Welcome to Yali Dance Academy, proudly part of the International Arts Education Center (IAEC).
With over 36 years of teaching experience and a team of internationally acclaimed instructors, we are dedicated to bringing world-class dance education to the Los Angeles community at affordable prices. Our mission is to inspire a lifelong love of dance while helping every student discover their potential.
We offer a wide variety of classes, including Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Chinese Folk and Ethnic Dance, Gymnastics, Aerobics, dance fundamentals, tumbling, flips, and floor techniques.
Our programs welcome children, teens, and adults of all skill levels, whether you’re stepping into a dance studio for the first time, dancing for fitness and fun, or preparing for competitions and performances.
At Yali Dance Academy, we believe dance is more than movement. It builds confidence, discipline, creativity, coordination, flexibility, and teamwork. Through personalized guidance and a supportive learning environment, our instructors encourage students to develop strong techniques, express themselves, and grow both on and off the stage.

History
Established in 2009.
Yali Dance Academy, part of the International Arts Education Center (IAEC), has proudly served the local community since 2009.
Our journey began with just 20 students, sharing classroom space with another school and a simple mission: to make high-quality dance education accessible to families in our community.
Through years of dedication, passionate teaching, and the support of our wonderful students and families, our dance academy has grown to approximately 80 students and established its own dedicated dance studio.
Under the guidance of Teacher Yali and our experienced instructors, we continue to nurture young dancers, celebrate cultural traditions, and inspire students of all ages through the joy of dance.
What began as a small dance program has grown into a welcoming dance family, and we look forward to sharing our passion with future generations!
Meet the Business Owner: Yali L.
The founder and current president, Yali Liu, was a well-known professional dancer with multiple Chinese national awards during the 1980s. She was also a famous sports acrobatics coach fo the Chinese national team representing Sichuan province between 1984 and 1992. Her pupils were selected to represent China and won many gold medals in a myriad of international sport acrobatic competitions.
Ms. Ya li Liu received her BS degree from Sichuan Sports Technology College in Chengdu, Sichuan. She was a visiting scholar studying modern dance in German from 1992 - 1995. She immigrated to the United States in 1995. Currently, she dedicates herself to the cultural exchange by introducing the masterpieces of Chinese culture such as Chinese folk dance and other performing arts to the community.
