She informed us that she makes all of her own ice as well as the syrups used, which she makes with cane sugar and no preservatives. Loved hearing that!! I got Tiger Blood which is a longtime favorite of mine and my husband had plain ole Orange because he's boring. Ha! Both were delicious and satisfying of my craving. The shop itself is so cute and FILLED with Coca Cola brand collectible items. It was so cool to see what appeared to be the owner's lifetime collection as it gave the place some added charm. Apparently before, it was Blue Bell ice cream, but now it's just soft serve. I think the soft serve and slow service kinda made me give them 4 stars, but besides that everything else was perfect! The shaved ice was incredibly light and fluffy, and the flavor had the perfect balance of orange and cream. It was so good we went back the very next day. Day two, we tried the Strawberry Shortcake. The flavor itself was delicious, but the crushed graham crackers gave it a slightly dry texture that wasn't our favorite. Still tasty, just not as magical as the Orange Creamsicle. He was having numerous middle man delivery issues and so had recently switched to Yoder's Southern Creamery from the Amish in Saratoga. We were disappointed to say the least. Fortunately Yoder's was up for the challenge - their ice cream was on a par with our beloved Chocolate Shoppe. I had the Triple Peanut Butter with Chocolate Fudge Brownie, my wife the Moose Tracks and a Gator flavor. All flavors were fantastic, rich and creamy!
