I'm mostly a solo rider, sometimes riding with a small group of friends, and occasionally joining a larger group. Today, I joined the 4th Annual Gut Check Ride, hosted by the Call of Liberty MC in support of the nonprofit United We March. 25 bikes participated! The ride followed the Delta Loop -- Gunnison, Nephi, Delta, Scipio, and back to Gunnison. For me, it was 210 miles of riding! The ride was well planned, well executed, and safe. From what I could tell, everyone had a great time! A big THANK YOU to Paul Harnett and Call of Liberty MC for allowing me to participate. I'm glad I got to be part of it! And, of course... let's not forget LUNCH! ASHTON BURGER BARN & BUTCHER SHOP -- DELTA Great burgers, fries, ice cream, AND a butcher shop! My choice: Cheeseburger -- lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle and cheese. Just the right amount of toppings! Fries -- homestyle, just the way I like them! LEE'S LOCAL VERDICT: Great food. A fun place to stop for lunch. And they easily handled the sudden rush of 25+ hungry bikers! Worth the ride? ABSOLUTELY! If you're in Delta, stop by Ashton Burger Barn & Butcher Shop. They've got around 10 flavors, and from what I saw on their Facebook page they switch flavors every two weeks. The flavors I tried, yellow cake batter and rocky road, were both great. They've got a lot of toppings, more than I remember seeing at other yogurt joints, and the ones I had were good quality. I really like the fizzy cotton candy things. There price is good as well. I liked that they had a smaller container. Usually I go to a yogurt place, grab the one size container and fill it with more than I want. Here I got the exact amount I wanted and only paid ~$3. They also seem to have a display case for other desserts, but I didn't see anything in them. They've been around for a couple months now though.
