On a weekday lunchtime, I went for a targeted cryotherapy and red light on a pinched nerve in my neck. Friendly, clean, and welcoming. Didn't try to upsell me in a membership since I said I wanted to try it. They were very accommodating and got me right in. The cryo was only like 3 minutes and red light was 25minutes. When you go in the cool chamber you are monitored by one of icebox team members. The door inside pushes open and close and has no locking feature. So I was not worried at all. My husband and I love Icebox! It has helped us so much with the pain and inflammation we experience from our workouts and work routines. I recently had a hand injury that we did localized cryotherapy on, and in two sessions the pain and throbbing had disappeared and my hand is as good as new! We typically go at least 4 times a week, we get into the icebox for anywhere between 3 minutes or 3 minute 30 seconds. The icebox is cold, (freezing really!) but they provide you with gloves, socks, warm booties, and beanies to protect your hands, feet and head. They allow you to choose whatever music you wish to listen to, and the 3 minutes goes by so fast! The endorphin rush you get when you step out of the box feels so good! We finish our session off with compression. Oh man, compression is the greatest 25 minutes of my life everytime we do it! You wear these leg "boots" from your feet up to your hips and they have chambers that fill up with air. The chambers fill and release and it's like the greatest leg and foot massage ever! It helps you to recover quicker and it moves stagnant lymph fluid in your body! I average between 15,000-20,000 steps a day, so this compression massage is heavenly. Localized cryotherapy is so helpful for injuries. My husband uses it specifically for a shoulder injury and I've used it for my hand. This is the best way to treat yourself and stimulate your body to heal itself without having to use pain killers which don't actually help, they just suppress your pain. We are so thankful to have this place here in Reno! Go check them out! The staff there is amazing and so helpful and friendly! I came across icebox, searching to help my husband's bruised calf. Him and our dog were playing rough and our dog slammed into him. I suggested that he go get cryotherapy. When we arrived, Colton was very friendly and helpful and made a few suggestions to help his bruised calf. After a couple visits and some compressions, he felt better. My concern with myself was loose skin under my chin, and Andrea explained everything to me and suggested that I get cryotherapy to tighten it. I did a couple sessions and it helped so much. I'm very happy with it. While she was doing the service I was asking her what a cryo- facial was and she went in depth and explain that to me too, and I was very interested to get it. I finally got it yesterday and it is the best Facial I've ever received, by far it beats your traditional facials. The reason why I say that is because I developed rosacea all of the sudden and I have been taking medication for it but after this, Facial, my skin was very glowy, radiant, firm, and the redness has gone down tremendously. I went to ice box today for a consultation for cellulite. I met with Tiffany. She took one look at me and said I really wasn't a candidate. She continued to look at the "problem" areas as I described them. Again, she said I really don't think you are a candidate. She reviewed with me the importance of weight lifting not just for strength but for pulling the skin tighter and showing less cellulite. She also told me there are some areas that will always be there and if I want treatment I should wait closer to summertime. Tiffany's honesty was refreshing. In the world we live it's easier to sell then to be honest. I will be visiting ICE BOX more because I like how they do business. I also had my first ever session in the box. It was an experience lol...definitely worth a try! I have a facial scheduled next week with Tiffany and another cryo session. I absolutely love this establishment! That being said, I have run many businesses that are based on the client experience. I have Nordstrom, Saks 5 Ave, & many other CS service trainings under my belt & I have significant experience being the person where the proverbial buck stops with/at me when it relates to the client experience. I've been in the service industry for 30 yrs. From the moment I walked in, I saw & experienced the positive changes that have been made in staffing here. Madeline provided an exceptional experience from start to finish & the person (I'm sorry I can't remember her name--I'm terrible at this) Madeline was training was receiving/ experiencing an exceptional/noteworthy example of customer service.
