Sadly, I booked this hotel for two days. I think we should have stayed in Cannes instead…read more This hotel is expensive and I'm trying to figure out why. Finding the hotel was such an ordeal then they wanted to charge you for everything, in fact it was the only place in all of France during our trip which charged for Internet Service. I was not impressed, our room was run down and there was nothing special about it. On the positive, the staff is very nice and this hotel is located in the business district so apparently that is a good location but I would not stay here again.

Everything about this place is magical, down to the exceptional breakfast and wonderful music over late-night drinks. I would selfishly like to keep this place a secret, but they deserve to succeed. Tiara is a fantastic place to relax and reset. The rooms were spacious, and we sprung for one with a patio that overlooked the water, which was well worth it. All that said, the restaurant food wasn't up to snuff, especially compared to the rest of the resort, so that was a big letdown.

In the summer prices of hotels are escalating in the area but they stay reasonable there with doubles between EUR180 and EUR285 including breakfast). You will find very large roooms in this small hotel (in spite of its name it is more of a hotel than a Mas which means villa) with a beautiful open view on Pampelonne and the green hills around, a swimming pool around which you can have a typically French breakfast (including local and international newspapers), and even a tennis (a bit run-down). The service was pro and friendly, worth stressing in a region not known for the friendliness of its service unfortunately. The hotel is a 5 minutes drive from the village and the beaches, just opposite the opulent entrance of the Chateau de la Messardiere. A good option.

It is a pitiful culinary experience in a gorgeous location!…read moreWe tried their "gourmet" restaurant Le St Martin as well as L'oliveraie. Not only once but twice each just because we wanted to give it a second chance. Both have a very good service. Le St Martin is a classy restaurant with a gorgeous view. L'oliveraie is just a lovely outdoor brunch/lunch restaurant. The only problem is that the food is just terrible! At the gastro, nothing original in the menu to begin with. Nice wine selection though! Totally NOT impressed with their "mise en bouche" (veggie soup) and their beef fillet was everything but a fillet. Hard and barely edible. So let's not call this a gastro anymore please or less they change the chef! As per L'oliveraie, every dish was a disaster. I thought it would be hard to mess up a club sandwich but yes, they managed to ruin this as well! I would advise the group to really think about hiring a good chef that knows what he's doing because even in a such gorgeous place, people would easily run away or simply never go back. This is in France, one of the best cuisine in the world. C'mon!

The lobby itself was unclean and gave an immediate impression that the hotel was not being properly cared for. The check-in experience was equally disappointing. The concierge was watching television during check-in, which came across as unprofessional and inattentive. When I raised concerns about my room, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. The biggest issue, however, was that my room had bed bugs. That alone made the room completely unacceptable to stay in. I was offered another room, but it was extremely dirty and in no way reflected the photos or positive reviews I had relied on when booking. Instead of enjoying my trip, I had to spend valuable vacation time searching for another hotel at the last minute. It was stressful, inconvenient, and completely avoidable. I cannot recommend this property. Between the bed bugs, the poor cleanliness throughout the building, the misleading online photos, and the unprofessional check-in experience, this hotel fell far below even basic expectations.
