Very small space in hotel. Inside lobby is nice, but the rooms are so small! Once you walk in, this is the whole room basically with your bed blocking the way to luggage. read more

Disappointing Health & Hygiene Failure -- Management Refused to Address Medical Costs!…read more We chose the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes for its reputation for impeccable luxury and service during our multi-week, exclusively five-star European trip (09/22/25-10/10/25). Unfortunately, our stay was severely marred by a serious health and hygiene issue, which was then compounded by a deeply unsatisfactory response from management. On morning of Oct 4th 2025 my wife, Kelly , suffered multiple insect bites of unknown origin while sleeping in the bedding of our room number 724. The bites were serious enough to cause significant distress, lost sleep, and required immediate medical attention. The hotel arranged for a physician to visit, who confirmed the presence of insect bites and prescribed a course of strong medication, including Ivermectin (an antiparasitic drug), along with topical Cortisone. This required us to pay for the medical consultation and prescription out-of-pocket, expenses we would not have incurred otherwise. While the Guest Relations team did facilitate a room change, the General Manager, Mr. Charles Richez, later formally refused all requests for compensation, including reimbursement for the required medical expenses. The GM cited a lack of "conclusive evidence" (despite the documented physician's report and strong prescriptions) and offered a vague, future-use complimentary upgrade instead of resolving the current financial and physical harm. For a hotel that prides itself on luxury, this failure is unacceptable. The issue is not just the presence of a biting insect that caused physical distress, but the complete failure of the General Manager to take accountability and resolve the tangible out-of-pocket costs resulting from a health hazard on their property. I invite all future guests before choosing to stay at this hotel, to take a look at the pics taken on 10/04 and 10/07/2025 to decide themself what it looks like! Do you really want to take this risk for yourself and your family? Prospective guests should be aware that if a serious issue arises, management prioritizes denying financial liability over supporting their high-value clientele.

We have had a theft of 5,000 euro out of our room which was very well secured (or so we thought). We reported the theft and the hotel merely took a report and did nothing else. After now reading online this appears to be a common issue, so if you plan to stay at the Carlton, leave no valuables in your room!!

The staff handled it very smoothly, and professional acknowledgment, which I appreciated. The suite itself was spacious, clean, and well laid out, with a separate living area and a terrace that had a partial sea view. Not over-the-top flashy, but very comfortable and exactly what you'd want on the Riviera. Location is honestly one of the biggest highlights. You're right on the Croisette, steps from the beach, restaurants, and boutiques. It made it easy to just walk everywhere and really enjoy Cannes without overplanning anything. Service throughout the stay was consistently good. Housekeeping was attentive without being intrusive, and the front desk team was helpful whenever I had questions. The rooftop pool area is also worth mentioning great spot to relax, especially later in the afternoon when it's less crowded. All in all, the upgrade definitely made the stay more memorable, and I'd come back especially if traveling as a Bonvoy platinum member where those perks can really elevate the experience.

There is a nice adjoining mall and plenty of other shops on rue Serbes. Make sure to bring your $$$ though as Cannes really does cater to the very wealthy. Besides a slight misunderstanding with a maid (she spoke only French, my French is not to best) the entire four nights we stayed there was very pleasant.

Staff was professional and helpful, breakfast was expensive but worth it. Had an issue one day with not getting neither housekeeping nor turndown service, which in the July heat is more than frustrating when you're lacking clean towels without sand from the beach on them for the next day. Asked the staff if we could have housekeeping when we noticed we hadn't gotten turndown either, but sadly it was too late at night. We went to the hotel lobby bar, where suddenly the hotel manager came and apologized and offered us complimentary champagne, and we discovered the next day the housekeeper had left us a letter of apology and some chocolate boxes for our inconvenience. They absolutely more than redeemed themselves, which says a lot about the level of customer service. I am definitely staying here the next time I'm visiting Cannes.

