2 hours. I stumbled upon iColorHair when I read the yelp reviews. I've been working on going gray and wanted to find a salon that would help me do that, trimming away the dyed hair so I can transition. From my first time at iColor, I felt comfortable with Ani. She is truly a master in her field and very knowledgeable about hair textures. My hair is curly/wavy and I wear it natural. She is precise and takes the extra time to straighten my hair before she cuts it to make sure it's even. I love that she listens to what I need - a beautiful cut that is low maintenance and accents my curls - emphasis on low maintenance. I think all the below reviews are PAID/FAKE, because there's no way this business is five stars. I explained to her (there is only one lady) what I wanted (AND CAME IN THE WEEK BEFORE FOR A CONSULTATION) and she literally did the exact opposite of what I was hoping for. I left in tears. Not to mention, not only is my hair fucked up, but she proceeded to argue and lecture with me over vaccines, why I should be anti-VAX and was completely unprofessional. I was shocked. It came OUT OF NOWHERE! I don't care if you believe in vaccines or not, but it was so random, she's almost delusional. She started asking me about my health history, was I vaccinated as a child, and if I was, it's the vaccines that messed me up. Beyond rude and ignorant, never been in a situation like this before. I truly hope this review sticks here and she does not get to remove it. I have never been in a more awkward and UNCOMFORTABLE situation, and I could not wait to leave. She even admitted to me she has lost clients because of it, and told me she could care less.I was being lectured. If you want an upscale, kind, professional, and welcoming salon, go SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! THIS PLACE IS A RED FLAG. Annie shared information with me about purple shampoo and platinum hair and how drying it is and from that day forward I have not touched the purple shampoo since! I come here specifically for Jose Reyes. I have curly hair and it's hard to find someone that can cut it without making me look like pyramid head. If you have curly hair he is your guy. He's also amazing with color, color correction and overall getting your hair to better health. I love how he texturized my hair with the cut so that it has volume and bounce when curly and I can switch it up when I blow it out straight. He's great at blow outs too.
