I love iCafe. It's so small and cute and nestled in next to a bigger restaurant, but still manages to make its presence felt.
In particular, I LOVE their furniture. The chairs and tables outside are just so cute! The chairs are wicker, and adorned with patchwork cushions of different colours and patterns, it's very homey indeed.
Aside from which, the staff are the friendliest I have ever seen. They seem so happy to see you, and eager to please.
AND they serve breakfast all day! We all know that's my weak-spot.
I had the 'big breakfast' (obviously), which consisted of two pieces of toast, a slice of tomato, mushrooms, chorizo, bacon, and a fried egg.
The mushrooms were absolutely phenomenal. I've never been a big mushroom fan, but holy shit. The chorizo was equally great.
My only two complaints; the pieces of toast were fairly unsatisfying. They were only sparsely buttered, and really, they were those triangular toasts... which amount to half-toasts.. which amounts to one piece of toast, with the whole breakfast. That's just not enough! Also, although the eggs were free-range (good on you, iCafe!), the toast was white, and I was given no option about whether I'd like white, or brown, or wholegrain, etc.
Second, they didn't ask me how I liked my egg! What if I hadn't wanted a fried egg (which I hadn't)! Or what if I had wanted my fried egg with the yolk well-done instead of runny (which I did)!
Small things, but it's always better to give your customer options.
Still, all told, I'd definitely eat here again. read more