If you've ever read my reviews, you would know that I'm a crazed food whore with a drinking…read moreproblem. Because of that, I limit my reviews to restaurants and booze bars... HOWEVER, I recently went to Cannes and was amaaazed by this cute little villa-hotel and I feel it my unicorn duty to let the whole world know the magic of this place! When picturing Cannes, you imagine glamorous people chic-ishly cat-walking down the sparkling cote-d'azure runway-sidewalks wearing the latest garments newly created by the best fashinistas in the universe! Or you might picture an international gathering of film lovers discussing the latest indie film which they are SURE you've never heard of before. Amidst the fame stricken coast, you might imagine having to pay for accommodations with either your first born child or through precious gems yet to be discovered in the Himalayas. But wait.... How will you afford all the 30 EUR martinis while you're out dancing and trying to hook up with up and coming movie stars?? I wasn't able to justify paying for a hotel with golden bars, so I decided to free style my visit. Realistically there were three options: 1. Find someone rich to shag and sleep at their place 2. Get super wasted and "fall asleep" somewhere on the beach 3. Hope the travel gods favor me that day and find a random place to stay. Although #1 and #2 could have easily happened, while walking through the city that day, a ray of sunshine landed upon an establishment. I felt as if nothing else was visible and I was slowly being sucked in by this quaint and charming location. Where am I?? I thought.... And before I knew it, I realized I was in the Chanteclair. Oh the Chanteclair - I hope no one finds you so you can be all mine whenever I want to Cannes it up again. With your 15 well-kept rooms, each with their own style and design, I feel like I can be charmed by your sweet French je ne sais quoi 15 times. And what can be better after a night of absolute pleasure and comfort than a French breakfast with sun golden flaky croissants, warm welcoming baguettes and French press coffee sure to wake you up no matter WHAT kind of night you had. Suddenly I woke up from my dream and realized that a surely a place like this would charge me 1 liver and 6.8 fingers. But to my surprise, the rates were NOT going to drain my bank account! As soon as I realized I CANNES stay in this beautifully magical lodge in the middle of the city, I booked and never looked back. There is NO WAY I would stay anywhere else and the two guys that run this place are nothing short of completely hospitable and jolly unicorns!! I want to tell people not to stay here... but really... stay here!!!!

Stayed at the presidential suite on the 4th floor, spacious accommodations. Not sure if the perk for the room or Covid, but the minibar was complementary and endlessly replenished the entire week. Breakfast on the room top standard continental fare and dishes made to order, great view. Pool is just for soaking, about a meter deep, not for swimming, also quite small. But again, people don't come to Cannes for the pool. Beach clubs are very close by and concierge will reserve prime spots for you. The Roof bar is rocking all night, if you are silent, despite the sound dampening you can detect the subwoofers vibration in your suite, so light sleepers beware, or go upstairs and join the party. Probably the nicest hotel to the convention center, so definitely a hidden gem if attending the CFF. Looking forward to returning soon, 10/10.

Best Western Cannes Riviera
If I could give it O stars I would…read more I had a highly disappointing experience at the Best Western Plus Cannes, which I would unfortunately rate as the worst hotel I've ever visited. The room I booked was advertised with air conditioning, yet the temperature soared to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius), making it extremely uncomfortable. Despite the unbearable heat, the staff was unhelpful and outright refused to offer any meaningful accommodation or a refund. Upon check-in, I was initially offered a room overlooking the atrium where guests have breakfast, which I refused due to privacy concerns. The response from the manager, Arnaud, was incredibly unprofessional, informing me that I was out of luck and even threatening to call the police over the room dispute. The rooms were not only small but also poorly decorated. Not to mention the room I was assigned #227 had an awful bathroom door. The door slammed shut and the door knob smashed me in the arm leaving a severe black and blue mark (see attached Photo). Despite its prime location, the overall experience was a nightmare. The hotel itself felt outdated and poorly maintained, with a dark, unwelcoming lobby that resembled a dungeon, and a pool that looked nothing like the advertised photos. I am suing this hotel and will find a way to get my money back! If they cant pay me back, then they can pay for the litigation costs which will be well over the $500 I am deserved as a refund. It's great to have over 100 lawyer friends in all different countries! Game on Best Western Cannes! You will pay!!!!
