First time coming here and I had high expectations because I love bubble tea so much. The place is located in a great shopping plaza and once you enter, ambiance is casual. You order and pay on a kiosk. When looking at the menu for bubble tea, the flavors were very limited. I'm used to selecting from at least 10 different flavors but Ice Spot had about 4-5 listed. I ordered the taro bubble tea and my husband ordered the Thai tea one. I was a little surprised that they only offered 1 standard size. I thought they would have a regular and large which other places offered. Plus it cost extra to have boba added so the total ended up being a little over $16 for 2 bubble teas! That was very steep in my opinion. While the drinks were large, I would much rather pay a less to get a little less. The flavors were good and sweet but I don't think I would come back again for bubble tea. read more

After a long day I wanted some good boba and I went to the ice spot expecting to have good boba but what I got was unacceptable. i ordered a oreo milk tea boba and the boba balls where uncooked. There was no oreo chunks, it had a little bit of chocolate drizzle and he would not add more. Overall it was a bad experience and not good boba. I got the black rose tea with brown sugar boba. The rose flavor was very powerful and floral, which I love. The boba was perfectly cooked, chewy, and had the perfect amount of syrupy sugar. I ordered normal sweetness, but next time I'll get low because "normal" was still really sweet. The wait was a little long, but they were fairly busy. I love this place! This is located in a newer area in Lake Mary that has a ton of food options. I highly recommend grabbing a bite nearby and coming here for dessert. I decided to check out this new boba and ice cream shop after dinner. Decent sized menu with drink options and rolled ice cream. Few specialty drinks on the menu that looks good. I was craving some ice cream and the Dragon Bae caught my eye and ordered it. Ice cream was creamy and wasn't to sweet. The dragonfruit flavor was subtle and I really enjoyed it. It hit the sweet spot. I also got to taste the taro and Cookie Monster flavor. The taro was also subtle and the chocolate sprinkles kinda made it too powerful, which was all I could taste. The Cookie Monster was decent if you are craving cookie flavor ice cream. I am not sure if some of their item flavors are seasonal. Nice interior and enjoyed the outside seating, which is where we sat to enjoy our ice cream. Didn't really interact with the employees since there are two different line options. For credit card payment you go up to the kiosk and punch in your ordered and pay through there. Eye easy to use. The front counter is where you'll order if you pay in cash. It was good in the boba but not my thing when mixed with ice cream. The item comes with cookie crumbs but it wasn't crumbs. It was cookie dust squeezed out of a bottle onto the ice cream. When I asked for the cookie crumbs, the girl working there told me that was it. Oh! I've been going to the barber shop that's next door for over a year but never had time to stop in until today. It's a cute place with great decorations. The girl at the counter greeted me when I came in but you order on tablets that are off to the corner. It's an easy system but feels a bit impersonal if you care about this sort of thing. Ice spot is known for the rolled ice cream but it was before dinner so I opted for a boba tea. One of the specialties was a strawberry matcha which looked fantastic. I ordered that and added boba pearls for .50. For my wife I got her the plain boba tea. You can't add flavors to the boba tea on the tablets at least. If you want a taro it only comes blended and doesn't have caffeine in it (so no actual tea). The wait for the drinks was reasonable. About 5-7 min for both. Looks like they stay pretty steady. There was some girls eating in the lobby and a large family came in while I was on my way out. There were 3-4 staff working and laughing with each other. When my order was ready I picked it up and left. Drinks themselves are average. The strawberry matcha was good. I was worried I wouldn't be able to taste the matcha but it's a good balance between the tea and the strawberry. I love that there are real strawberry slices inside too. It's definitely on the sweet side but there's an option to order it less sweet. Not much to say about the plain boba tea. It was a black milk tea, sweetened with milk. Again, okay but not great. The boba pearls were a bit too hard for my liking. Overall, I wasn't impressed. There are definitely better options for a boba tea in the area. Perhaps the ice cream is better and I may return to give it a try. read more
