I did not order ahead, I placed my order in store to get the hottest possible pizza, and I ended up ordering 3 small pies to try some different slices. I ordered two small cheese pizzas, one with mozzarella cheese and the other with Romano cheese, and the third pizza was a deluxe. To begin, I really enjoyed the Romano cheese pizza. The Romano cheese has a sharp flavor, but it doesn't over power the sauce in anyway. The sauce was sweet, tangy, and really shined with the Romano. Most important, it wasn't greasy. The mozzarella cheese pizza was good, but the thicker cheese reduced the sauce flavor a bit, still good, and with all of the pies, the crust is a very light and airy crust which is pleasant to eat. Lastly, for the deluxe, I could have done without that. It was greasy, heavy, but my biggest issue, you can tell some of the toppings came right from a can. Overall, 3.5/5 for me at this pizzeria. I'd come back again, however, I'd stick with the cheese Romano pizza.

I have to give a shoutout to their staff for their handling & caring of a older lady who came into Uptown Pizza lost & upset. She could have been anyone's Grandma. It was dark out & I felt so bad for her & wanted to help her but I don't know the area well enough to give her any type of direction. The staff at Uptown Pizza sprung into action to help her. Since it was so late & dark they opted to call the Boardman Police to escort her to her destination. That is what you do to foster a good community by being the reason the community is good. Some patrons were lucky enough to be seated without reservation at the small bar area, but that is not a guarantee . However, reservations here are a guarantee and the experience was great . This is a casual dining experience inside a home built in the1920's. Our waitress was kind, attentive and informative . I felt like a relaxed guest in a home that wants you to have a good time and enjoy spectacular food. We had the pistachio lasagna, pasta Alla Norma , pizelle fritte napoletane , arancini , insalata caprese , sfogliatella and all was delicious . We will be back to try the pizzas and more !
