The Greenery Creamery is an artisanal ice cream shop co-founded in 2018 by Marie and Mo in the Thornton Park district of Orlando. On a visit with my daughter a few years ago I fell in love with their high quality, locally sourced ingredients and unusual flavors. Fun fact, Marie is a trained opera singer. She has gone on to open Sampaguita, a Filipino dessert shop in the Mills District. I was in Sanford stopping for dinner at Henry's Depot and was surprised to discover that Greenery Creamery had opened a second location, a stall in this food hall. It was so hard to pick from all the amazing flavors so I sampled a few with the help the very nice young man who was working and ended up giving great recommendations for dinner. After I ate I came back for the iconic Black Ash Coconut in one of their famous charcoal activated cones which is reputed to have health benefits like helping stomach pains and curing hangovers. A single scoop of ice cream in a charcoal cone was only $5. Other ice cream flavors that were offered on my visit included Dad's Actual Favorite Flavor, Peach Cobbler, and Ube Brownie which is a purple yam ice cream. They also had a collaboration with Bungalower for Planet Earth, a coconut lime and melon ice cream in a naturally colored blue and green hue. Some of the flavors are vegan, dairy, and gluten free. This is inside of a food hall! At first I had a little trouble finding it but I'm sharing a picture of what the outside looks like in case anyone is clueless about this area like me. They have a lot of fun flavors! Half of them are vegan. I ordered a Triple C - which has coffee and chocolate cookies in it - with chocolate sauce on the top. $5 ish for one small scoop plus another dollar for the chocolate. The coffee flavor was lovely and mild. Paired well with the chocolate and cookies. Service was friendly. We got the trio in order to try the Coffee cookies & cream, Sour Florida Orange Pie, and the Peanut Butter Brookie (which I liked in that order). Overall, they were all good but there was something slightly 'watery' tasting with all of them like they had a bit more milk vs. flavoring. It wasn't icy, and it was very creamy although it melted on the quicker side - again, not bad, but I could have appreciated more flavor if that makes sense. I visited over two years ago and couldn't remember the name of this place and I surprisingly did not leave a review so had to scour Yelp to find it. I don't remember what I ordered, but I do remember it was in a cute location, the service was very friendly, and the star of the show was the hibiscus crystals on top of my very creamy ice cream. If you're one of the few people out there thank likes Ice Cream, then you may enjoy this location of The Greenery Creamery. They have both dairy and non-dairy (vegan) flavors to scoop as well as Soft Serve. You can choose to have the ice cream in a cup or in your choice of cone (I love their black ash coconut cone). I wish they had a menu/price board behind the counter so you can at least see the price per scoop, cone, etc. They have a tiny laminated menu to look at and if you don't want to grab something everyone else is touching, then it's tough to get a read on what to get. The scoops were a tad on the smaller side, especially for the price. I guess if you get multiple scoops, the price per scoop goes down. But starting at the $4.25 mark for one scoop is kind of high, especially for the size. Look at the pics and judge for yourself. They need to be consistent as looking at some of the other pictures from other Yelp! folks with more than one scoop, their scoops look bigger than mine. The black ash coconut ice cream was good, but not as good as the black ash cone. The speculoos was good as well (cookie butter flavor), but some of the pints you can get in a grocery store can be better than these. And at $5.50 for two tiny scoops (before you add any cone), you have to think if you really want to pay a lot for that amount of ice cream. Same with the ice cream sandwich, pricey! They do have lots of interesting flavors that I'm guessing will rotate around based on ingredients and seasons. They also have some baked goods (vegan and non-vegan). read more

This place is tucked away with some other restaurants, there's not a wide selection, but it's enough to satisfy your early afternoon or late night craving! This was my first greenery creamery adventure, i have been hearing great things about it so i was excited to try! There is no signage whatsoever indicating the name of the establishment so if i hadn't looked online beforehand i wouldn't have known that the ice cream place inside Henry's Depot was in fact Greenery Creamery. Not sure if they're a new vendor and just haven't gotten their sign yet or what. I opted for the double scoop because i couldn't decide on which flavor i wanted. I ended up with speculoos and birthday cake. I got it in a cup with a waffle cone on top. By far, the waffle cone was the star of the show, it was easily the best waffle cone I've ever had. I'm not sure what they do but it was different in a good way! As for the ice cream it was good but not as good as i expected due to all the hype. It tasted kind of chalky which is kind of ironic since the word "cream" is in their name. You hear creamery you think of creamy ice cream, this wasn't the case. I usually go to the downtown location and decided to go to the Sanford location since I was in the area one time. Unfortunately this location is not in as good of sharp and does not offer the same level of service. The workers did not seem to notice a customer walked up and I had to wait a long time for my milkshake. When I received it it was not frozen all the way and by the time I walked to my car and sat down it was a cup of strawberry milk. We decided to stop at this stand after running some errands. The whole location is pretty cool because it's like a food market so you can try different restaurants all in one location.
